Women’s Royal Rumble
The 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble kicked off the show as Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan entered at Number 1 and 2 respectively whilst Roxanne Perez came out at Number 3! Some of the highlights were Chelsea Green picking up not 1, but 2 eliminations, Jordynne Grace making her official WWE debut, Alexa Bliss making her return to honestly the biggest pop of the night, and getting a Main Roster VS NXT standoff between Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair taking on Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and Roxanne Perez! Nia Jax also ran wild, picking up 9 eliminations including Liv, Iyo, and the returning duo of Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella! Ultimately, the final 3 came down to Charlotte, Roxanne, and Nia, with Flair managing to dump Jax out of the ring before she eliminated The Prodigy to seal her WrestleMania fate! Firstly, I enjoyed this match, I thought there was an awful lot of star power throughout, and for Roxanne Perez to break the record for the longest performance in a Women’s Royal Rumble is awesome! However, there were a few things that held it back slightly, with Alexa Bliss’ return being both cool and underwhelming (in terms of her performance in the match), and Charlotte Flair winning is a bit dull if we’re being honest!

WWE Tag Team Championships 2-out-of-3 Falls Match: DIY VS Motor City Machine Guns
It was then time for the first Championship match of the night as DIY put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against the Motor City Machine Guns in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match! The action was good here, with both teams showcasing their chemistry together, but unfortunately, the crowd were pretty flat which honestly wasn’t that surprising! DIY managed to pick up the first fall after an amazing trick play whilst the MCMG were able to level things up following Skull and Bones! Both teams then really pushed for the final fall, knowing it was “All or Nothing”, but in a surprising turn of events, The Street Profits arrived and attacked Alex Shelley which opened the door for Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano to get the win with Meet in the Middle! After the match, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins laid waste to Ciampa and Gargano to send a clear message of intent!

Undisputed WWE Championship Ladder Match: Cody Rhodes VS Kevin Owens
An incredibly heated rivalry came to a close as Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens fought in a Ladder Match with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line! This was a very physical match, with both men putting a lot on the line in order to leave as the Champion! I also thought this was just really fun to watch, but the one bump that Cody took onto a Ladder that was set up was insane! We also had a “Little Ladder” which was genuinely hilarious, but after that nasty bump, Nick Aldis and a bunch of WWE officials arrived to check on them both, and in fact, Sami Zayn also arrived! However, Zayn didn’t get involved, and instead watched Rhodes snap, busting Owens’ face open before The American Nightmare sent KO crashing through a Ladder in what was definitely the toughest spot of the night! This then led to Cody Rhodes climbing the Ladder and retaining his Undisputed WWE Championship, and I get the feeling that Sami Zayn is not going to be very happy about any of this!

Men’s Royal Rumble
And in the Main Event, it was all about the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble Match! Luchadores started it off, with Rey Mysterio and Penta being the first two entrants, and this was definitely a contest of two halves! The first half had some good bits, with IShowSpeed making an appearance, only to get killed by Bron Breakker, and Jacob Fatu also arrived and ran wild too! However, Carmelo Hayes entered at Number 4 and was the first man to be eliminated, and that’s simply not good enough, Melo should be being booked a lot stronger than he is! However, Number 15 saw the arrival of Joe Hendry which was super cool, and when Roman Reigns arrived next, things really started to pick up! Roman ran wild, eliminating the TNA World Champion (which was actually pretty cool) before Reigns got wrecked by a Bron Breakker Spear before he managed to eliminate the Intercontinental Champion! Drew McIntyre was then out next so we got another awesome stare-off, and later in the match, we got an insane moment where Roman Reigns, John Cena, CM Punk, and Seth “Freakin” Rollins were all in the ring at the same time whilst AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, and Jey Uso were also hanging around! Damian Priest also managed to eliminate Drew which was a surprise whilst the Number 30 entrant Logan Paul managed to get rid of AJ! We then got another amazing bit as Roman Reigns and Seth “Freakin” Rollins went at each other, and there hatred for each other cost them as CM Punk managed to eliminate them both, only for Punk to get eliminated by Paul! Seth then delivered the most vicious Stomp you will ever see to Roman before he delivered a second one onto the Steel Steps as CM Punk checked on Paul Heyman before we were down to 2 as John Cena was able to eliminate The Maverick! The final 2 being John Cena and Jey Uso is actually pretty cool when you consider the different type of careers the two men have had, and in the end, it was Jey that was able to eliminate Cena to fully establish himself as “Main Event” Jey Uso! Jey winning is really cool, the stuff between Seth and Roman was great, Bron Breakker and Jacob Fatu had strong showings, and yeah, this was a lot of fun!
