Jimmy Uso Starts the Show, LA Knight VS Carmelo Hayes: United States Championship
WWE Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with the returning Jimmy Uso as Jimmy talked about his last 6 months on the shelf and how he’s coming to get revenge on Solo Sikoa! This is when Roman Reigns arrived to make it clear that he doesn’t like the position that his Bloodline is in before Uso hinted at potentially getting Jey Uso backing into the Family. However, Roman responded by saying “No Yeet” which was a fantastic line! The segment then ended with Jimmy telling Reigns that he’s the only one left in the family that acknowledges him, and you could tell this bothered The Head of the Table! This was all well done, especially Roman’s acting!

We then headed into the first match of the night as LA Knight put his United States Championship on the line against Carmelo Hayes! This was a decent little match, both guys can go in the ring, and there were some good manoeuvres from both men! Andrade was also at ringside and he actually ended up distracting both men, but in the end, it was Knight who spiked Melo with a BFT to score the 3!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill VS Meta-Four, Nia Jax VS Naomi
Jimmy Uso praised Cody Rhodes in a backstage segment before Meta-Four got a video package. During their entrance however, Kevin Owens appeared to try and tell his side of the story over the whole Cody Rhodes Parking Lot attack! However, KO’s mic was cut off before Cody arrived, only to be cut off by security. However, Randy Orton then appeared to try and calm down Owens, but Kevin delivered an elbow to The Viper which is when Orton floored his buddy to end the segment! Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill then arrived as it was finally time for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to be on the line! Lash Legend showed out here, she dominated Bianca Belair, and refused to let Jade Cargill into the ring. However, after Lash got distracted taking out Chelsea Green, Belair and Cargill hit their Tag Team finisher onto Jakara Jackson to just win! Like, Legend looked great here, but Miss Jackson looked terrible! Also, I still haven’t seen Jade Cargill wrestle a proper match!
Grade: C
Nia Jax was out next as the WWE Women’s Champion talked about her win over Bayley at Bad Blood and her upcoming Champion VS Champion match with Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel! Nia’s big plan is to destroy Liv, take the Crown Jewel Championship, and then watch Tiffany Stratton cash-in her Money in the Bank Briefcase on Morgan to become the new Women’s World Champion! This is when Naomi arrived to challenge Queen Nia to a match before Liv Morgan and her crew (Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez) arrived to watch from ringside. This match between Jax and Naomi was actually alright, both women pulled off some good moves, and it got a decent amount of time! However, I’m not sure I liked the finish. See, Raquel Rodriguez stopped Tiffany Stratton from using her MITB Briefcase as a weapon before Raquel distracted the referee, allowing Liv Morgan to take out Nia Jax before Naomi hit a super Powerbomb to pin the WWE Women’s Champion! I don’t know, I’m not sure Nia Jax losing is a good thing!
Grade: C+
Carmelo Hayes told Nick Aldis that he wasn’t happy about Andrade’s interference before Aldis told Melo that he and Andrade should have a Game 7 to end things once and for all! Legado Del Fantasma then arrived as Santos Escobar demanded Championship opportunities which is when the SmackDown General Manager teased a debuting Tag Team for next week! Solo Sikoa then cut a promo on his “big brother” Jimmy Uso before The Street Profits and DIY were shouting at each other in the back. Nick Aldis then ran off as Kevin Owens was attacking Randy Orton in the Parking Lot after Randy had told Cody he’d fix everything earlier in the night!
Jimmy Uso VS Solo Sikoa
And in the Main Event, Jimmy Uso made his in-ring return to take on the man who put him on the shelf, Solo Sikoa! This was a fun Main Event, the crowd were well hot for Jimmy Uso whilst Solo Sikoa was very much acting like Roman Reigns with all the trash-talking mid-match! To be fair, Jimmy was able to get quite a bit of offense in, but the problem is he couldn’t sustain those attacks because Jacob Fatu would keep wiping him out! In the end, Solo was able to win with the Samoan Spike before The Tongans started to beat down on Uso! However, Roman Reigns then arrived to make the save, but the numbers advantage eventually caught up to him as Reigns got floored by his own Samoan Spike! The show then went off the air with The Bloodline celebrating on the ramp whilst Jimmy was telling Roman “we need him!”
