Logan Paul Starts the Show, A-Town Down Under VS Kevin Owens and Randy Orton
Logan Paul started this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown as The Maverick wanted to talk about a few things. One of those things was the fact that Prime have partnered up with WWE to be their official “ring sponsor” for every Premium Live Event going forward. Logan then got his buddy KSI to come into the ring before Randy Orton arrived and dropped the YouTuber with an RKO. This was totally fine, and yeah, there isn’t really much else to say about it.

We then went straight into the first match of the night as Randy Orton teamed up with Kevin Owens to take on A-Town Down Under. This was a decently fun match, it was pretty simple stuff as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller bumped around for Orton and KO a bit before the Babyfaces ultimately got the win with a lovely Pop-Up RKO! After the match, Logan Paul attempted to attack his rivals with some brass knuckles, but he failed miserably. Paul-Owens-Orton very much looks like the United States Championship match at WrestleMania.

Bobby Lashley VS Karrion Kross, Michin VS Tiffany Stratton, Angel VS Dragon Lee
Bayley cut a pretty decent promo on how she’s having to deal with Damage CTRL herself because of her past mistakes before we saw Naomi watching on with sympathy whilst Bianca Belair couldn’t care less. I liked all of this! We then into a match between Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross that got a decent amount of time, even though it was a little bit pointless. Unfortunately, this feud just hasn’t worked for me and this didn’t help as A.O.P. just showed up to cause the Disqualification before The Street Profits arrived to even the odds. However, in the end, it was The Final Testament who stood tall somehow!
Grade: C
Dragon Lee got into an argument with Legado Del Fantasma backstage before it was time for Michin to take on Tiffany Stratton. This match went a little bit too short given for my liking as both Michin and Tiffany are talented in-ring workers. However, it is great to see Stratton’s popularity so early in her Main Roster run, and in the end, The Center of the Universe nailed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to pick up another strong win.

AJ Styles cut a really good Heel promo on LA Knight before we saw The Megastar smash a TV up with a steel chair for some reason! Tyler Bate was then playing WWE 2K24 because why not before it was time for Dragon Lee to go one-on-one with "Legado Del Fantasma’s" Angel. This was another decent match, with plenty of smooth moments, but it did also get interrupted by an advert break. In the end, Lee got the victory before he got dropped by Santos Escobar and LDF to end the segment.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Cody Rhodes Respond to The Bloodline’s Challenge
Roman Reigns and The Rock both arrived to make it clear that they are united before Cody Rhodes and Seth “Freakin” Rollins arrived through the crowd Shield-style (which was really cool). Before Cody Rhodes could say much, The Rock shut The American Nightmare down to reiterate the rules of their potential Tag Team match before Seth Rollins cut a fiery promo on Rocky before he accepted the challenge meaning the Main Event of WrestleMania XL Night 1 is set. After this, The Rock reminded the Babyfaces that he’s their boss before Rhodes slapped The Rock to end the show after Dwayne called him “a mistake”. This was superb! Roman Reigns was great here, Cody Rhodes look right here, and The Rock and Seth “Freakin” Rollins were particularly great!
