Once again, we start with the one, the only, Oliver Rowland! Oliver showed great pace all weekend, and he actually looked in complete control of the win in Friday’s Race, only to be overtaken in the penultimate corner by Maximilian Gunther! However, just a day later and Rowland was on it once again, but this time, he made sure to get the job done as Ollie Rowland took his second victory of the season by nearly 6 seconds! 4 Rounds in and Oliver already has a 17-point lead at the top, and you’d have to say that there’s a great chance he’ll extend that gap moving forward!

Loser: Mitch Evans

The entire Jeddah E-Prix Weekend was a bit of a disaster for Mitch Evans! Firstly, Mitch collided with not 1, but 2 drivers on the opening lap of Round 3, and the damage sustained forced Evans into an early pit stop that he was never able to recover from! Now, with a second Race, Mitch had a great chance to bounce straight back, but that too never happened as The Kiwi was forced to retire, putting an end to a pretty miserable weekend!

Winners: Maserati MSG Racing

When it comes to the team of the weekend, you could very much make an argument for Maserati MSG Racing! Not only did the team score double points in both Races, but Jake Hughes ended yesterday’s Race on the Podium whilst Stoffel Vandoorne came all the way from starting last to finishing P6! Maserati MSG are now on a run of 3-straight double-points finishes and that leaves the team currently standing P5 in the Teams’ Championship, and that’s a good place to be at this stage of the season! Whether Hughes and Vandoorne are able to keep it up is another thing, but right now, Maserati deserve some praise!

Losers: Envision Racing

Whilst Maserati MSG scored plenty of points, the same couldn’t be said for Envision Racing who left the weekend the same way they entered it! Friday’s Race wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t good either as Sebastien Buemi and Robin Frijns came across the line in P12 and P13 respectively, but the Race the following day was a lot different! Firstly, something went wrong for Buemi as he came into the pits early in what wrecked his entire chances of a good result whilst Frijns was leading the Race at one point, only to completely tumble out of the points due to a lack of efficiency! After 4 Rounds, Envision are 9th in the Teams’ Standings with just 6 points to their name, and that’s pretty horrendous when you consider that they were Champions in Season 9!

Winner and Loser: Maximilian Gunther

Oh, what a weekend of two halves for Maximilian Gunther! I mean, Friday went amazingly as after taking Pole Position, Gunther stayed towards the front for the large majority of the Race before a terrific burst of pace in the closing stages resulted in the German getting his first win in DS Penske colours! However, despite Qualifying again going pretty decently, Max Gunther completely mistimed his braking into Turn 4 as he piled into the side of Antonio Felix da Costa which ultimately took both men out of the E-Prix! I mean, a win and 29 points from a weekend is definitely something you would take, but in a series like Formula E, Maximilian Gunther definitely left points on the table!

Losers: TAG Heuer Porsche

Whilst I was originally just going to focus on one specific driver, I actually think TAG Heuer Porsche as a whole should be mentioned here! The team came into the weekend with already a healthy lead in the Teams’ Championship whilst Antonio Felix da Costa led the Drivers’ Championship! However, an incident for da Costa in the second Race (which wasn’t his fault) forced him to retire meaning Antonio left the weekend with just 2 points to his name! As for his teammate, Pascal Wehrlein got driven into the back of by Mitch Evans which straight away ruined his Race on Friday whilst yesterday’s E-Prix saw Pascal finish just 8th, meaning Porsche came away from a double-header weekend with just 6 points! That’s simply not good enough, and we need to mention that Pascal Wehrlein is currently miles off Oliver Rowland!

Winner: Taylor Barnard

Let’s once again end with the Rookie sensation, Taylor Barnard! Firstly, Taylor had a great Friday to take home a second Podium of the season, and it’s worth mentioning that he was right there in terms of the fight for the win! On Saturday, Barnard made history as the youngest-ever Pole sitter in Formula E before he came home P2 to once again stand on the Podium! After just 4 Rounds, Barnard has 3 Podiums and a Pole Position, and he currently sits second in the Standings! When you then consider the fact that his veteran teammate is down in P12, what Taylor Barnard is doing is nothing short of exquisite, and you can’t help but be happy for him!
