In just a few days, the eyes of the sporting world will focus fully on New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles clash for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIX! Now, let’s start with the back-to-back Champions!
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs enter Super Bowl 59 looking to make history! The Kansas City Chiefs had a very strong Regular Season, going 15-2 to take both the AFC West Title and the Number 1 seed! During the Playoffs, Kansas City were able to edge past Houston in the Divisional Round and Buffalo in the AFC Championship to book yet another Super Bowl appearance! It’s worth mentioning that KC are 4-2 when it comes to playing in the big game, and The Chiefs are yet to lose to an NFC team all season long! If Kansas City win on Sunday, they will become the first team in NFL history to win 3-straight Super Bowl's, so history potentially awaits for Patrick Mahomes and company!
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to get some revenge for Super Bowl 57! The Philadelphia Eagles did really well to take the NFC East Title with a record of 14-3, and during the Playoffs, Philadelphia have managed to beat Green Bay, the LA Rams (in what was a really tricky snow game) before they blew the Washington Commanders out of the park to win the NFC Championship! It’s also worth mentioning that The Eagles are 1-3 in the big game, and they also haven’t lost to a single AFC team in the 2024 NFL Season! If Philadelphia were to win on Sunday, it would be their first Super Bowl victory since 2018 (when they beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots), and they would definitely be remembered forever!
My Super Bowl 59 Prediction
The Philadelphia Eagles have fought hard after a difficult 2023 to make it back to the Super Bowl whilst the Kansas City Chiefs have once again proven why they’re the best team in the land! However, this is a one-game shootout meaning Philly have just as much of a chance of winning as KC do! Patrick Mahomes beat Jalen Hurts in Super Bowl 57, The Chiefs beat The Eagles in Super Bowl 57, and honestly, I expect them to win again which is why I have the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX and make history as the first-ever back-to-back-to-back winners!
