At the end of 2023, I uploaded an article called “Predicting Every WWE Superstars’ 2024 in 3 Words or Less”, it was pretty fun to do at the time, and it’s even better going back and seeing what I put after a great 2024! Now though, it’s time to React to those Predictions, so what I’ve done is I’ve got my 10 Best and 10 Worst Predictions, and I’m going to go through them in order! So, let’s see how it goes!
My 10th-worst Prediction was Iyo Sky would retain her WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania! This simply wasn’t true as Iyo dropped the Title to Bayley so it’s really as simple as that!
My 10th-best Prediction was Trick Williams would win the NXT Championship! This happened not once, but twice so I technically deserve 2 points! On a serious note, this was kind of expected heading into 2024, but I still got it right!
My 9th-worst Prediction was Liv Morgan would wrestle at WrestleMania! The reason I’ve included this one on my list is because Liv had an incredible 2024, better than I or anyone would’ve expected, yet she didn’t appear on the biggest show of the year!
My 9th-best Prediction was Stevie Turner would “break up fights”! This was an incredibly random Prediction, I made it because I didn’t think WWE would do anything with Stevie, and ironically, the role she was given as an Assistant General Manager ultimately gave her the job of breaking this up (so well done me)!
My 8th-worst Prediction was this would be Zoey Stark’s Breakout Year! Zoey Stark had a really good 2023, and I rated her highly in NXT hence why I thought she would continue to grow in 2024! However, Zoey really didn’t do much, she joined Pure Fusion Collective, but yeah, Stark didn’t have the year I was expecting!
My 8th-best Prediction was Lola Vice would unsuccessfully cash-in her NXT Breakout Tournament Contract! This happened, Lola cashed it in to make it a Triple Threat at NXT Vengeance Day, but she failed to capture the Gold (this was very silly)!
My 7th-worst Prediction was Dijak would have a Championship run! This sucks in a way because Dijak is amazing, and he had a terrific match at NXT Stand and Deliver with Oba Femi and Josh Briggs! However, not only did Dijak fail to capture Gold in 2024, but he also got released so this wasn’t good!
My 7th-best Prediction was LA Knight would win the United States Championship! LA Knight had a superb 2023 so expectations were pretty high, and I’m pleased I got it right!
My 6th-worst Prediction was CM Punk would win the Men’s Royal Rumble! Firstly, this was wrong hence why it’s in this list! Secondly, Punk got injured in this match and missed more than half of 2024 as a result, so that’s why it’s so high up on this list!
My 6th-best Prediction was Becky Lynch would face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40! I was very confident about this, it made the most sense to me out of all of Rhea’s potential challengers, and these two did kick off WrestleMania so a point for me!
My 5th-worst Prediction was Bobby Lashley would win the United States Championship! I don’t know why I thought this, but I’m not even sure Bobby got close to winning a Championship this year, and then he left the company so this was bad!
My 5th-best Prediction was Tiffany Stratton would become a Main Roster star! This was 100% true, Tiffany had a great debut showing in the Royal Rumble, she was super over in Australia at Elimination Chamber, and she became Miss Money in the Bank! Yes!
My 4th-worst Prediction was Damian Priest wouldn’t cash in! I don’t think this was a terrible theory at the time because Damian had consistently had something go wrong before he went to cash in! However, Priest did cash in, and at WrestleMania of all places, like one of the best cash-ins ever!
My 4th-best Prediction was Gunther would end the year as Champion! What I like about this Prediction is I didn’t specify which Title, and despite Gunther losing his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, he was able to claim the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam hence why this is correct!
My third-worst Prediction was Von Wagner would win the NXT North American Championship! I was so hyped up for Von Wagner, he’d proven so many people (including myself) wrong in 2023, but it just didn’t happen in 2024, with Von getting released in April! Yeah, I wasn’t impressed when I saw this one back!
My third-best Prediction was Andre Chase would lose Chase University! Funnily enough, Chase lost the University twice, I mean he was saved the first time by a “Ladies of Chase U” Calendar, but still, he lost it again at the end of the year after losing to Ridge Holland! Unfortunately, this is one of those Predictions I wish I got wrong!
My second-worst Prediction was Cody Rhodes wouldn’t beat Roman Reigns! Now, this was a combined Prediction as I also said that Roman would beat Cody, and that’s kind of funny because it obviously didn’t happen, but the match itself was my Match of the Year, mainly because of how Reigns lost the Title so that only makes this Prediction worse!
My second-best Prediction was Ava would be appointed as the NXT General Manager! I was so pleased with myself when I saw this Prediction, I’m not sure how I called this, but I did and that’s pretty cool!
My worst Prediction of 2024 was Santos Escobar would be 2024’s Number 1 Heel! Just why? I thought Santos Escobar was going to have a terrific year, and minus him competing at WrestleMania, it’s not been his year, so this is really bad, even for me!
My best Prediction of 2024 was Nia Jax would prove people wrong! Not only did Nia do that, but she had one of the best years of any Female in WWE, becoming Queen of the Ring in May before she won the WWE Women’s Championship at Summerslam! I’m happy for Queen Nia, she deserves it!
