NXT Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer VS Jaida Parker

NXT kicked off this week with Stephanie Vaquer’s first Championship defense of the night as Jaida Parker challenged La Primera for the NXT Women’s Championship! This was a competitive bout as both women went at it, with Jaida getting in plenty of offense as she looked at times to have Stephanie in trouble! However, Jordynne Grace decided to jump onto the apron and distract Miss Parker, allowing Vaquer to sneak away with the roll-up win! After the match, Fatal Influence arrived and attacked Stephanie Vaquer, trying to get as much of an advantage as possible heading into the Main Event! Overall, I thought this match was decent, but it didn’t need Jordynne Grace’s interference!

Hank and Tank VS Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, Lexis King VS Je’Von Evans: NXT Heritage Cup
Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans were once again going back-and-forth verbally backstage before Meta-Four, Chemical X, and Sol Ruca and Zaria all got into an argument as to which team’s going to become the next TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions! Ricky Saints then had a sit-down interview with Vic Joseph where he talked about how his confidence has always been his biggest strength, but it’s also led to a massive target on his back! This brought in Shawn Spears who tried to use his backwards motivation tactics, but Ricky said he’s more interested in taking the NXT North American Championship! The rest of The Culling then showed up to (I assume) strike fear into Saints before Wes Lee watched on unimpressed! Ethan Page then got physical with Kale Dixon which bothered Andre Chase (setting up a match for later) before we finally returned to in-ring action as Hank and Tank took on Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe! This was a good match I thought, Hank and Tank were rolling once again as they got all their moves in, and their extreme tactic seemed to work too as Hank delivered a crazy dive which saw him fly onto the announce table! However, the numbers game eventually caught up to the good guys as Wes Lee’s distraction allowed Tyson and Tyriek to take advantage and hit their Tag Team finisher to get the win!

Ava wasn’t convinced as to whether Stephanie Vaquer should be defending her NXT Women’s North American Championship in the Main Event after the battles she’d already faced, but Vaquer was adamant that she was good to go! Nathan Frazer was then seemingly annoyed with Axiom for not inviting him to SmackDown in Spain a couple of weeks ago before Lexis King put his NXT Heritage Cup on the line against Je’Von Evans! This was a decent match, Je’Von Evans is so good that he’s always going to be entertaining to watch, and Lexis King is simply good in his role! Evans was the better performer here, on a normal day he would’ve won here, but the problem for Je’Von is a pissed off Oba Femi stormed in, delivering a Fall From Grace onto the ring apron (which is nasty) as The Young O.G. was ultimately counted out! After the match, Darkstate appeared yet again as Oba and Je’Von started to brawl, only for Trick Williams to arrive and “accidentally” nail Evans with a Trick Shot!

Chemical X VS Meta-Four, Andre Chase VS Ethan Page
It was then time to go straight into the next match as Chemical X’s Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley took on Meta-Four! This was solid, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson are a pretty established Tag Team by now, and Gigi and Tatum are starting to build some chemistry together! Sol Ruca and Zaria were also watching on in the entrance ramp throughout the entire match, and amazingly, it was Dolin and Paxley that managed to score the win with a nice duo finisher!

Tony D’Angelo had an interesting conversation with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo which makes me think that The Underboss is planning something before the Motor City Machine Guns gave some good advice to Hank and Tank! A dishevelled Andre Chase then made his way down to the ring next as he was set to go one-on-one with Ethan Page! Ricky Saints joined commentary for this one as he talked about his history with Ethan Page, but I found the more interesting part of this match to be around Andre Chase as it looked like he was finally starting to get things rolling again! However, Page managed to reverse his attempts at the Chase U stomps before All Ego dropped Mr. Chase with the neckbreaker to get the win! After the match, Ricky Saints went to speak to Ethan Page, but he was attacked from behind by The Culling!
Grade: C+
NXT Women’s North American Championship: Stephanie Vaquer VS Fallon Henley

After Trick Williams stated that Darkstate isn’t his problem, it was time for the Main Event as Stephanie Vaquer put her NXT Women’s North American Championship against the former Champion, Fallon Henley! Stephanie was banged up from her match earlier in the night, and Fallon exploited that, knowing she had a great opportunity to recapture her Title. Vaquer was also fighting off the rest of Fatal Influence as both Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx tried to interfere as much as possible, but despite all of this, The Dark Angel was able to fight back and nail Henley with the SVD to get the win and successfully retain both of her Titles in the same night! After the match, Fatal Influence again tried to attack Stephanie Vaquer, but Jordynne Grace made the save, only for Jaida Parker to start a brawl with Grace that The Juggernaut eventually won! Once again, it looks like we’re headed for a multi-person match at NXT Stand and Deliver!
