Giulia Starts the Show, Je’Von Evans VS Wes Lee
NXT kicked off this week with Giulia as the Women’s Iron Survivor talked about how it’s her destiny to become the new NXT Women’s Champion! Roxanne Perez then arrived to say that Giulia was lucky to win at Deadline and that she’ll once again lose to The Prodigy at New Year's Evil! Cora Jade then arrived to show that she’d attacked Stephanie Vaquer before the 2 Mean Girls of NXT attacked the Women’s Iron Survivor, only for Kelani Jordan to arrive and make the save! This was all fine!

Tony D’Angelo felt sorry for Ethan Page, so he offered him a shot at the NXT North American Championship before Lexis King asked Charlie Dempsey for another shot at the NXT Heritage Cup! OTM then confronted the No Quarter Catch Crew in their dojo before the first match saw Wes Lee collide with Je’Von Evans! I thought this was a really good match, both of these guys are great, and are having terrific years to boot! This was obviously a very fast-paced matchup, and there were some really good moves, particularly the dives to the outside! Surprisingly, Je’Von managed to kick out of the Kardiak Kick before Evans delivered a fantastic corkscrew senton to The Kardiak Kid to score the victory! Nicely done!

Hank and Tank VS Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, Oba Femi Calls Out Trick Williams
Axiom and Nathan Frazer were being very kind to each other backstage when they both said they were going to talk to Ava to make things right! Josh Briggs then had a video talking about his new Tag Team partner Yoshiki Inamura before Kelani Jordan made it clear that she fully believes that her resume is better than Cora Jade’s! Zaria and Sol Ruca were then chatting backstage as Meta-Four got all cocky on them before it was time for some Tag Team action as Hank and Tank took on Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe! This was alright, you know how I feel about Hank and Tank by now, and all four men are decently agile given how big they are! Ultimately, it was Hank and Tank who picked up the victory, but more importantly, after the match, Tyson shook their hands whilst Tyriek did not!
Grade: C+
Oba Femi was out next to celebrate his Iron Survivor Challenge win before he said that it’s time to truly see who the better man is between him and Trick Williams! This is when Trick Williams arrived to try and say some things, but Eddy Thorpe then decided to show up and blame Oba for his attack! Femi didn’t even want to waste his time on Thorpe which is when Williams went off at Oba for saying that the only reason he’s NXT Champion is because The Ruler let him! Oba then walked off as Eddy Thorpe demanded an NXT Championship Match which Trick Willy decided to accept before he dropped Thorpe with a right hand! Honestly, there’s no need for Eddy Thorpe to be involved in this, but at least the stuff between Trick and Oba was good!

Fatal Influence VS Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley, Tony D’Angelo VS Ethan Page: NXT North American Championship
It was then time for another Tag Team Match as Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley teamed up to take on Fatal Influence! This wasn’t the best wrestling match, it wasn’t bad, but it felt very missable! Also, it was really short, and just ended with Jacy Jayne getting the win after Fallon Henley got involved from the outside! However, the post-match angle is worth talking about as Shotzi made her return after being out for over a year to even the odds against Fallon, Jacy, and Jazmyn Nyx! It’s great that Shotzi’s back, the injury she suffered last year was horrible, and I think having her on NXT rather than the Main Roster is definitely the right move!
Grade: C+ (Because of Shotzi)
Axiom and Nathan Frazer found each in the back again as Axiom told Nathan that he’s got himself a match with Oba Femi next week to make up for what happened at Deadline! However, this is very bad as Frazer told his partner that he’s also booked them in an NXT Tag Team Championship Match next week meaning Axiom will now have to pull double duty! These guys never learn, and that’s why they’re the Best in the World! The NXT North American Championship was then on the line as Tony D’Angelo went one-on-one with Ethan Page! This match was all focused around Ethan Page’s mentality at the moment which is that he’s simply lost his edge and belief! He was in control of D’Angelo here, he outwrestled The Don, but his lack of an actual 3 count meant the doubt kept increasing to the point where Tony D dropped All Ego with a Spinebuster to get the win and retain his North American Title! Ethan Page has to go up to the Main Roster now, there’s simply no other option!
Grade: B-
Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade VS Giulia and Kelani Jordan
After Charlie Dempsey offered Lexis King another shot at the NXT Heritage Cup and Ethan Page continued to doubt himself, it was Main Event time as Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade took on the pairing of Giulia and Kelani Jordan! This was the best Tag Team match of the night, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade are such a good pairing, and we know how good Giulia and Kelani Jordan can be inside the squared circle! Things also broke down pretty easily, with NXT’s Mean Girls refusing to listen to the referee before plenty of distractions allowed The Prodigy to drop Lani with a Pop Rox on the outside! After this, Roxanne and Giulia brawled to the back as Cora took advantage and dropped Jordan with Jaded to score her first win in nearly a year! After the match, however, it wasn’t Jade who was standing tall as she got taken out by Stephanie Vaquer who was enacting some revenge! I can see these two facing off at NXT New Year’s Evil!
