Lola Vice VS Jaida Parker: Hardcore Match

Credit: WWE

A special edition of NXT taking place in the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania kicked off with Lola Vice and Jaida Parker going to war in a Hardcore Match! This was definetly extreme as a lot of weapons were used in what was a very physical match! Ladders, chairs, kendo sticks, and trash cans were all used, and I thought both women did quite well! I mean, Jaida used a brick at one point to try and take Lola out for good, but Vice showed enough resilience to kick out! However, Miss Parker then nailed Vice with the Hypnotic to score a pretty important win for her career!

Je’Von Evans VS Wes Lee, Ava Makes an Announcement

Credit: WWE

Ethan Page and Ridge Holland cut a promo in front of the Rocky statue before Kelani Jordan got some advice from Rob Van Dam! When Kelani left, RVD got absolutely wrecked with a steel chair by Wes Lee before Tony D’Angelo was issued a challenge by Nunzio! Wes Lee then made his way down to the ring as it was time for The Kardiak Kid to go one-on-one with Je’Von Evans! This was so good, if you’re going to watch one thing from this show, I’d suggest it be this! We all know how good Wes Lee is, but it feels like he’s very much back to his best recently, and Je’Von Evans is just a joy to watch! The speed and agility on display here was insane, and some of the cutters that Je’Von delivered were just ridiculous! Evans kicked out of the Kardiak Kick which never happens, and Lee very much used his brain to get out of dodge when he was in trouble. However, Rob Van Dam then arrived and distracted Wes which allowed Je’Von Evans to hit a crazy Cutter followed by an even more insane Frog Splash to get the victory! Once again, these guys are amazing!

Ava told Eddy Thorpe she would speak to him later as she had some news to address. The NXT General Manager talked about how the Philadelphia crowd is the most hardcore in all of Wrestling before Ava also announced that on December 7th, Minneapolis, Minnesota will host NXT Deadline! Mr. Stone then decided to throw a few shots at the Philly crowd which made me laugh before the lights went off, only for them to turn back on to see Ryhno appear and give a massive Gore to Stone! There wasn’t much to this, but it was fun, and I really liked Deadline so I’m glad that’s back!

Trick Williams and Bubba Rey Dudley VS Ethan Page and Ridge Holland, Tony D’Angelo VS Nunzio: NXT North American Championship

Credit: WWE

Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, and ZARIA all set their sights on winning in the show’s Main Event before Meta-Four walked in to talk some trash! Trick Williams was then out next as he teamed up with Bubba Rey Dudley to take on the pairing of Ethan Page and Ridge Holland! This match surprised me a lot as I expected it to be very much a “house show-esque” match with Bubba Rey running wild with the hot tag! However, what actually happened is Dudley was in the ring quite a lot, and amazingly, the match ended with Ridge Holland pinning the NXT Champion with a roll-up! I didn’t see that coming! The aftermath though was very different as Bubba Rey and Trick beat up Ethan Page and sent All Ego crashing through a table with the help of D-Von Dudley!

Karmen Petrovic and Ashante “Thee” Adonis had another tense interaction backstage before Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence talked about how they’re going to prove why they are at the top of the NXT Women’s Division! The NXT North American Championship was then on the line in a Family affair as Tony D’Angelo clashed with Nunzio! This was very much done because of the show being held in the famous ECW Arena, but to be honest, this was a bit pointless and didn’t really add to anything. Nunzio hit a few moves in the opening couple of minutes before men grabbed crowbars, only for Tony D to hit his Spinebuster for the victory. After the match, all 6 people involved in the contest embraced!

Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence VS Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, ZARIA, and Jordynne Grace

Credit: WWE

After a good segment with Mr. Regal and No Quarter Catch Crew as well as a Nikkita Lyons video and Ava telling Axiom and Nathan Frazer her plans for the NXT Tag Team Champions, it was Main Event time as Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence teamed up to take on Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, ZARIA, and Jordynne Grace! The NXT Women’s Division has been the Best Women’s Division for a while now, and it’s currently super stacked! Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade are really good, Fatal Influence always look cool, and the good guy team here was like the Avengers! In terms of teamwork, it was Roxanne and Cora that worked the best, but they could only do so much as Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer also work well together whilst ZARIA and Jordynne Grace are just far too powerful! Interestingly, ZARIA accidentally took out Grace with a Spear, but she then pinned the NXT Women’s Champion meaning The Prodigy has now been pinned twice in the space of two weeks! That was another thing on this show I didn’t see coming, but NXT is clearly building a bit of a story right now!
