Jacy Jayne VS Stephanie Vaquer

NXT kicked off this week with in-ring action as Stephanie Vaquer looked to go through Jacy Jayne! I thought this was a good match, it started the show off well, and I think it was smart to have a match between two performers that have been going for a while now! I thought both Stephanie and Jacy looked good, they hit their moves well, and yeah, I enjoyed it! However, there was one bit that was very dumb as Jazmyn Nyx got into the ring and broke up a pinfall, but for some reason, the referee decided against calling for the disqualification before Vaquer just won anyway with the SVB! There was no need for Nyx to get involved here!

Lexis King Promo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo VS Ridge Holland, Chemical X VS Sol Ruca and Zaria

Meta-Four got a talking to from Zaria about their failure to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships before Tatum Paxley tried to calm everyone down, but this only made Zaria madder! Oba Femi then confirmed that he hasn’t spoken to Trick Williams and quite frankly, he doesn’t owe Trick Williams anything before Lexis King came out to address his recent actions! The NXT Heritage Cup Champion talked about how everyone wants him to change, but in the end, he has to stay true to himself and that’s to be like his Father because that’s the way to win! Lexis also said that with him as Champion, the Heritage Cup will now be defended under normal rules which is definitely interesting, and then, in a genuinely shocking moment, Fandango’s music hit as the former NXT Tag Team Champion arrived to a huge pop! Dango, now known as JDC, said he was on business for The System in TNA, and that next week, it will be him VS Lexis King for the NXT Heritage Cup! This was a very cool moment, it was very unexpected, and I missed Fandango’s entrance music!

Tony D’Angelo was being hyped up by his Family for appearing in a new TV show before Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo headed down to the ring to take on Ridge Holland! Stacks went after Ridge before the bell, trying to give himself an advantage against the larger Superstar, but it didn’t really work out too well for him as Holland was too powerful! Luca Crusifino tried to cause a distraction which opened the door for Izzi Dame to get involved again, except this time, Ridge caught her before Holland nailed Stacks Lorenzo with the Redeemer to get the win!

Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura were once again annoyed at Axiom and Nathan Frazer for ducking their NXT Tag Team Championships challenge before Chemical X took on the duo of Sol Ruca and Zaria! This was a decent match again, I rate Sol Ruca highly, and Zaria is also a bit of a beast! I also like Tatum Paxley so I’m always glad to see her on the show whilst Gigi Dolin did alright. Whilst the teamwork maybe wasn’t always the smoothest, Zaria was able to deliver a wicked Z5 before Ruca nailed Gigi with the Sol Snatcher to get the win! Them VS Meta-Four should be good!

NXT Women’s Championship Summit, Kelani Jordan VS Karmen Petrovic

Trick Williams said he will make it clear tonight why he should be the one getting the shot at the NXT Championship at NXT Vengeance Day before we were scheduled to have an NXT Women’s Championship Summit! However, Roxanne Perez stopped the introduction of Giulia to bask in her glory of setting the record for the most time in a single Women’s Royal Rumble Match, and this just led to Bayley going off at Roxanne about how Perez can’t cope when she doesn’t have a Championship! Roxy then said that she doesn’t need friends and maybe she’ll just drop the NXT Women’s Title so Cora Jade can finally win something (which is a crazy line) before Giulia finally came out to say that she’ll beat them both at Vengeance Day! This is when Charlotte Flair’s music hit as the winner of the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble came to look at potential options for WrestleMania 41, only for Cora Jade to hijack the segment and swing at everyone (including Roxy) with her kendo stick! A lot happened here, and I thought it went smoothly.

Ava was going to suspend Je’Von Evans, but Ethan Page had a “better idea” of the two having a match at Vengeance Day! Josh Briggs then got Hank and Tank to agree to a Tag Team match next week before Ridge Holland called his shot at the NXT North American Championship! Izzi Dame suggested that the match should take place inside of a Steel Cage, and Tony D’Angelo was happy to accept! Kelani Jordan’s was then out next as she was ready to go one-on-one with Karmen Petrovic! Unfortunately, this just didn’t click for me, I don’t know what it was, but the chemistry just wasn’t there. Jaida Parker was also at ringside to do some commentary, but the one interesting thing about this was Miss Parker clearly got under the skin of Lani who delivered a pair of Split-Legged Moonsaults before she locked in a submission move to get the win! Now, that’s okay, that’s a decent finish, but for some stupid reason, the referee reversed his decision and gave the win to Petrovic, and that’s just dumb!

Oba Femi and Trick Williams VS A-Town Down Under

After Stephanie Vaquer cut a promo, Bayley demanded a match with Cora Jade, and Ava booked Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in a Triple Threat with Hank and Tank and No Quarter Catch Crew, it was Main Event time as Oba Femi and Trick Williams were forced to team up to take on A-Town Down Under! The story of this match was that Austin Theory and Grayson Waller can work well as a Tag Team whilst Trick and Oba kept tagging themselves in! This created issues, and it especially made Femi really mad, but this was all playing into ATDU’s hands as Theory was able to take out the NXT Champion before Eddy Thorpe showed up and whacked Williams in the back with a leather strap, opening the door for Waller to get the win with the rolling flatliner! After the match, Oba Femi walked off in anger as Thorpe continued to beat down Trick to close the show! I guess Eddy Thorpe is Trick’s “Roadblock”!
