Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Last Chance Qualifying Match: Cora Jade VS Jaida Parker VS Kelani Jordan VS Wren Sinclair
NXT kicked off this week with a Last Chance Qualifying Match as Cora Jade, Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Wren Sinclair all looked to Qualify for the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge! I thought this match was alright, it was a little bit too frantic at times, but I thought they all did well enough! I expected one of Cora Jade or Kelani Jordan to win simply on the basis that Jaida Parker was involved in a feud with Lola Vice! Now, I was partly as Lola arrived to start a brawl with Jaida, but an accidental fist from Vice to Wren Sinclair resulted in Wren falling on top of Jade and picking up the victory to send herself to Deadline! I did not expect this one bit, but I thought it was really good!
Grade: B- (Mainly down to the ending)
NXT Tag Team Championships Number 1 Contender’s Battle Royal, Eric Bischoff Arrives, Karmen Petrovic VS Nikkita Lyons
After Eddy Thorpe and Lexis King had a disagreement backstage, Jaida Parker was back in the ring as she called out Lola Vice to face her in an NXT Underground Match right now! Ava wasn’t going to let this happen, but the NXT General Manager did book the contest for Saturday instead before Vice arrived and got dropped by Miss Parker! Karmen Petrovic then seemed pretty happy when she received some apology flowers from Ashante “Thee” Adonis before Axiom and Nathan Frazer were once again falling out! It was then time for FRAXIOM to watch a Battle Royal to see who their new contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championships were going to be! What I liked about this Battle Royal is instead of the usual each team gets eliminated when one person goes out, this time, the other could stay in! This meant that even though Luca Crusifino was out early, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo could still compete! Unfortunately for The D’Angelo Family, they were out first before Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe followed! Josh Briggs’ team was then out next, followed by The Gallus Boys before we were left with 3 in the form of Tank Ledger (Hank and Tank), Myles Borne (No Quarter Catch Crew), and Lucien Price (OTM)! I actually thought all 3 men did well here, and the crowd were well behind Tank getting the victory. However, in a great sequence, Borne managed to eliminate both Ledger and Price in super quick fashion to pick up the win and cap off what had been a terrific night for the NQCC!

Eric Bischoff was out next to talk about his Wrestling career before he welcomed out both Trick Williams and Ridge Holland! The two men that will face each other for the NXT Championship on Saturday through different shots at each other, with Trick’s line about Ridge being “boring” landing the best! A brawl then broke out between the two men and it resulted in Williams being stretched out of the arena and into an ambulance after Holland delivered a Redeemer onto the announce table! There really wasn't much to the promo exchange, but the ending was alright!
Grade: C+
We then headed straight into the next match as Karmen Petrovic looked to take her anger out on Nikkita Lyons! This was totally fine, it wasn’t anything special, but it was slightly better than the early NXT 2.0 Era of women’s matches! Nikkita was probably too strong for Karmen here, but Ashante “Thee” Adonis arrived and took the bullet for his “crush”, allowing Petrovic to score the win with a strong kick!
Grade: C
Gigi Dolin VS Izzi Dame, Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Last Chance Qualifying Match: Axiom VS Cedric Alexander VS Lexis King VS Eddy Thorpe
Shawn Spears was talking with his new recruit Nico Vance before he seemed very interested in potentially adding Gigi Dolin to his group! No Quarter Catch Crew were then celebrating their great evening before it was time for Gigi Dolin to make her in-ring return in a one-on-one match against Izzi Dame! This was another basic match, I don’t think there was anything wrong with it, but it’s not like much happened either! I like Izzi Dame, I’m not really sure why she’s not being featured anymore, but this was all about Gigi as she picked up the win with the Gigi Driver! Interestingly, Shawn Spears watched on!
Grade: C
X-Pac praised Je’Von Evans in a backstage interview before it was time for the Main Event Match of the night as Axiom, Cedric Alexander, Lexis King, and Eddy Thorpe all fought to earn the final spot in this year’s Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge! This was the best match of the night in-ring wise, I thought all 4 men brought it, especially Axiom and Cedric Alexander who both came close to winning after delivering their finishers! Honestly, though, the best part about all of this was Ethan Page on commentary who was absolutely hilarious with Booker T, especially his line about Je’Von Evans sitting in the crowd! I expected Axiom to win here, it made the most sense for him to do that, but ultimately, it was the underdog who scored the victory in the form of Eddy Thorpe! This was a genuine surprise!
Grade: B-
Roxanne Perez Addresses the NXT Women’s Division
Mr. Stone and Stevie Turner were getting a lot of complaints from different talent before Roxanne Perez headed down to the ring to address the NXT Women’s Division! Roxanne talked about how she’s better than everyone else, and whilst they’re a lot of good contenders for who could win the Iron Survivor Challenge on Saturday, it doesn’t really mean much when they’re just going to lose to The Prodigy anyway! This is when all of the women that are competing in the Iron Survivor Challenge appeared as a brawl broke out with Wren Sinclair laying out the NXT Women’s Champion! All of this was fine, what Roxanne said made sense, and I think their match on Saturday could be great! Before the show could end, though, cameras headed to the back to find Eddy Thorpe laid out on the floor, which is certainly an interesting development!
