(2-5) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Philadelphia Eagles (6-0)
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their bye week as the only unbeaten team left in the league. The Eagles are top of the NFC East, but the crazy thing is a loss could see them drop down to second which would be crazy. As for Pittsburgh, they suffered their fifth loss of the season last week in Miami (16-10). They are currently bottom of the AFC North, level on wins with the Cleveland Browns. Overall, I am going with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have looked like a team that are good at getting wins and a loss here would be a disappointing way to end their unbeaten run. What I would say is the Steelers have beat Burrow and Brady this year, so you never know.
(4-2) Tennessee Titans @ Houston Texans (1-4-1)
The Houston Texans suffered their 4th loss of the season last week in Las Vegas. It’s not all bad though as they managed to score 20+ points for the fourth time this year which is actually pretty good. The Texans currently sit bottom of the AFC South. As for Tennessee, they beat division rivals the Indianapolis Colts 19-10 last week meaning they come into this game on the back of 4 straight victories. They currently sit top of the AFC South. Overall, I am picking the Titans. Like I’ve said before, when the Titans are on a role, they are so hard to stop. They are nowhere near being called the best football team in the league, but they should definitely be called one of the best teams in the league when it comes to winning games.
(3-4) Washington Commanders @ Indianapolis Colts (3-3-1)
The Indianapolis Colts lost in an incredibly important game in Tennessee last week (19-10). Since then, the Colts have confirmed that veteran Quarterback Matt Ryan will no longer start this season and he will be replaced by Sam Ehlinger. The Colts need him to be good because they currently sit second in the AFC South, a few wins behind Tennessee due to their head-to-head record. As for Washington, they managed to beat Green Bay last week to keep their season alive. They are currently bottom of the NFC East and the craziest part is that they have the same record as the team top of the NFC South! Overall, I am going with the Commanders. The Commanders have got some momentum behind them and Ehlinger at QB is a complete unknown. That’s why I see Washington moving back to .500.
(3-4) San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams (3-3)
The Los Angeles Rams come into Week 8 off the back of a bye. In that bye week, they saw two of their divisional rivals win and the other one lose. They currently sit second in the NFC West as a result of that. As for San Francisco, they got destroyed at home by the Kansas City Chiefs (44-23) and they now find themselves without a win since Week 5. They currently sit third in the NFC West. Overall, I am going with the 49ers. This Niners need to win this game and they have a pretty good track record against the Rams. I expect Jimmy G to bounce back in the stadium that he arguably had his best ever performance in (Week 18, 2021) and a loss here could prove pivotal for the Rams later down the line.
(6-1) New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks (4-3)
Who would’ve thought at the start of the season that the only game in week 8 that would see two winning sides face off was between the Seahawks and Giants. Not many if at all any. The Seahawks went to LA last week and beat the Chargers by 2 scores meaning they sit top of the NFC West. As for New York, they managed to earn their fourth successive victory by going to Jacksonville and beating the Jags 23-17. They currently sit second in the NFC East. Overall, I am going with the Seattle Seahawks. I think the Giants are the better team right now and I could definitely see them winning this one. They are 3-0 on the road this year as well but I’ve got faith in Geno Smith right now. My Dad would have laughed if I’d said that in preseason.
(3-4) Green Bay Packers @ Buffalo Bills (5-1)
The Buffalo Bills sat through the bye week knowing that when they return, they were still going to be the number 1 side in the AFC. They currently sit top of the AFC East but that might not be the case by the time they start this game on Sunday night. As for Green Bay, their season is crumbling. They were the team I predicted to become NFC Champions this year but at this rate, they aren’t even going to make the playoffs. 3 defeats in a row means they sit second in the NFC North. Overall, I am going with the Bills. Before the start of the season, this was going to be a game that would test the Bills and more importantly Josh Allen. Now, this is a game I think Buffalo could run riot in. Rodgers and the Packers just don’t have an answer right now.
(4-3) Cincinnati Bengals @ Cleveland Browns (2-5)
The Cleveland Browns suffered their fourth successive loss last week in Baltimore (23-20). They currently sit third in the AFC North. As for Cincinatti, they stuffed the Atlanta Falcons 35-17. Their 2-game winning streak means they sit second in the AFC North. Overall, I am going with the Bengals. I’m pretty sure I said this last week, but I’ll repeat it anyway. Joe Burrow looks great right now and I think the Bengals are going to go on a big winning run. Also, it looks like by the time Deshaun Watson returns, he isn’t going to be fighting for a spot in the playoffs like he might have hoped.
