NFL Week 7 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(2-4) Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens (3-3)

Before the season started, I predicted that the Baltimore Ravens were going to be the number 1 seed in the AFC. When they lost to the New York Giants last week, I started to realise that that prediction is going to end up being wrong. For whatever reason, they are incredibly inconsistent. They still sit first in the AFC North though. As for Cleveland, they suffered their third straight defeat last week when they were thrashed, at home, by the New England Patriots (38-15). The Browns currently find themselves 3rd in the AFC North. Overall, I am picking the Ravens in this one. Both teams really should have a better record than what they’ve got but I definitely think that Baltimore has the better overall squad. Also, I think Cleveland’s struggles may continue for a while longer yet.

(4-2) New York Jets @ Denver Broncos (2-4)

What is going on in Denver? When they signed Russell Wilson, I thought for sure they were going to become a great football team but so far, it just hasn’t happened. After a loss against division rivals the Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos sit in third place in the AFC West. As for New York, their Fairytale run continues as they managed to go to Green Bay and beat the Packers 27-10! The 4-2 Jets now find themselves sitting second in the AFC East. Overall, I am going with the Jets. Before the season, I would have picked the Broncos to win this game in about 2 seconds but now, I can’t see it. Denver aren’t playing very good football whilst the Jets are. Also, the Broncos have no confidence whilst the Jets are arguably one of the most confident teams in the entire league.

(1-3-1) Houston Texans @ Las Vegas Raiders (1-4)

The Las Vegas Raiders’ season really hasn’t gone to plan. However, they have just come off of their bye and are looking to start a fresh. They are currently bottom of the AFC West, let’s see how high they can climb up through the rest of the season. As for Houston, they too had a bye week and are also looking to try and win a few more games. They currently sit bottom of the AFC South. Overall, I am going with the Raiders. Even though both teams only have 1 win on the board, the difference in quality is gargantuan. This should be the start of a big winning streak for Las Vegas.

(3-3) Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)

The Los Angeles Chargers earnt their 3rd successive victory last weekend at home to the Denver Broncos. They currently sit second in the AFC West, behind Kansas due to the result between the two sides earlier on in the season. As for Seattle, their surprise story continues as they managed to beat division rivals the Arizona Cardinals last weekend (19-9). Seattle are currently sitting in 3rd spot in the NFC West, level with both the Rams and the 49ers. Overall, I am picking the LA Chargers to win this game. I’ve actually been impressed with both teams' seasons’ so far, particularly Seattle’s, but I still think the Chargers are the better side. Should be a fun one though.

(4-2) Kansas City Chiefs @ San Francisco 49ers (3-3)

The San Francisco 49ers are an incredibly frustrating football team. After Week 4 and 5, things were looking great in the Bay area, but they just didn’t show up against the Falcons last week. Despite this, they are still top of the NFC West, just. As for Kansas, they also last week in a game that could become significant down the line. A 24-20 loss at home to Buffalo could have a major impact on which team gets the number 1 seed in the AFC. That could also determine who plays at home in the conference championship game (if they both get there). They too are top of their division (AFC West). Overall, I am going with the Kansas City Chiefs. Which team is better? The Chiefs. Which team is more consistent? Definitely the Chiefs. Sometimes, it’s that simple.

(2-4) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Miami Dolphins (3-3)

The Miami Dolphins hosted the Minnesota Vikings last week and they ended up losing against the Minnesota Vikings 24-16. The Dolphins currently sit third in the AFC East. As for Pittsburgh, they somehow managed to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Even though we should (and we did) massively bury the Bucs for this result, you have to give the Steelers a lot of credit. They currently sit bottom of the AFC North, just 1 win off first. Overall, I am going with the Miami Dolphins. With Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins are 3-0. Without him, they are 0-3. As it stands, Tua is meant to be playing this weekend. If that happens, I fully expect the Dolphins to win this game.

(2-4) Chicago Bears @ New England Patriots (3-3)

Monday Night Football sees the New England Patriots host the Chicago Bears. The Patriots are starting to find some form, that was showcased in their last match as they went to Cleveland and stuffed the Browns. They are still bottom of the AFC East but that is only because the division is so competitive. As for Chicago, they suffered a very frustrating loss at home to the Washington Commanders (12-7). They sit third in the NFC North. Overall, I am going with the Pats to win this one. The Patriots are winning games and winning them well. The Bears are losing games and losing them poorly.
