NFL Week 6 Preview and Predictions: Part 1

(1-4) Washington Commanders @ Chicago Bears (2-3)

Thursday Night Football sees the Chicago Bears take on the Washington Commanders. The Bears lost 29-22 in Minnesota but that wasn’t too bad because they were 21-3 down. Chicago are currently sitting third in their division. As for Washington, they also lost but they were at home against the Tennessee Titans. The Commanders came close to beating the Titans, but Carson Wentz messed it up. The QB threw a pick on the line of the endzone with less than 10 seconds to go. The Commanders sit bottom of the NFC East. Overall, I am picking the Chicago Bears to win. They have home field advantage which should count. Also, if the Bears do win, they must be one of the worst teams to ever have a .500 record.

(3-2) San Francisco 49ers @ Atlanta Falcons (2-3)

The Atlanta Falcons will feel hard done by after a shocking call from the officials which ultimately allowed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to see out the game. The Falcons are 3rd in the NFC South. As for San Francisco, they look good right now. After breezing past the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, they comfortably beat the Panthers in Carolina by a score of 37-15. The win means the 49ers are top of the NFC West and are also the only team in the division to win 3 games. Overall, I am going with the 49ers. Right now, as long as they don’t suffer too many key injuries, they could go on a big winning run.

(2-3) New England Patriots @ Cleveland Browns (2-3)

The Cleveland Browns let another game slip away. They lead the Los Angeles Chargers for most of the game but ended up losing by just 2 points (30-28). Coming into Week 6, the Cleveland Browns are 2nd in the AFC North. As for New England, they bounced back in style last week with a 29-0 victory over the Detroit Lions. Despite their struggles, they could find themselves back at .500 with a win in Cleveland. They are currently bottom of the AFC East. Overall, I think the Patriots are going to win. It’s a close one but the Browns have shown numerous times that they just can’t quite get over the line.

(3-2) New York Jets @ Green Bay Packers (3-2)

For the second week in a row, the Green Bay Packers host a side from New York. The difference this time is it’s at Lambeau Field and not Tottenham. The Packers were disappointing against the Giants and they ultimately ended up losing. The Packers are still second in the NFC North. As for the Jets, they absolutely stuffed the Miami Dolphins. They look surprisingly great right now and sit second in the AFC East as a result of it. Overall, I am going with a Green Bay victory. I think it will be a lot closer than what people expected when they first saw the schedule list but the Packers at Lambeau don’t lose.

(2-3) Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts (2-2-1)

The Indianapolis Colts pulled out a big win last week in Denver, but they still aren’t great. A 12-9 win is a start but performances like that aren’t going to carry them to too many wins. The Colts are second in the AFC South. As for Jacksonville, they are an incredibly frustrating team. They have started the season really well but a home loss to the Houston Texans has kind of diminished that. They are now third in the AFC South. Overall, I am picking the Colts. The Jaguars’ momentum has faded and that’s the only reason I can give for a Colts win as they aren’t a particularly good football team (unless they play Kansas).

(4-1) Minnesota Vikings @ Miami Dolphins (3-2)

The Miami Dolphins are starting to drop off. After a great start, they have lost their last 2 games including being thrashed by division rivals the New York Jets. The Dolphins currently sit third in the AFC East. As for Minnesota, their excellent start to the game against the Chicago Bears was enough to see them get their 4th win of the season. The Vikings are currently top of the NFC North. Overall, I think the Minnesota Vikings will win this game. It has potential to be an incredibly tight game, but I just think that the Vikings have the slight edge on their opponents.

(2-3) Cincinati Bengals @ New Orleans Saints (2-3)

The New Orleans Saints pulled out a massively important win last week against the Seattle Seahawks (39-32). The win should put some more confidence into the side and they are now up to second in the NFC South. As for Cincinnati, the fell two points short on Sunday Night Football in Baltimore to halt the momentum that they were starting to build. The Bengals sit third in the AFC North. Overall, I am going with the Bengals to win this one. Both teams are 2-3 but, in my opinion, it’s clear which organisation has the better football team.
