NFL Week 15 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(10-3) Dallas Cowboys @ Jacksonville Jaguars (5-8)

The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled out the big W last week away to the Tennessee Titans (36-22) and the win keeps them within striking distance of the playoffs. As it stands, the Jags sit second in the AFC South and if the season ended today, they would finish as the 10th best team in the AFC which is pretty decent. As for Dallas, they just about got over the line in a 27-23 victory over the Houston Texans. As it stands, the Cowboys sit second in the NFC East and if the season ended today, they would have to settle for the number 5 seed. Overall, I am going with the Cowboys. The Jags need to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive but I can’t see them beating a Cowboys team that have won their last 4 games.

(10-3) Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans (1-11-1)

The Houston Texans suffered their 11th defeat of the season last week but they gave it a good old go against the Dallas Cowboys (23-27). As it stands, the Texans sit bottom of the AFC South and if the season ended today, they would take the number 1 pick in the draft. As for Kansas, they moved into double digits when it comes to victories this season after beating the Denver Broncos 34-28 on the road. As it stands, the Chiefs sit top of the AFC West and if the season ended today, they would take the number 2 seed. Overall, the Chiefs are winning this game. It’s another one of those freaky games that the Texans could lead in, but either way, Mahomes and the Chiefs are coming out on top.

(4-9) Arizona Cardinals @ Denver Broncos (3-10)

The Denver Broncos gave it a good go but they ended up coming short against the Kansas City Chiefs (34-28). As it stands, the Broncos sit bottom of the AFC West and if the season ended today, they would finish as the second worst team in the AFC. As for Arizona, they suffered their third consecutive defeat, this time against the New England Patriots (27-13). As it stands, the Cardinals sit third in the NFC West and if the season ended today, they would finish as the fourth worse team in the NFC. Overall, I am going to go with the Broncos. Both teams have been so disappointing this season, but for me, the Broncos will have enough to win this game. Particually given the fact that Kyler Murray is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

(7-6) New England Patriots @ Las Vegas Raiders (5-8)

The Las Vegas Raiders suffered a 17-16 loss against the Los Angeles Rams last week that has 99% ruined their chances of making the playoffs. As it stands, the Raiders sit third in the AFC West and if the season ended today, the Raiders would be over 2 wins off making the playoffs. As for New England, they picked up a massive victory on the road against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football (27-13). As it stands, the Patriots sit third in the AFC East and if the season ended today, the Pats would just make it into the playoffs as the number 7 seed. Overall, I am going with New England in this one. The Raiders season is basically done whilst the Patriots have everything to play for. Gonna be a close one.

(7-6) Tennessee Titans @ Los Angeles Chargers (7-6)

The Los Angeles Chargers came out of Week 14 with a critical victory over the Miami Dolphins (23-17). As it stands, the Chargers sit second in the AFC West and if the season was to end today, they’d finish on the outer edge of the playoff spots so they need to pick up some more crucial victories. As for Tennessee, they are a mess right now. They suffered their 3rd consecutive defeat last week (22-36 vs Jaguars) and they are currently limping to the finish line. As it stands, the Titans sit top of the AFC South and if the season ended today, they would get into the playoffs as the fourth seed but they would have no momentum. Overall, I am picking the Chargers to win this one. LA need to keep winning games if they want to make it into the playoffs whilst the Titans might get away with it if the Jacksonville Jaguars fail to win games. Chargers win big in this one.

(9-4) Cincinnati Bengals @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers once again showed that they aren’t a very good football team when they were thrashed 35-7 by the San Francisco 49ers. As it stands, the Bucs still sit top of the NFC South and if the season ended today, they would get into the playoffs as the number 4 seed. As for Cincinnati, they made it 5 wins from 5 after beating division rivals the Cleveland Browns 23-10. As it stands, the Bengals still sit second in the AFC North and if the season ended today, they would have to go on the road as the number 5 seed. Overall, I am picking the Bengals to win this game. I don’t think many teams (if any) can beat this Cincinnati team at the minute with Joe Burrow playing this good. The Bucs certainly aren’t that team and they have to hope other results go their way to keep hold of top spot in the NFC South.

(7-5-1) New York Giants @ Washington Commanders (7-5-1)

After Week 13’s tie, the Giants and the Commanders do battle again in their fight to earn a spot in the playoffs. Last week was Washington’s bye week and they come into this game off the back of a 3-1-1 record in their last 5 games. As it stands, the Commanders sit third in the NFC East and if the season ended today, they would get in as the number 6 seed. As for New York, they were stuffed 48-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles and their run of form has been pretty bad. As it stands, the Giants sit bottom of the NFC East, but if the season ended today, they would still make it into the playoffs which is crazy. Overall, I am going to pick the Commanders to win this game. Washington are on the up whilst the Giants are going down. A win here would put the Commanders in a Commanding position to make the playoffs.

(4-9) Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers (5-8)

The Green Bay Packers come into this game off the back of their bye week. They were 2-3 in their 5 games before their break. As it stands, the Packers sit third in the NFC North and if the season ended today, they would end up being the 10th best team in the NFC which isn’t very good (for their standards). As for LA, they actually managed to pick up a victory against the Las Vegas Raiders (17-16). As it stands, the Rams sit bottom of the NFC West and if the season ended today, the Rams would end up as the second worst team in the NFC. Overall, I am going to go with the Packers. Both teams have underperformed massively this season but I have more faith in the Packers than the Rams.
