NFL Week 13 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(4-7) Cleveland Browns @ Houston Texans (1-9-1)

The Houston Texans are praying for April to arrive so they can pick up a franchise Quarterback. Last week's 30-15 defeat to the Miami Dolphins was their 6th consecutive loss and their 9th in total this season. As it stands, the Texans are bottom of the AFC South and if the season ended today, they would be earning the Number 1 pick in the draft. As for Cleveland, they can be happy with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week (23-17). As it stands, the Browns sit third in the AFC North and if the season ended today, the Browns would fall a long way short of a spot in the playoffs. Overall, I am picking the Browns to win this game. 1 of the reasons is because the Texans aren’t a very good football team. The second reason is because the Browns now have Deshaun Watson in as QB. I’m very intrigued to see how the former Texan gets on given the fact that he hasn’t played for nearly 2 years.

(6-5) Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams (3-8)

What has happened to the Los Angeles Rams? I know they were playing the Chiefs last week but that doesn’t change the fact that they have lost all 5 of their previous games. As it stands, the Rams sit bottom of the NFC West and if the season ended today, the Rams would end up as the second worst team in the NFC. That’s quite a fall for the reigning Super Bowl Champions. As for Seattle, they suffered their second consecutive defeat last week against the Las Vegas Raiders. As it stands, the Seahawks sit second in the NFC West and if the season ended today, Seattle would just miss out on the playoffs. Overall, I am going to pick the Seahawks to win this game. Seattle’s recent results have maybe shown that they overperformed in the first half of the season but that doesn’t mean that they can’t still win games and fight for a spot in the postseason. Particularly when they are playing a sinking ship in the Los Angeles Rams (they may have already sunk).

(8-3) Miami Dolphins @ San Francisco 49ers (7-4)

Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins take on Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers in an incredibly exciting matchup. Last week, the 49ers managed to beat the New Orleans Saints 13-0 to extend their winning run to 4 games. As it stands, the Niners sit top of the NFC West and if the season ended today, San Francisco would enter the playoffs as the number 3 seed. As for Miami, they beat the Houston Texans last week (30-15) to extend their winning run to 5 games. As it stands, Miami sit second in the AFC East and if the season ended today, the Dolphins would get into the playoffs as the number 5 seed. Overall, I don’t know who to pick! Both teams are flying at the minute and when you look at the two quarterbacks, you realise just how good they are. When it comes to starting QB’s (2022) win/loss record, Tua is ranked 4th whilst Jimmy is ranked 5th. When you look at this year's Quarterback ratings, Tua is ranked 1st whilst Jimmy is once again ranked 5th. Both guys are winners but I’m going to have to go with the Dolphins. JUST!

(9-2) Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals (7-4)

Boy has Week 13 got some great games. The Cincinnati Bengals proved to everyone just how good they are last week by going to Tennessee and coming out as 20-16 winners. As it stands, the Bengals sit second in the AFC North and if the season ended today, the Bengals would get into the playoffs as the number 6 seed. As for Kansas, they managed to make it 5 wins in a row last week by beating the Los Angeles Rams (26-10). As it stands, the Chiefs sit top of the AFC West and if the season ended today, they would take the number 1 seed in the AFC. Overall, I am going with the Bengals. That might come as a surprise and it probably would be. However, I have said many times that the Bengals are a brilliant football team when it comes to getting the job done. Are they a better team than the Chiefs, no. That doesn’t always matter in football though.

(6-5) Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders (4-7)

The Las Vegas Raiders earnt their second consecutive win last week by beating the Seattle Seahawks 40-34. As it stands, the Raiders sit third in the AFC West and if the season ended today, they wouldn’t be playing post season football. As for LA, they picked up a big win in a tight battle with the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale (25-24). As it stands, the Chargers sit second in the AFC West and if the season ended today, they would also miss out on the playoffs. Overall, I am picking the Chargers. The Chargers inconsistency has put their hopes of making the playoffs in jeopardy, so they need to pick up a win here and I expect them too against a Raiders team whose playoff hopes are all but over anyway.

(4-7-1) Indianapolis Colts @ Dallas Cowboys (8-3)

The Dallas Cowboys continue to put themselves in the best possible position to make the playoffs after knocking off the New York Giants 28-20 in a big Thanksgiving Thursday matchup. As it stands, the Cowboys sit second in the NFC East and if the season ended today, Dallas would be playing away as the number 5 seed. As for Indianapolis, they suffered a defeat at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that pretty much proves that this has been a bad year for the Colts. As it stands, they sit second in the AFC South and if the season ended today, the Colts wouldn’t get near the playoffs. Overall, I am going with the Cowboys. Dallas should stuff Indi this weekend but even if that doesn’t happen, they’re still going to win.

(4-8) New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6)

Monday Night Football sees a defining game in the race for the NFC South title as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcome the New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay suffered a poor road defeat last week against the Cleveland Browns and that loss has put more pressure on the Bucs in their fight to make the playoffs. As it stands, the Buccaneers still sit top of the NFC South and if the season ended today, they would get into the playoffs but only as the number 4 seed. As for New Orleans, they failed to get any points on the board last week in a 13-0 loss in San Francisco. As it stands, the Saints sit bottom of the NFC South and if the season ended today, the Saints would finish as the third worst team in the NFC in 2022. Overall, I believe that the Bucs will win this game. This game is really “all or nothing” for the New Orleans Saints but they haven’t shown anything this season to think they can turn their results around. Tampa should win this game but if they lose this game, it’s anyone’s guess as to who ends on top in this poor division.
