With the F1 23 game nearing its release date, I thought I would give my Driver Ratings for this year’s grid. Some of these ratings will probably be substantially higher than what EA/Codemasters give them, but that’s because I think all these drivers deserve a higher grade than what they are given. Also, the 4 categories (Experience, Racecraft, Awareness and Pace) don’t affect their overall rating, it’s just extra information. Here’s a quick guide of how I interpret those 4 categories (the F1 game rates them differently).
Experience: The number of races/seasons the driver has participated in.
Racecraft: How good the driver is at both attacking and defending.
Awareness: How good they are in the rain and how many mistakes they tend to make.
Pace: Overall speed, particularly in Qualifying.
