My 2024 F1 Academy Predictions

Updated: Mar 30

For a second year, F1 Academy returns but this time with plenty more eyes on it. With 7 Rounds and support from the official Formula 1 teams, this promises to be another exciting Racing Series and it’s now time for me to give my Predictions for the upcoming season! It’s worth mentioning that there will be a “Wildcard” driver every round, but I can’t add them to these Predictions as we don’t know who they are yet.

P15: Aurelia Nobels

Aurelia Nobels is looking to learn a lot in her first year in F1 Academy. The 17-year-old Brazilian-Belgian racing driver is driving for ART Grand Prix in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was 16th in the 2022 F4 Brazilian Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Aurelia is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, but she’s actually being supported by PUMA this year. It’s always so difficult to get a read of drivers so young, but I just can’t put Nobels any higher.

P14: Tina Hausmann

Tina Hausmann is looking to learn and improve in her Rookie F1 Academy season. The 17-year-old Swiss racing driver is driving for Prema Racing in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was 20th in the 2023 Euro 4 Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Tina is being supported by Aston Martin this season. Due to Hausmann’s lack of experience, it’s really hard to put her any higher than this.

P13: Chloe Chambers

Chloe Chambers is hoping to have a good year after a positive 2023. The 19-year-old American racing driver is driving for Campos Racing in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was P6 in the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America (Cayman Pro/Am). It’s worth mentioning that Chloe is being supported by Haas this season. Chambers definitely had a positive 2023, but she wasn’t the best in W Series which is why I can’t put Chloe any higher.

P12: Lola Lovinfosse

Credit: F1 Academy

Lola Lovinfosse is hoping for a better second year in F1 Academy. The 18-year-old French racing driver is driving for Rodin Motorsport in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was 10th in F1 Academy last year. When it comes to F1 Academy, Lovinfosse has been on the Podium 3 times. It’s worth mentioning that Lola is being supported by Charlotte Tilbury this season. I personally think there are better drivers than Lovinfosse in F1 Academy this year.

P11: Carrie Schreiner

Credit: Sauber Group

Carrie Schreiner returns to F1 Academy for a second season. The 25-year-old German racing driver is driving for Campos Racing in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish came when she won both the 2018 DMV Gran Turismo Touring Car Cup and Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East (Pro/AM) Championship. When it comes to F1 Academy, Schreiner won 1 Race on her way to 11th in the Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Carrie is being supported by Kick Sauber this season. Given Carrie Schreiner’s had a year in single-seaters now, I think she’ll do better this year, even if my actual Prediction doesn’t represent that.

P10: Emely de Heus

Credit: F1 Academy

Emely de Heus is aiming to win more in F1 Academy this year. The 21-year-old Dutch racing driver is driving for MP Motorsport in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was 9th in F1 Academy last year. When it comes to F1 Academy, de Heus has taken 1 Win and 2 Podiums. It’s worth mentioning that Emely is being supported by Red Bull this season. I’m interested to see how well Emely de Heus does this year given Red Bull are backing her.

P9: Lia Block

Credit: Williams Racing

Lia Block is ready to start her Single-Seater Career. The 17-year-old American racing driver is driving for ART Grand Prix in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish came when she won the 2023 American Rally Association in her Class (02WD). It’s worth mentioning that Lia is being supported by Williams this season which I find to be quite interesting given the drivers that Academy have had in the past. Whilst Lia Block is very young, I actually think she’ll do decently well this year and Block being signed to the Williams Driver Academy genuinely excites me!

P8: Bianca Bustamante

Credit: F1

Bianca Bustamante is hoping for a much stronger second year in F1 Academy. The 19-year-old Filipina racing driver is driving for ART Grand Prix in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was P7 in last year’s inaugural F1 Academy Season. When it comes to F1 Academy, Bustamante has taken 2 Wins and 4 Podiums so far. It’s also worth mentioning that Bianca is being supported by McLaren this season. I very much feel that Bianca Bustamante is a midfield driver in F1 Academy with the ability to win from time to time.

P7: Amna Al Qubaisi

Credit: F1 Academy

Amna Al Qubaisi will be hoping to beat her Sister in the Championship this time around. The 23-year-old Emirati racing driver is driving for MP Motorsport in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was 6th in F1 Academy last year. When it comes to F1 Academy, Al Qubaisi has achieved 2 Wins and 4 Podiums so far. It’s also worth mentioning that Amna is being supported by Visa Cash App RB this year which is pretty cool! Amna Al Qubaisi did a lot better last year than I expected her to, but I actually think Amna might drop down the field ever so slightly in 2024.

P6: Maya Weug

Credit: F1 Academy

Maya Weug will have a lot of eyes on her this season. The 19-year-old Dutch-Belgian-Spanish racing driver is driving for Prema Racing in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was P14 in the 2022 Italian F4 Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Maya is being supported by Ferrari this season after being a part of their Driver Academy since 2021. I think Weug will do well this year and will ultimately finish in a pretty good P6 in the Championship.

P5: Jessica Edgar

Credit: F1

Jessica Edgar will be hoping to continue where she left off in Texas last year. The 18-year-old British racing driver is driving for Rodin Motorsport in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was 7th in the 2022 GB3 Championship. When it comes to F1 Academy, Edgar managed 1 Win and 4 Podiums in her Rookie Season and she ultimately finished 8th in the Standings. Interestingly, Jessica is the only driver on the F1 Academy Grid this year not to be supported by anyone and I honestly find that both a bit strange and sad! Anyway, I rate Jessica Edgar, she was very impressive in COTA last year, and I think she’ll have a much stronger 2024/

P4: Nerea Marti

Credit: F1

Nerea Marti is hoping to finally break into the Top 3 (in the Championship) in Single Seater Racing. The 22-year-old Spanish racing driver is driving for Campos Racing in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was second in both the 2021-22 GT Winter Series and CER – D1 (2022). When it comes to F1 Academy, Marti managed 1 Win and 6 Podiums last year on her way to 4th in the Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Nerea is being supported by Tommy Hilfiger this season which is pretty cool! Nerea Marti is the first driver I could genuinely see winning the F1 Academy Championship this year. However, I think Marti will just miss out (but not by much).

P3: Abbi Pulling

Credit: F1 Academy

Unlike last year, I haven’t predicted Abbi Pulling to end the year as F1 Academy Champion. The 20-year-old British racing driver is driving for Rodin Motorsport in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was P4 in the 2022 W Series. When it comes to F1 Academy, Pulling managed 7 Podiums last year on her way to 5th in the Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Abbi is being supported by Alpine this season after being with the team since 2022. I like Abbi Pulling, but the only concern I have is Abbi still hasn’t managed a single Race victory in 103 attempts! What I will say is if Pulling does win in Jeddah this week, she’ll run away with the Championship!

P2: Doriane Pin

Credit: F1

Doriane Pin enters F1 Academy with a lot of expectations. The 20-year-old French racing driver is driving for Prema Racing in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish came when she won the 2022 Ferrari Challenge Europe – Trofeo Pirelli (Pro) Championship. It’s worth mentioning that Doriane is being supported by Mercedes this season. There’s a lot of hype around Doriane Pin this year and many people expect her to end the year as F1 Academy Champion. I totally understand that, but I think there’s someone who just edges out Pin (when it comes to winning the Title).

P1: Hamda Al Qubaisi

Credit: F1 Academy

I personally feel that Hamda Al Qubaisi will leave Abu Dhabi in December as the new F1 Academy Champion! The 21-year-old Emirati racing driver is driving for MP Motorsport in 2024 and her highest-ever Championship finish was third in F1 Academy last year. When it comes to F1 Academy, Al Qubaisi managed 3 Wins and 6 Podiums in her debut year. It’s worth mentioning that Hamda is being supported by Red Bull Racing this season which is very exciting indeed! Firstly, the two drivers that finished ahead of Hamda Al Qubaisi in F1 Academy last year aren’t on the Grid this year. Secondly, Al Qubaisi is a multi-time winner at Formula 4 level. And finally, the fact that Red Bull have decided to back Hamda gives me everything I need to predict her for the Title!
