Monday Night Raw Review: 24/04

Note: Unfortunately and very annoyingly, my computer crashed just as I was about to start writing about the main event and when I turned my laptop back on, I’d lost the review entirely. Because of a lack of both time and patience, below is a quick summary about each match/segment that took place from last night’s Monday Night Raw. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal for NXT Spring Breakin’ tomorrow.

Cody Rhodes kicked off the show before Finn Balor came out and asked Rhodes to join the Judgment Day. The American Nightmare said no before he challenged Balor to a match.

Grade: C+

The Bloodline took on the LWO in an entertaining six-man tag where Legado (I’m still going to call them that) looked great. Solo met Cruz Del Toro with a Samoan Spike mid-air before the Usos delivered 1D to get the victory.

Grade: B-

After a few backstage segments, the Street Profits took on the team of Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in a short match that saw Montez Ford pick up the victory with his lovely Frog Splash.

Grade: C

Triple H announced that Roman Reigns will take the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to whichever brand he gets drafted to and the other show will have the brand-new World Heavyweight Championship. This is cool, I’m a big fan of this.

Grade: B+

After some more backstage segments, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez teamed up to take on Damage CTRL. This was a decent match where Sky and Kai looked particularly good and the ending saw the EST of WWE get the victory by pinning Bayley.

Grade: C+

Austin Theory cut an in-ring promo where he was interrupted by Bobby Lashley before the two men brawled. Bronson Reed then showed up and whilst he worked with Theory to take down the All Mighty, he quickly laid out the United States Champion and lifted the belt up high which could well be a fatal error.

Grade: B-

After a backstage segment between the two men earlier in the night, Chad Gable took on Mustafa Ali in a pretty short match which saw Ali get the victory after reversing the Master’s attempt at the Chaos Theory. Ali winning in his hometown was pretty nice to see.

Grade: C

Cody Rhodes took on Finn Balor in a decent match where both men were able to showcase their abilities. In the end, it was Cody Rhodes who picked up the victory with the Cross Rhodes.

Grade: B-

Seth “Freakin” Rollins talked about how he wants to become the new World Heavyweight Champion at Night of Champions before MVP and Omos came down to try and hype up their BackLash match. MVP did all of the talking whilst Omos stood there in his smart suit.

Grade: C+ (because of Seth’s greatness)

The main event of Monday Night Raw saw Rey Mysterio take on Damian Priest. The match was alright, but the ending was frustrating as Priest chucked a chair at Mysterio to cause the DQ. Bad Bunny then arrived and beat his former buddy up with a kendo stick before he announced that the two men will face off at BackLash in a Street Fight. I personally think that’s very cool and I hope it Main Event’s the show.

Grade: C+
