Champions League Preview: Quarter Final, Leg 1

Manchester City VS Bayern Munich

Manchester City host Bayern Munich in a huge Champions League clash. Man City are coming into this game off the back of a 4-1 win away to Southampton and they currently sit second in the Premier League. Bayern Munich come into this game off the back of a 1-0 win away to Freiburg and they currently sit top of the Bundesliga. In their previous 10 meetings, both sides have managed 5 wins. Overall, both Manchester City and Bayern Munich know they can’t afford to lose this tie.

My Prediction: 3-2

Benfica VS Inter Milan

Benfica host Inter Milan in a huge opportunity for both clubs. SL Benfica are coming into this game after losing 2-1 at home to Porto, but they still sit top of Liga Portugal. Inter Milan come into this game off the back of a one-all draw with Salernitana and they currently sit 5th in Serie A. Overall, Benfica are former two-time Champions League winners whilst Inter are 3-time winners, yet both teams are seen as the least likely clubs to lift the trophy on June 10th.

My Prediction: 2-0

Real Madrid VS Chelsea

Real Madrid host Chelsea in a repeat of last year’s Quarter Final. Real Madrid are coming into this game off the back of a 3-2 loss at home to Villarreal and they currently sit second in LaLiga. Chelsea come into this game after suffering a 1-0 loss away to Wolves and they currently sit 11th in the Premier League. In their previous 6 meetings, Madrid have won 3 times whilst Chelsea have won just once. Overall, Real Madrid are looking to make their third consecutive UCL Semi Final whilst Chelsea are looking to get some revenge this time around.

My Prediction: 3-1

A.C. Milan VS Napoli

Two Italian Giants face off as A.C. Milan battle Napoli for a place in the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals. A.C. Milan are coming into this game off the back of a 0-0 draw at home to Empoli and they currently sit 4th in Serie A. Napoli come into this game off the back of a 2-1 win away to Lecce and they currently sit top of Serie A by 16 points. In their previous 27 meetings, Milan have won 7 times whilst S.S.C. Napoli have won 12 times. Overall, A.C. Milan are looking to make their first European Semi-Final since they won this competition back in 2007 whilst Napoli are just about to enter their first-ever UCL Quarter Final.

My Prediction: 1-2
