Can you feel the excitement from here? That’s right, Formula 1 is back for another year as all 10 teams and 20 drivers will go at it to earn the most points they possibly can! This is a big year for Formula 1, it’s the final season of the current regulations, there’s multiple teams and drivers in play when it comes to Championship glory, at least a 5th of the Grid can be classed as Rookies, and it’s also a year that carries an awful lot of expectations! With Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, Carlos Sainz at Williams, and Andrea Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes, the storylines for this year are endless, and that’s why I’m here to preview it all!

The Teams
McLaren

For the first time since 1999, McLaren enter the season as Champions! Last year, McLaren smashed all expectations as the team took 6 wins on its way to an unlikely (at the start of the year) Constructors’ World Championship! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, McLaren have achieved 12 Drivers’ World Championships, 9 Constructors' World Championships, 189 Race victories, 164 Pole Positions, and 524 Podiums! When it comes to their drivers, McLaren have retained the pairing of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri for a third straight year!
Lando Norris enters 2025 with one goal in mind; become a World Champion! Last year, Lando had by far his best year in Formula 1, earning his first victory in Miami before he went on to win another 3 more on his way to second in the Standings! Over the course of his F1 career, Norris has achieved 4 Race Wins, 9 Pole Positions, and 26 Podiums! If Lando Norris sorts out his starts and builds on his performance in Abu Dhabi, there’s no reason why Lando can’t end the year as Champion!
As for his teammate, Oscar Piastri is aiming to continue to grow as he becomes more and more familiar with being a Formula 1 driver! Last year, Oscar really stepped up his game, winning not once, but twice (with his win in Azerbaijan being pretty sensational) as he forced his teammate to step up his game in the process! Over the course of his F1 career, Piastri has achieved 2 Race Wins, and 10 Podiums! Whilst he may have tailed off a little bit towards the end of the year, Oscar Piastri was scarily good last year, and if he takes another step up, he will become a real, real headache for his teammate’s World Championship aspirations!
Overall, despite all the hype around a certain other team, McLaren should still be seen as the favourites given how fast their car was last year! Speaking of their fast car, if McLaren continue to have the fastest car throughout 2025, there are no excuses when it comes to one of their drivers ending the year as a maiden World Champion!

Ferrari

There’s an argument to be made that in the history of Formula 1, there haven’t been many teams hyped up more than Ferrari have been this year! Last year, Ferrari showed a real consistency through both of its drivers, and if it wasn’t for a blip after Monaco, they probably would’ve ended the year as Constructors’ Champions! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Ferrari have achieved 15 Drivers’ World Championships, 16 Constructors’ World Championships, 247 Race victories, 253 Pole Positions, and 824 Podiums! When it comes to their drivers, Charles Leclerc stays for another season, but Carlos Sainz is out as Lewis Hamilton joins Ferrari in one of the biggest sporting transfers of all time!
Whilst he went to another level last year, Charles Leclerc might have to improve even further if he wants to win a World Championship this year! Last year, Charles’ consistency shone throughout, finishing inside the Top 5 in all but 3 Races, and he also picked up 3 victories (with 2 of them being particularly special)! Over the course of his F1 career, Leclerc has achieved 8 Race Wins, 26 Pole Positions, and 43 Podiums! There’s no doubt about the ability of Charles Leclerc, he is an amazing racing driver, but he still needs the stars to align in order to be the absolute best!
As for his teammate, Lewis Hamilton is officially in red! Last year, Lewis had a bit of a messy final year with Mercedes, ending up just 7th in the Standings, but he still managed 2 wins and showed glimpses of greatness still being there! Over the course of his F1 career, Hamilton has achieved 7 World Championships, 105 Race Wins, 104 Pole Positions, and 202 Podiums! Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that he feels revitalised and reenergised with his new team, and that he expects success. However, Lewis will need to be at his best in order to achieve some!
Overall, the eyes of the Formula 1 world are on Ferrari this year, more than any other year because they have the driver lineup and the pedigree to win! Now the pressure is fully on the Scuderia to deliver a car that’s capable of winning Championships because they have two drivers and a fanbase that won’t accept anything else!

Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing head into 2025 knowing they need to step it up if they want to win anything come the end of the year! Last year, despite starting the year superbly, Red Bull’s pace completely dropped, and it resulted in them falling way short of expectations, despite the fact that Max Verstappen still won his 4th World Championship! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Red Bull have achieved 8 Drivers’ World Championships, 6 Constructors’ World Championships, 122 Race victories, 103 Pole Positions, and 282 Podiums! When it comes to their drivers, Max Verstappen leads the team for yet another year whilst Liam Lawson steps up to replace Sergio Perez!
Even considering 2021 and 2024, 2025 is potentially Max Verstappen’s hardest Championship challenge to date! Last year, Max didn’t win nearly as many Races as expected, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t still the standout driver as his quality helped guide him to a World Title that I’m not sure anyone else could’ve won! Over the course of his F1 career, Verstappen has achieved 4 World Championships, 63 Race Wins, 40 Pole Positions, and 112 Podiums! There’s no doubt that Max Verstappen is the best driver in the world right now, but he’s potentially going to need more than that to come out on top this year!
As for his teammate, Liam Lawson is ready to prove to everyone that the second Red Bull seat isn’t as cursed as people think! Last year, Liam competed in the final quarter of the season in place of Daniel Ricciardo at Visa Cash App RB, and whilst his results were mixed, his points-scoring finishes in Texans and Sao Paulo were strong! Over the course of his F1 career, Lawson has scored 6 points in 11 starts, and he’ll be hoping to smash that tally with just 1 Race! Whilst expectations may be low, the pressure is still on Liam Lawson to perform, he has to prove that he deserves the opportunity at the big team, and it’s vital for both his career and the team as a whole that he does deliver the goods!
Overall, unlike previous years, Red Bull Racing aren’t expected to go out there and dominate, in fact, I haven’t seen many people picking them to win either Championship, let alone both! With this being the final year of these current regulations, Red Bull have to deliver a car that’s capable of winning because otherwise, they risk losing their World Champion which will only make matters harder!

Mercedes

With their Champion gone, Mercedes look to kick off their new era with a bang! Last year, Mercedes struggled for consistency, Lewis Hamilton left the team, and they were in a world of their own in terms of the Constructors’ Standings! However, despite that, the team still managed to win 4 Races so the pace was there (at times)! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Mercedes have achieved 9 Drivers’ World Championships, 8 Constructors’ World Championships, 129 Race victories, 141 Pole Positions, and 298 Podiums! When it comes to their drivers, George Russell sticks with the team for the 4th-straight year whilst Italian Prodigy Andrea Kimi Antonelli enters the fray!
After years of playing teammate to a history maker, George Russell is ready to command control of Mercedes! Last year, George had arguably his best season to date, winning the h2h battle with Lewis Hamilton whilst also taking victories in both Austria and Las Vegas (and we shouldn’t forget his brilliant drive in Spa)! Over the course of his F1 career, Russell has achieved 3 Race Wins, 5 Pole Positions, and 15 Podiums! I found that George Russell showed last year that when given the opportunity, he knows how to win. That’s a skill that’s very helpful and useful to have, and as long as Mercedes give him the car, George will be eyeing up more than just a couple of wins in 2025!
As for his teammate, Andrea Kimi Antonelli enters Formula 1 as one of the most highly anticipated Rookies of all time! Last year, Kimi finished 6th in his one and only year in FIA Formula 2, and the big thing to take away from that season is he outperformed his Prema Racing teammate (someone we’ll talk about later)! Over the course of his Junior Formula career, Antonelli managed to win ADAC and Italian F4 in 2022 whilst he also won the 2023 Formula Regional Middle East and Formula Regional European Championships! At the end of the day, the resume speaks for itself, the hype speaks for itself, but whether Kimi Antonelli is going to hit the ground running straight away is yet to be seen. However, either way, this kid’s going to be around for a while!
Overall, Mercedes have a really exciting and intriguing driver lineup for 2025, now it’s on the team to deliver a car capable of winning because in my opinion, there are opportunities for them to do so!

Aston Martin

With Adrian Newey joining the team, it’s still very unclear what kind of performance Aston Martin will bring in 2025! Last year, Aston Martin started the year well, only for their pace to completely drop off, resulting in them finishing in a world of their own in the Standings! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Aston Martin have achieved 9 Podiums, but the Silverstone-based team has achieved 5 Race victories under previous names! As for their best Championship finish, Aston managed to finish 5th in both 2023 and 2024, but they have also done better in the past! When it comes to their drivers, Aston Martin have retained the experienced duo of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll for a third-straight year!
For his penultimate season in the sport, it feels like Fernando Alonso would gladly skip past it! Last year, Fernando was once again Aston’s main man, but a lack of car performance prevented him from challenging for any sort of Podium place! Over the course of his F1 career, Alonso has achieved 2 World Championships, 32 Race Wins, 22 Pole Positions, and 106 Podiums! Ultimately, whilst I don’t think the motivation will drop, it’s pretty clear that Fernando Alonso is putting all of his eggs into the 2026 Aston Martin basket, and that could mean that this year isn’t one of Fernando’s finest!
As for his teammate, Lance Stroll needs to find his groove again! Last year, Lance struggled a lot, scoring points in just a quarter of the Races, and he enters this year looking for his first points since July (which was before the Summer Break)! Over the course of his F1 career, Stroll has achieved 1 Pole Position, and 3 Podiums! This is the first time that I’ve felt like there’s real pressure on Lance Stroll’s shoulders, it’s a new set of regulations next year, and Adrian Newey is not going to want to build a car for a driver that’s lost interest in the sport. If Lance can find that motivation again, this year will go a lot better for him!
Overall, Aston Martin have only gone backwards since the middle part of 2023, and despite Adrian Newey’s arrival plus Andy Cowell becoming the new Team Principal, the expectations for Aston are pretty low, despite the fact that they have Fernando Alonso!

Alpine

Alpine are hoping that their end to last season is how they start this season! Last year, Alpine sucked to begin with, they couldn’t get close to scoring any points, but a terrific double Podium in Sao Paulo combined with an up tern in performance in the final few rounds resulted in them retaining their spot in 6th! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Alpine have achieved 1 Race Win, and 6 Podiums! However, it’s worth mentioning that the Enstone-based team has achieved Championship glory as both Renault and Benetton in the past! When it comes to their drivers, Pierre Gasly remains with the team for a third-straight year whilst Jack Doohan steps up from his Reserve duties last year!
After a positive first two years with the team, Pierre Gasly is fully Alpine’s team leader! Last year, Pierre really stepped up his game as Alpine’s performance improved, with a Podium in Sao Paulo and a P3 result in Las Vegas Qualifying showcasing just how talented he truly is! Over the course of his F1 career, Gasly has achieved 1 Race Win, and 5 Podiums! If Pierre Gasly drives as well as he did at the end of 2024, he will be incredibly strong and hard to stop in the fight for points, but there’s also a chance that Pierre may well be Alpine’s only consistent throughout the year!
As for his teammate, Jack Doohan enters his Rookie Season with more pressure than anyone! Last year, Jack spent the year as Alpine’s Reserve Driver, but he did make his Grand Prix debut in the Season Finale in Abu Dhabi (where he finished 15th)! Over the course of his Junior Formula career, Doohan has been a Runner-up in FIA Formula 3 (2021), and he’s also a 6-time Race winner in FIA Formula 2! Jack Doohan is a talented racing driver, no one can say otherwise, but I’ve never seen a Rookie with this much pressure on their shoulders before! Like, there is potential that Jack doesn’t even make it to the Summer Break with Franco Colapinto waiting in the wings, and I hope for Doohan’s sake that he gets a proper shot!
Overall, Alpine improved a lot over the course of last year, and they clearly must be more confident heading into this year when you compare the two liveries (from 2024 and 2025). However, whilst the performance should be the main talking point, the fact that Alpine already have a driver waiting in the wings might end up being what everyone talks about!

Haas

Haas enter 2025 with far more confidence than they’ve had in a very long time! Last year, Haas had a great season, scoring points in over half of the Race weekends as they ended up 7th in the Standings! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Haas have achieved 1 Pole Positions, and their highest-ever Championship finish was 5th back in 2018! When it comes to their drivers, Haas have a brand-new lineup in the form of Race Winner Esteban Ocon and young superstar Oliver Bearman!
Esteban Ocon joins Haas looking a lot happier than he did throughout 2024! Last year, Esteban did not have a good final year with Alpine, with multiple issues occurring, but he was still able to deliver a terrific Podium in Sao Paulo! Over the course of his F1 career, Ocon has achieved 1 Race Win, and 4 Podiums! Esteban Ocon is ultimately a very good racing driver that doesn’t get the praise that he deserves, and I think Haas is the perfect place for Estie Bestie to change all of that!
As for his teammate, Oliver Bearman is finally a full-time Formula 1 Driver! Last year, Ollie had a difficult time in Formula 2, finishing just 12th in the Standings, but he did star in substitute appearances in both Jeddah (with Ferrari) and Baku (with Haas)! Over the course of his Junior Formula career, Bearman managed to win both the ADAC and Italian Formula 4 Championships, and he’s also a 7-time winner in Formula 2! Whether you think Oliver Bearman is a Rookie or not, I think most people will agree that this kid is talented, that he’s super, super fast, and I think Ollie is someone to watch in 2025!
Overall, I feel like Haas are on the up, they had a great 2024, they have a new and improved Driver Lineup, and the expectations and excitement surrounding the team is far greater than years previous! Now it’s just up to Ayao Komatsu and co to deliver on this promise!

Racing Bulls

Another year, another new name as Racing Bulls are ready to hit the track! Last year, Visa Cash App RB started the year well, but their lack of performance towards the end of the year saw them get jumped by both Alpine and Haas in the Championship! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, VCARB have achieved 2 Race victories under different names and their highest-ever Championship finish was 6th in 2008, 2019 (as Toro Rosso), and 2021 (as AlphaTauri)! When it comes to their drivers, Yuki Tsunoda remains with the team for a 5th-straight year whilst Isack Hadjar is yet another new Rookie to the Grid!
Yuki Tsunoda is looking to prove a point in 2025! Last year, Yuki had by far his best year in the sport, outperforming both Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson, yet he still wasn’t promoted to the main team! Over the course of his F1 career, Tsunoda has scored 91 Points in 87 Races, and his best result was P4 in the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix! Yuki Tsunoda has every right to feel hard-done by in terms of not being promoted to Red Bull, and this now makes 2025 a big year for Yuki because not only is he looking to prove Red Bull wrong, but he also needs to give other teams reasons to be interested!
As for his teammate, Isack Hadjar enters Formula 1 as a diamond in the rough! Last year, Isack had a great year in Formula 2, winning 4 Races as he ended up finishing Runner-up! Over the course of his Junior Formula career, Hadjar managed wins in French F4, Formula Regional, and Formula 3, and he of course had a great final F2 campaign! The pace is there with Isack Hadjar, he is such a quick driver, and he fully merits a place in Formula 1! However, there is also a temper, just like with many other young Red Bull drivers, and Isack cannot afford for that to take over because he has real potential!
Overall, Racing Bulls are maybe the hardest team to get a read on this year, there’s reasons to think they’re going to struggle, but there’s also reasons and historical data to say that they could have a great season! Arguably, there’s even more questions surrounding their driver lineup, and that is intriguing!

Williams

With a far stronger driver lineup than this time last year, Williams are aiming for a much more successful 2025! Last year, Williams went backwards, scoring points in just 5 of the 24 Race weekends whilst crashing cars week in week out also didn’t help their cause! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Williams have achieved 7 Drivers’ World Championships, 9 Constructors’ World Championships, 114 Race victories, 128 Pole Positions, and 313 Podiums! When it comes to their drivers, Alex Albon enters his 4th season with the team whilst Carlos Sainz joins as potentially the signing of the season!
Alex Albon knows he has to step up his game in order to keep his Williams future intact! Last year, Alex destroyed Logan Sargeant before he had mixed results compared to Franco Colapinto, but the lack of car pace meant 2024 was a bit of a dip compared to the season before! Over the course of his F1 career, Albon has achieved 2 Podiums, and his highest-ever Championship finish was 7th back in 2020! Alex Albon has clearly been Williams’ Number 1 since he arrived, but in order to keep that status, Alex has to improve as otherwise, his future in the sport would no longer be guaranteed!
As for his teammate, Carlos Sainz is ready to lead Williams to the promise lands! Last year, Carlos had his best season to date as he left Ferrari on a high, winning 2 Races which included Australia, a Race that took place just 2 weeks after he had appendicitis surgery (still insane)! Over the course of his F1 career, Sainz has achieved 4 Race Wins, 6 Pole Positions, and 27 Podiums! It’s pretty obvious that Carlos Sainz is far too good to be at Williams right now, but this is still a great opportunity for him to lead a team forward, an opportunity I think Carlos will relish!
Overall, Williams were weak last year, but there are a lot more reasons to be confident this year. Whilst 2026 is far more important to them, Williams have a driver lineup capable of strong results, so they still need to deliver a good enough car because then a positive year will follow!

Kick Sauber

After a shambles of a 2024, Kick Sauber enter their final season before they fully transition into Audi! Last year, Kick Sauber were absolutely abysmal, they started the year with 50-second pit stops, they spent the middle part of the year being miles off the rest, and the only saving grace was that Zhou Guanyu was able to deliver a terrific P8 in Qatar to stop the team from going pointless! Over the course of their Formula 1 career, Sauber have achieved 1 Race victory, 1 Pole Position (both as BMW Sauber), and 27 Podiums! As for their best Championship finish, Sauber managed to finish 2nd back in 2007! When it comes to their drivers, Kick Sauber launch an all-new lineup with a mixture of experience and speed as Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto brace for the Audi project!
After impressing with Haas, Nico Hulkenberg takes a step back hoping for a brighter future! Last year, Nico was a real shining light as he dragged Haas all the way from last to 7th in the Standings! Over the course of his F1 career, Hulkenberg has achieved 1 Pole Position, and his highest-ever Championship finish was 7th back in 2018! Whilst Nico Hulkenberg has definitely taken a step back heading into 2025, it very much feels like his focus is fully on Audi from 2026 onwards! Despite that, it’s still important for Nico to win the teammate h2h battle!
As for his teammate, Gabriel Bortoleto steps up with the best resume of any of the Rookies this year! Last year, Gabriel proved that consistency truly is key as a number of Top 6 finishes meant he ended the year as the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Champion! Over the course of his Junior Formula career, Bortoleto managed to win Formula 3 and Formula 2 back-to-back, an amazing feat that’s only been achieved 3 times previously (by Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Oscar Piastri)! Gabriel Bortoleto is such a good racing driver, it’s really exciting to see another Brazilian on the Grid, and the fact he’s signed for Sauber means the pressure should be more than manageable! However, just like I said about his teammate, Gabriel will want to end the year as Sauber’s main man heading into their new era!
Overall, Kick Sauber were awful last year, and despite having a strong lineup, there’s not many reasons to believe that will change this year. The team is clearly in a transition period, just waiting to become Audi in 2026, but the battle between Hulkenberg and Bortoleto is definitely worth keeping an eye on!

The Calendar
Round 1: Australian Grand Prix (14th-16th March)

Formula 1 finally returns as Australia takes its place as the Season Opener! The Albert Park Circuit is 5.278km (3.280 miles) long, it features 16 corners, and there will be 58 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 38 Australian Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1985, was won by Keke Rosberg! Last year, Carlos Sainz came back from appendicitis surgery to take a sensational victory whilst a brake failure meant Max Verstappen was forced to retire from the proceedings early! Currently, Michael Schumacher holds the record for the most Australian GP victories with 4 whilst Ferrari have won the Race 14 times! Whatever time this Race takes place for you, make sure you’re glued to your seat!

Round 2: Chinese Grand Prix (21st-23rd March)

After returning last season, the Chinese Grand Prix remains on the calendar for another year! The Shanghai International Circuit is 5.451km (3.387 miles) long, it features 16 corners, and there will be 56 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 17 Chinese Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 2004, was won by Rubens Barrichello. Last year, Max Verstappen came home as the victor whilst home hero Zhou Guanyu finished 14th! Currently, Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the most Chinese GP victories with 6 whilst Mercedes have also won the Race 6 times! Whilst it feels a little crazy to have a Sprint Weekend in Round 2, China’s a cool circuit, and hopefully the racing will deliver again!

Round 3: Japanese Grand Prix (4th-6th April)

The idea of the Japanese Grand Prix being the third Race of the season almost doesn’t feel real! The Suzuka Circuit is 5.807km (3.608 miles) long, it features 18 corners, and there will be 53 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 38 Japanese Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1976, was won by Mario Andretti! Last year, Max Verstappen bounced back to take a comfortable victory as Sergio Perez completed a Red Bull 1-2! Currently, Michael Schumacher holds the record for the most Japanese GP victories with 6 whilst McLaren have won the Race 9 times! Suzuka has always been a firm favourite for the drivers, and it’s also got some of the best fans in the world too!

Round 4: Bahrain Grand Prix (11th-13th April)

Bahrain is no longer the season opener as it slots in at Number 4! The Bahrain International Circuit is 5.412km (3.363 miles) long, it features 15 corners, and there will be 57 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 20 Bahrain Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 2004, was won by Michael Schumacher! Last year, Max Verstappen kicked off his Championship defense in style as he won by over 22 seconds whilst Carlos Sainz made a bit of a statement for Ferrari! Currently, Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the most Bahrain GP victories with 5 whilst Ferrari have won the Race 7 times! I really like Bahrain, I think it’s a great track, and we should get a good Race here!

Round 5: Saudi Arabian Grand Prix (18th-20th April)

The first Triple Header of the season concludes with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix! The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is 6.174km (3.836 miles) long, it features 27 corners, and there will be 50 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 4 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix’s, and the first one, held in 2021, was won by Lewis Hamilton! Last year, Max Verstappen took another comfortable victory as Oliver Bearman starred in a substitute appearance for Ferrari! Currently, Max Verstappen holds the record for the most Saudi Arabian GP victories with 2 whilst Red Bull have won the Race 3 times! There’s no room for error at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, and that’s what makes it so breathtaking to watch!

Round 6: Miami Grand Prix (2nd-4th May)

For the first time in 2025, Formula 1 heads to the States for the Miami Grand Prix! The Miami International Autodrome is 5.412km (3.363 miles) long, it features 19 corners, and there will be 57 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 3 Miami Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 2022, was won by Max Verstappen! Last year, Lando Norris took full advantage of a Safety Car to secure his Maiden Race Win! Currently, Max Verstappen holds the record for the most Miami GP victories with 2 whilst Red Bull have also won the Race twice! Just like last year, Miami remains as a Sprint Weekend, and hopefully we’ll get some more memorable moments!

Round 7: Emilia Romagna Grand Prix (16th-18th May)

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix hosts Round 7 in what is its final year of its current contract! The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari is 4.909km (3.050 miles) long, it features 19 corners, and there will be 63 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 4 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 2020, was won by Lewis Hamilton! Last year, Max Verstappen took victory as he held off a charging Lando Norris! Currently, Max Verstappen holds the record for the most Emilia Romagna GP victories with 3 whilst Red Bull have also won the Race 3 times! Whilst the Racing isn’t always the most exciting, Imola is an amazing looking track, and we should enjoy it whilst it’s still here!

Round 8: Monaco Grand Prix (23rd-25th May)

The jewel of the Formula 1 calendar remains as the teams and drivers look to immortalise themselves by winning around the streets of Monte Carlo! The Circuit de Monaco is 3.337km (2.074 miles) long, it features 19 corners, and there will be 78 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 70 Monaco Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1950, was won by Juan Manuel Fangio! Last year, whilst the Race was horrendous, it will always be remembered for Charles Leclerc’s special home victory! Currently, Ayrton Senna holds the record for the most Monaco GP victories with 6 whilst McLaren have won the Race 15 times! This year also brings in a new rule for Monaco as 2 stops are now mandatory, and hopefully that makes Sunday as exciting as a Saturday (which we all know is the best Qualifying of the year)!

Round 9: Spanish Grand Prix (30th May-1st June)

For one final time, Formula 1 heads to Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix! The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is 4.675km (2.905 miles) long, it features 16 corners, and there will be 66 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 53 Spanish Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1951, was won by Juan Manuel Fangio! Last year, Max Verstappen took his 7th victory in 10 Races as George Russell went from 4th to first (in the opening corner)! Currently, both Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher hold the record for the most Spanish GP victories with 6 whilst Ferrari have won the Race 12 times! With Madrid being confirmed as the new home of the Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 onwards, this marks the end of an era for the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya!

Round 10: Canadian Grand Prix (13th-15th June)

Round 10 plays host to one of the more iconic Races on the calendar, the Canadian Grand Prix! The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is 4.361km (2.709 miles) long, it features 13 corners, and there will be 70 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 53 Canadian Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1967, was won by Jack Brabham! Last year, Max Verstappen took a terrific victory in changeable conditions as Ferrari suffered a double DNF! Currently, both Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher hold the record for the most Canadian GP victories with 7 whilst McLaren have won the Race 13 times! This is one of my personal favourite weekends of the year, so fingers crossed it’s a good one!

Round 11: Austrian Grand Prix (27th-29th June)

Unlike previous years, the Austrian Grand Prix doesn’t host a Sprint Weekend! The Red Bull Ring is 4.318km (2.683 miles) long, it features 10 corners, and there will be 71 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 37 Austrian Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1964, was won by Lorenzo Bandini! Last year, drama unfolded as Max Verstappen and Lando Norris came together, allowing George Russell to pick up the pieces and take his (and Mercedes’) first victory of the season! Currently, Max Verstappen holds the record for the most Austrian GP victories with 4 whilst Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes have all won the Race 6 times! The fact that Austria is no longer a Sprint Weekend is actually pretty disappointing, but I’m sure the Race will still be very entertaining!

Round 12: British Grand Prix (4th-6th July)

The halfway point of the 2025 Formula 1 Season couldn’t be any more iconic as the British Grand Prix awaits! The Silverstone Circuit is 5.891km (3.660 miles) long, it features 18 corners, and there will be 52 laps during the Grand Prix! In total, there have been 74 British Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1950, was won by Giuseppe Farina! Last year, another iconic victory occurred as Lewis Hamilton returned to winning ways in a very emotional afternoon! Currently, Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the most British GP victories with 9 whilst Ferrari have won the Race an amazing 18 times! The British Grand Prix is always one of the best of the season, and I think the Silverstone crowd is going to be even more hyped up with Lewis now in red!

In total, there have been 69 Belgian Grand Prix’s, and the inaugural Race, held in 1950, was won by Juan Manuel Fangio! Currently, Michael Schumacher holds the record for the most Belgian GP victories with 6 whilst Ferrari have won the Race 18 times! Belgium is definitely one of the most iconic Races of the season, and the only thing we can predict is that the weather is going to be very unpredictable!

The Dutch fans are some of the best in the world, and it’s going to be fascinating to see how their World Champion gets on!

Round 16: Italian Grand Prix (5th-7th September)

Round 16 is all about Ferrari as the Tifosi pack the grandstands at Monza! The Monza Circuit is 5.793km (3.600 miles) long, it features 11 corners, and there will be 53 laps during the Grand Prix! Monza is amazing, the Tifosi is amazing, and I think they’ll be looking to top last year’s celebrations (which is saying something)!

Last year, Max Verstappen took his final victory of the season in a Race where Zhou Guanyu and Kick Sauber scored their first points of the season! If the Championship fight is as close as people are hoping and expecting, this weekend in Qatar will be pivotal!
