Brentford picked up an important win over Brighton and Hove Albion to keep their European hopes alive! After just 9 minutes, Brentford had the lead as Bryan Mbeumo took his chance well following a great pass through from Keane Lewis-Potter! In the 3rd minute of additional time at the end of the First Half, Brighton were back level as Danny Welbeck headed home! Just 3 minutes into the Second Half, though, and Brentford were back in front as Mbeumo scored again (thanks to a deflection off Lewis Dunk) before Yoane Wissa scored following another deflection off Dunk! Things then got worse for Brighton in the 61st minute as Joao Pedro was shown a straight Red Card for a stupid incident, but in the 81st minute, the visitors were back in the game through Kaoru Mitoma! However, in the 95th minute, the 3 points were secured for Brentford courtesy of Christian Norgaard! Overall, this is a really important win for Brentford! The Bees remain 11th in the table and they take on Nottingham Forest a week on Thursday followed by Manchester United in their next weekend fixture! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they were unlucky here, but they also didn’t do themselves any favours! The Seagulls stay 10th in the league and they host West Ham next time out!

A stonking Aston Villa thrashed Newcastle United in a game that could end up having massive Champions League implications! After less than 60 seconds, Aston Villa already had the lead as Ollie Watkins thanks to a nice deflection off Fabian Schar! Ollie Watkins then came close to scoring again as his effort smashed the crossbar before Fabian Schar managed to equalise for Newcastle in the 18th minute! I really think Emiliano Martinez should’ve done better here! Marco Asensio then had a good opportunity which he made an absolute mess of before Watkins hit the woodwork again! In the 64th minute, Aston Villa were finally back in front as Ian Maatsen fired home from inside the penalty area! In the 73rd minute, it was 3-1 as Dan Burn scored an own goal before Amadou Onana made it 4-1 just 2 minutes later with a cracking strike! Overall, what a special win this is for Aston Villa! Villa remain 7th in the table and they face Manchester City tonight followed by a massive FA Cup Semi-Final against Crystal Palace! As for Newcastle United, they got absolutely destroyed here! The Magpies drop to 4th in the league and they host Ipswich next time out!

After just 14 minutes, Arsenal already had the lead as Leandro Trossard managed to find the back of the net! In the 28th minute, it was 2-0 as Gabriel Martinelli finished off a fantastic team move before things got even worse for Ipswich just a few minutes later as Leif Davis was shown a straight Red Card! This is a ridiculous challenge! Bukayo Saka then came close to making it 3-0 before he had a great chance to score which he poorly put wide! In the Second Half, George Hirst had a decent opportunity to score which he dragged just wide before Arsenal had a third in the 69th minute as Leandro Trossard scored again! Martin Odegaard was then unlucky as his effort hit the inside of the post (and stayed out) before Ethan Nwaneri’s deflected effort made it 4! In the end, this was not a good day for Ipswich Town! The Tractor Boys remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th) and they head to Newcastle next time out! As for Arsenal, this was pretty easy for them! The Gunners stay second in the league and they host Crystal Palace tomorrow!

A late, late winner earnt Chelsea a massive 3 points over London Rivals Fulham! In the 20th minute, Reece James lost the ball far too cheaply, and it led to Fulham going up the other end and taking the lead through Alex Iwobi! In the Second Half, Bernd Leno pulled out an important save to stop Pedro Neto from equalising, but in the 83rd minute, Chelsea would have their equaliser through Tyrique George! And then, in the 93rd minute, Pedro Neto fired home an absolute bullet to give Chelsea a massive 3 points! In the end, this is a difficult loss to take for Fulham! The Cottagers stay 9th in the table and they head to Southampton next time out! As for Chelsea, this is a great win for them! The Blues stay 6th in the league and they host Everton on Saturday!

Tottenham 1-2 Nottingham Forest

After just 5 minutes, Nottingham Forest had the lead as Elliot Anderson’s effort took a helping deflection off of Rodrigo Bentancur! In the 16th minute, it was 2-0 to Nottingham Forest as Chris Wood headed home after a poor bit of goalkeeping by Guglielmo Vicario! Mathys Tel then had a good opportunity to score which he scuffed high and wide before Richarlison missed an absolute sitter from just a few yards out! In the Second Half, Morgan Gibbs-White had a great chance to score which he put just wide before Harry Toffolo pulled out a miraculous goal-line clearance. Matz Sels then pulled out a great save to deny Richarlison, and whilst the Brazilian was then able to get 1 back in the 87th minute, it still wasn’t enough for Tottenham to get anything from this game! In the end, Tottenham Hotspur had more than enough chances here! Spurs drop to 16th in the table and they head to Liverpool next time out! As for Nottingham Forest, this was a key win for them! Forest rise back to third in the league and they face Manchester City in the FA Cup Semi-Finals on Sunday before their next league game sees them host Brentford!

James Tarkowski came close to giving Everton the lead as his effort came back out off the post before Jake O’Brien pulled out a big block to stop Kevin De Bruyne from giving Manchester City the lead! In the Second Half, Stefan Ortega pulled out a great save to deny Jarrad Branthwaite before Jordan Pickford pulled out a decent save to keep Savinho’s effort out! Pickford then pulled out another important stop, this time to deny Omar Marmoush, before Manchester City finally had the lead in the 84th minute through Nico O’Reilly! And then, in the 92nd minute, Man City’s 3 points were wrapped up courtesy of a great finish by Mateo Kovacic! In the end, Everton had chances here, but they just didn’t take them! Aaron Ramsdale pulled out a pretty decent stop to keep Niclas Fullkrug’s early effort out before Kyle Walker-Peters had a great chance to score which he put just wide! Kamaldeen Sulemana then struck the crossbar for Southampton before, just 2 minutes into the Second Half, West Ham had the lead through Jarrod Bowen! Tyler Dibling then had a golden chance to score which he poorly blazed over the bar, but then, in the 93rd minute, Southampton would get their equaliser thanks to a great finish by Lesley Ugochukwu! In the end, this is a poor result for West Ham United! The Hammers stay 17th in the table and they head to Brighton on Saturday! As for Southampton, it’s a rare point for them! The Saints remain bottom of the league and they host Fulham next time out!

Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Another home game without a goal meant Leicester City’s Relegation was finally confirmed! Mohamed Salah had a great chance to give Liverpool the lead early on, but his effort struck both posts before Wilfred Ndidi struck the post himself! Mo Salah then had another opportunity to score which was kept out by Mads Hermansen before Leicester made a couple of crucial blocks to keep the game at 0-0! After both Mo Salah and Alexis Mac Allister both hit the woodwork, Liverpool finally had the lead in the 76th minute as Trent Alexander-Arnold fired home on the rebound! In the end, Leicester City’s Relegation has only been a matter of time if we’re being honest! The Foxes stay inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th) and they head to Wolves next time out! As for Liverpool, they’re only a game away now! The Reds remain top of the league and they look to wrap things up this Sunday against Tottenham!

Kobbie Mainoo had a half chance he failed to hit the target with before Jorgen Strand Larsen had a decent opportunity which he failed to hit the target with! In the Second Half, Bruno Fernandes had a good opportunity to score which he made an absolute mess of before, in the 77th minute, Wolves had the lead thanks to a fantastic free kick by Pablo Sarabia! Mason Mount then had 2 great chances to equalise for Manchester United, but he made a mess of both of them! In the end, it’s another defeat for Manchester United! United stay 14th in the league and they head to Bournemouth this Sunday! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, it’s another win for them! Wolves rise to 15th in the table and they host Leicester next time out!

Crystal Palace 0-0 Bournemouth

Dean Huijsen really should’ve put Bournemouth ahead early on, but he just wasn’t able to direct the ball goalwards before Alex Scott was very lucky not to receive a second Yellow Card! Amazingly, right before Halftime, Chris Richards was shown a second Yellow Card meaning Crystal Palace entered the Second Half a man down! This was some terrible refereeing in my opinion! In the Second Half, Bournemouth once again got away with their players not being sent off before the visitors failed to take any of their chances! In the end, Crystal Palace did well to get a point from this game given all the terrible refereeing decisions! The Eagles stay 12th in the table and they head to Arsenal tomorrow before their big FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on Saturday! As for AFC Bournemouth, this feels like 2 points dropped for them! The Cherries remain 8th in the league and they host Manchester United next time out!
