Another Erling Haaland hat-trick was enough for Manchester City to keep up their perfect start! After a mistake at the back, Erling Haaland capitalised with a nice finish to give Manchester City the lead after just 10 minutes. Kevin De Bruyne then came close a couple times (including hitting the post) before West Ham were level in the 19th minute thanks to a Ruben Dias own goal! In the 30th minute, Man City were back in front as Haaland scored his second with a thumping finish! In the Second Half, Mohammed Kudus came close to equalising as he smashed the woodwork before, in the 83rd minute, Erling Haaland superbly slotted the ball past Lukasz Fabianski to secure his second consecutive hat-trick! Aaron Ramsdale made a good save to deny Mikkel Damsgaard before Joe Aribo had a great chance which he could only hit the post with. Yoane Wissa then had a really good chance himself which he made a bit of a mess of before a mistake by Taylor Harwood-Bellis led to Bryan Mbeumo giving Brentford the lead just before Halftime! In the 65th minute, another mess at the back for Southampton led to Mbeumo scoring again before just 4 minutes later and it was 3-0 as Yoane Wissa got himself on the score sheet! However, in the 94th minute, there was at least something to smile about for the visiting fans as Yukinari Sugawara scored with a lovely finish! Overall, it’s another positive win for Brentford! The Bees rise to 6th in the league and their next game is a big test away at Manchester City! As for Southampton, they were a right mess here! The Saints now find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th) and they host Manchester United next time out.

Liverpool kept up their perfect start under Arne Slot with a 3-0 thrashing away at Manchester United! Trent Alexander-Arnold thought he’d given Liverpool the lead after just 7 minutes, but his goal was ruled out for an earlier offside before Liverpool did have the lead in the 35th minute through Luis Diaz. Casemiro made a complete mess of this! Just 7 minutes later and it was 2-0 as Diaz scored again with a great finish! In the Second Half, Alisson made a decent save to deny Joshua Zirkzee before Mohamed Salah slotted home nicely to make it 3-0 after 56! Joshua Zirkzee then had a golden chance which he couldn’t put past Alisson before Zirkzee had another good chance which he again missed with! In the end, Manchester United are a mess, it’s as simple as that! United drop to 14th in the table and their next game is a big one away at Southampton. As for Liverpool, what a start to the season it’s been for them! The Reds rise to second in the league and they host Nottingham Forest next time out!

Newcastle United picked up an important victory at home to Tottenham Hotspur! Alexander Isak almost scored a special goal as his dinked effort hit the crossbar before Newcastle took the lead in the 37th minute through a nice finish from Harvey Barnes! In the Second Half, a deflected cross nearly got Tottenham level as it came back off the crossbar before a silly Dan Burn own goal meant it was 1-1 after 56! Leicester 1-2 Aston Villa

Ollie Watkins had a couple of really good chances to give Aston Villa the lead early on, but he just couldn’t get the ball past Mads Hermansen. 27 minutes in though and Aston Villa were in front as Amadou Onana finished off what was a terrific set-piece move! In the Second Half, Jamie Vardy had a goal ruled out due to the ball hitting the referee earlier in the move before Jhon Duran scored with a great-headed finish to make it 2-0 to Villa! Facundo Buonanotte was able to get one back for Leicester in the 73rd minute, but it ultimately wasn’t enough! In the end, it’s another game without a win for Leicester City! The Foxes are now 15th in the table and they go to Crystal Palace next time out! As for Aston Villa, this was a good bounce-back win for them! Villa rise to 7th in the league and they host Everton after the International Break!

Arsenal 1-1 Brighton

Credit: BBC

There was nothing to separate Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion as both team’s unbeaten start to the season continued! Bukayo Saka had a great chance early on which he tamely struck at Bart Verbruggen before a silly defensive error from Lewis Dunk led to Kai Havertz giving Arsenal the lead after 38! Just 4 minutes into the Second Half and Arsenal were down to 10 men as Declan Rice was shown a second Yellow Card! I’ll be honest, I don’t get this decision! Less than 10 minutes later and it was 1-all as Joao Pedro followed up after David Raya’s initial save! Kai Havertz then had a great chance which was saved by Verbruggen before Verbruggen made another good save, this time to deny Bukayo Saka! In the end, Arsenal will be very disappointed with just a point from this game! The Gunners drop to 4th in the table and their next game is a massive one away at Tottenham! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they’ll be satisfied with this result! The Seagulls are now third in the league and they host Ipswich next time out!

Chelsea 1-1 Crystal Palace

Cole Palmer was unlucky as his effort whistled just round the post before Noni Madueke had a great opportunity which he poorly put wide! Madueke then had another great chance which Dean Henderson somehow managed to save onto the crossbar before Chelsea finally had the lead in the 25th minute through Nicolas Jackson! In the Second Half, Will Hughes somehow got away without receiving a second Yellow card before Dean Henderson was back to stop Cole Palmer’s free-kick effort from going in! Just 8 minutes into the Second Half and it was 1-1 as Eberechi Eze levelled for Crystal Palace with a great finish! Daichi Kamada then had a good opportunity which he hit straight at Robert Sanchez before Nicolas Jackson had a couple of good chances to win it which he just couldn’t take! In the end, Chelsea will be disappointed with this result! The Blues drop to 11th in the league and their next game sees them go to Bournemouth! As for Crystal Palace, they’ve finally managed to get a point on the board! The Eagles are now 16th in the table and they host Leicester next time out!

Ipswich 1-1 Fulham

Ipswich Town managed to hold off Fulham to pick up their first point of the season! After just 15 minutes, it was Ipswich who found themselves in front through a great strike from Liam Delap! Delap then had a golden chance to make it 2-0 which he poorly headed just wide before Fulham were level in the 32nd minute thanks to Adama Traore! Rodrigo Muniz then had a great opportunity to give Fulham the lead, but he headed the ball too close to Arijanet Muric before Muric made another decent save, this time to deny Raul Jimenez. Omari Hutchinson then had the opportunity to win it for Ipswich, but he couldn’t guide the ball past Bernd Leno! In the end, it’s a decent point first point of the new season for Ipswich Town! The Tractor Boys are now 17th in the table and they go to Brighton next time out! As for Fulham, they would’ve hoped for more from this game! The Cottagers drop to 12th place and they host West Ham after the International Break!

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Wolves

Credit: SportsMax

Rayan Ait Nouri had a good chance for Wolves right from the off which he just couldn’t quite squeeze into the back of the net before Nottingham Forest had the lead after just 10 minutes through Chris Wood. I honestly have no idea what Sam Johnstone was doing here! Anyway, just 2 minutes later and it was 1-all as Jean-Ricner Bellegarde equalised with a smashing strike! In the Second Half, Elliot Anderson’s effort deflected just over the bar before Sam Johnstone made up for his earlier mistake to pull off a good save to deny Chris Wood a second! Both teams also wanted a penalty in this game, but neither of them got it so that was all fair! In the end, Nottingham Forest head into the International Break still unbeaten! Forest are now 9th in the league and they go to Liverpool next time out! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, it’s good that they’ve got something on the board! Wolves remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th) and their next game is a big one at home to Newcastle!
