Ipswich 0-6 Manchester City
Manchester City found some style again as they romped 6 past Ipswich Town! Erling Haaland had a great opportunity to score which was saved well by Christian Walton before Manchester City had the lead in the 27th minute through Phil Foden! Just 3 minutes later, and it was 2-0 to Man City as Mateo Kovacic fired home! In the 42nd minute, it was 3-0 as Foden scored again before Jeremy Doku made it 4-0 after just 49! After a terrible pass from Jack Clarke, City eventually scored through Erling Haaland before James McAtee scored in the 69th minute to make it Ipswich 0, Manchester City 6! In the end, this is not a good look for Ipswich Town! The Tractor Boys remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th) and things aren’t going to get any easier as they head to Liverpool next time out! As for Manchester City, this was better from them! City rise to 5th in the league and they face a massive week ahead away at PSG and at home against Chelsea!
Newcastle 1-4 Bournemouth
Newcastle United’s winning run came to an end as they got thumped by a terrific AFC Bournemouth! Martin Dubravka managed to pull out a good save to keep Sango Ouattara’s effort out before Bournemouth had the lead after just 6 minutes through Justin Kluivert! In the 25th minute, Newcastle were back on level terms as Kepa Arrizabalaga failed to keep out the header of Bruno Guimaraes! Just before Halftime, and Bournemouth were back in front as Kluivert scored again after Newcastle gave away the ball far too cheaply! And then, in the 92nd minute, Justin Kluivert completed his hat-trick with a terrific long-range effort before Milos Kerkez made it 4-1 in the 96th! In the end, this was not on Newcastle United’s bingo card! The Magpies drop to 6th in the league and they head to Southampton next time out! As for AFC Bournemouth, what a sensational win this is for them! The Cherries rise to 7th in the table and their next game is a huge one at home to Nottingham Forest!
Nottingham Forest 3-2 Southampton
After just 11 minutes, Nottingham Forest had the lead as Elliot Anderson smashed the ball home! After 28 minutes, it was 2-0 as Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a nice goal before Chris Wood headed home well to make it 3-0 after just 41 minutes! Aaron Ramsdale and Jan Bednarek then combined well to stop the game from going to 4-0 before Bednarek scored to make it 3-1 after 60! Nikola Milenkovic then thought he’d made it 4-1, but it was ruled out for an offside that is honestly one of the worst decisions I’ve seen all season! In the 91st minute, it was 3-2 as Paul Onuachu headed another one back before Ola Aina pulled out a world-class goal-line clearance to deny the visitors a point! Overall, it’s a win for Nottingham Forest, but only just! Forest remain third in the table and their next game is a big one away at Bournemouth! As for Southampton, they were so close here to maybe giving themselves a slither of hope! The Saints remain bottom of the league and they host Newcastle next time out!
Everton 3-2 Tottenham
Everton picked up their first win in David Moyes’ second spell in charge as Tottenham Hotspur lost yet again! After just 13 minutes, it was Everton who took the lead as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a much-needed goal! Heung-Min Son then had a great chance to equalise which he struck tamely at Jordan Pickford before Antonin Kinsky made a great save to tip Orel Mangala’s effort onto the post! In the 30th minute, Iliman Ndiaye made it 2-0 with a great solo run and finish, but the defending from Radu Dragusin was absolutely awful! In the 7th minute of additional time at the end of the First Half, it was 3-0 to Everton as Archie Gray put the ball into the back of his own net! In the 77th minute, Tottenham were able to get one back thanks to a great finish by Dejan Kulusevski before Richarlison got another one back in the 92nd! Overall, this is better from Everton! The Toffees remain 16th in the table and they head to Brighton next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they’re a mess right now! Spurs drop to 15th in the league and they go to Hoffenheim Thursday Night before they face a must-win game at home against Leicester!
Manchester United 1-3 Brighton
After just 5 minutes, Brighton had the lead through Yankuba Minteh! A couple of mistakes from Brighton at the back then resulted in Manchester United being awarded a penalty, and it was Bruno Fernandes who stepped up and scored to make it 1-1 after 23! Joao Pedro then thought he’d restored Brighton’s lead in the 53rd minute, but his goal was ruled out for a foul before Brighton did have the lead back in the 60th minute through Kaoru Mitoma! The ball across from Minteh was absolutely superb! And then, in the 76th minute, Georginio Rutter sealed all 3 points for the visitors after a shocking mistake by Andre Onana! In the end, it’s another poor performance from Manchester United! United drop to 13th in the table and they host Rangers on Thursday Night before they head to Fulham on Sunday! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, this is a good win for them! The Seagulls remain 9th in the league and they host Everton next time out!
Chelsea 3-1 Wolves
After Matt Doherty saved Wolves from conceding a pretty horrendous goal, it was Chelsea who found themselves in front in the 24th minute through Tosin Adarabioyo! In the 5th minute of additional time at the end of the First Half, Wolves were level as Matt Doherty poked home from close range after some poor goalkeeping by Robert Sanchez! In the 60th minute, Chelsea were back in front through Marc Cucurella before Noni Madueke made it 3-1 just 5 minutes later! Overall, it’s finally a win for Chelsea! The Blues rise to 4th in the league and their next game is a big one away at Manchester City! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they were simply second best here! Wolves stay 17th in the table and they host Arsenal next time out!
Arsenal 2-2 Aston Villa
Despite being 2-0 up, Arsenal couldn’t hold on as Aston Villa left the Emirates with a share of the points! After 35 minutes, it was Arsenal who took the lead as Gabriel Martinelli scored after Emiliano Martinez failed to keep the ball from crossing the line! In the 55th minute, it was 2-0 to Arsenal as Kai Havertz scored after Emi Martinez again failed to keep the ball from going in! In the 60th minute, Aston Villa had one back through Youri Tielemans before Tielemans came close again as he smashed the post! In the 68th minute, it was 2-2 as Ollie Watkins scored after a terrific ball in from Matty Cash! Arsenal then thought they’d won it late, but the goal was ruled out for a clear handball by Kai Havertz before Mikel Merino struck the post! In the end, it’s more dropped points for Arsenal! The Gunners remain second in the league and they host Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday before they head to Wolves for their next league fixture! As for Aston Villa, this is a good point for them! Villa drop to 8th in the table and they take on Monaco tonight before they host West Ham on Sunday!
Brentford 0-2 Liverpool
2 late, late goals from Darwin Nunez allowed Liverpool to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League! Brentford had a great chance to open the scoring early on, but Mikkel Damsgaard failed to make contact with the ball before Dominik Szoboszlai smashed the crossbar! Cody Gakpo then had a really good chance to score which he completely missed the target with before Trent Alexander-Arnold came close to giving Liverpool the lead! And then, in the 91st minute, Darwin Nunez scored to give Liverpool a late lead before Nunez scored again just 2 minutes later to finish the game off completely! In the end, Brentford were close here! The Bees stay 11th in the table and they head to Crystal Palace next time out! As for Liverpool, this is a big win for them! The Reds remain top of the league and they host Lille and Ipswich in their upcoming week!
Leicester 0-2 Fulham
After 48 minutes, Fulham had the lead as Emile Smith Rowe headed home from close range! In the 68th minute, it was 2-0 as Adama Traore finished well, and this is honestly one of the worst games I have ever seen! In the end, this was a pathetic display from Leicester City! The Foxes stay inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th) and they head to Tottenham next time out! As for Fulham, a win is a win! The Cottagers remain 10th in the league and their next game sees them host Manchester United on Sunday!
West Ham 0-2 Crystal Palace
After 48 minutes, it was Crystal Palace who took the lead thanks to a strong strike by Jean-Philippe Mateta! Things then got worse for West Ham as Konstantinos Mavropanos was sent off for a second Yellow Card before Crystal Palace were awarded a penalty after Lukasz Fabianski wiped out Ismaila Sarr! It was then Jean-Philippe Mateta who stepped up and scored to seal all 3 points for Palace! In the end, it’s another poor performance from West Ham United! The Hammers drop to 14th in the table and they go to Aston Villa on Sunday! As for Crystal Palace, it’s another win and clean sheet for them! The Eagles soar to 12th in the league and they host Brentford next time out!
