West Ham 3-2 Fulham
Graham Potter’s first Premier League game in charge of West Ham United resulted in a positive 3-2 win over Fulham! After 31 minutes, a terrible pass from Andreas Pereira led to West Ham taking the lead through Carlos Soler! Less than 2 minutes, and it was 2-0 to West Ham as Tomas Soucek scored from close range! 6 minutes into the Second Half, and Fulham had one back through Alex Iwobi (who was actually crossing the ball rather than shooting) before West Ham had a third in the 67th minute through Lucas Paqueta. What on earth was Bernd Leno doing here?! Amazingly, in the 78th minute, Alex Iwobi scored from another cross, and I’ve honestly never seen anything like this before! And then, in additional time at the end of the game, Adama Traore had a golden chance to equalise for the visitors, but he smashed the ball well over the crossbar! Overall, it’s a win for West Ham United which is honestly all that matters right now! The Hammers rise to 13th in the table and they host Crystal Palace tomorrow! As for Fulham, this was such a mess from them! The Cottagers drop to 10th in the league and they go to Leicester next time out!
Manchester United 3-1 Southampton
A late Amad hat-trick helped Manchester United get over the line against Southampton! Andre Onana made a really good double save after Mateus Fernandes really should’ve scored before Southampton had the lead just a couple of minutes before Halftime thanks to a Manuel Ugarte own goal! In the Second Half, Kamaldeen Sulemana created a great opportunity for himself which he just couldn’t finish off Antony had a golden opportunity to equalise which he somehow missed! Aaron Ramsdale then made a good save to deny Bruno Fernandes before Manchester United finally had an equaliser in the 82nd minute through Amad! In the 90th minute, it was 2-1 to Man United as Diallo scored again following a great pass from Christian Eriksen before, in the 94th minute, Amad completed a rather remarkable hat-trick to seal all 3 points for United! Overall, Manchester United have got one man and one man only to thank! United rise to 12th in the table and they host Brighton next time out! As for Southampton, nothing is going right for them! The Saints remain bottom of the league and their next game sees them head to Nottingham Forest!
Brentford 2-2 Manchester City
Despite being 2-0 up, Manchester City couldn’t get the job done as Brentford came back to take a share of the points! Erling Haaland had a half chance to give Manchester City the lead which was comfortably saved by Mark Flekken before Savinho went on a great solo run which ended up with him striking the post! In the 66th minute, Manchester City did finally have the lead as Phil Foden finished well after a terrific ball in from Kevin De Bruyne! In the 78th minute, it was 2-0 to Man City as Foden scored again to all but secure the win for the visitors! However, just 4 minutes later, it was 2-1 as Yoane Wissa got a goal back before Christian Norgaard scored a dramatic late equaliser in the 92nd! Brentford even could’ve won the game at the end through Bryan Mbeumo, but Nathan Ake pulled out a terrific goal-line clearance! In the end, this is a positive point for Brentford! The Bees remain 11th in the table and they take on Liverpool tomorrow! As for Manchester City, this was such a cockup from them! City remain 6th in the league and they go to Ipswich next time out!
Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth
A dramatic Chelsea equaliser was enough to sting AFC Bournemouth! After just 13 minutes, Chelsea had the lead as Cole Palmer netted once again! Early in the Second Half, Bournemouth were awarded a penalty after Moises Caicedo took out Antoine Semenyo, and it was Justin Kluivert who stepped up and scored to level the game up at 1-1! In the 68th minute, it was Bournemouth who had the lead as Antoine Semenyo smashed the ball home! However, in the 95th minute, Chelsea managed to get their equaliser as Reece James scored a really good free kick! In the end, it’s still not a great result for Chelsea! The Blues remain 5th in the league and their next game sees them host Wolves on Monday Night Football! As for AFC Bournemouth, this will hurt a lot! The Cherries drop to 8th in the table and they head to Newcastle next time out!
Newcastle 3-0 Wolves
Jose Sa managed to pull out a really good save to stop Jacob Murphy from scoring before Newcastle had the lead in the 34th minute through Alexander Isak! This shot did take a big deflection off of Rayan Ait Nouri though! Jorgen Strand Larsen then came close to equalising as his effort clipped the side of the post before Newcastle’s lead was doubled in the 57th minute as Isak scored again! My oh my was the defending bad here! In the 74th minute, it was 3-0 as Anthony Gordon finished relatively easily before Santiago Beuno thought he’d scored his first goal for Wolves, only for it to be ruled out for handball! Overall, it’s yet another win for Newcastle United! The Magpies remain 4th in the league and their next game is a big one at home to Bournemouth! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they didn’t take their chances here! Wolves remain 17th in the table and they go to Chelsea next time out!
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
Arsenal edged out North London Rivals Tottenham Hotspur to “reignite” their Title challenge! Radu Dragusin pulled out a great block to stop Leandro Trossard from giving Arsenal the lead before Dejan Kulusevski had a great chance to score which was saved by David Raya! In the 25th minute, it was Tottenham who found themselves in front thanks to a nice finish (plus a deflection) by Heung-Min Son! In the 40th minute, the game was all square again as Dominic Solanke ultimately scored an own goal following a Gabriel header! Just 4 minutes, and it was 2-1 to Arsenal as Leandro Trossard scored after some questionable goalkeeping by Antonin Kinsky! Right at the end of the game, Tottenham nearly got an equalising goal as Pedro Porro smashed the outside of the post! Overall, this is an important win for Arsenal! The Gunners remain second in the league and they host Aston Villa in a big game tomorrow! As for Tottenham, it’s yet another league defeat for them! Spurs drop to 14th in the table and they go to Everton next time out!
Ipswich 0-2 Brighton
Bart Verbruggen made a decent save to push Nathan Broadhead’s effort wide before Verbruggen made another save, this time to deny Omari Hutchinson! In the 59th minute, it was Brighton who had the lead as Kaoru Mitoma scored after Christian Walton really should’ve kept it out! Walton then made up for it a little bit with a great save to deny Joao Pedro before Brighton had their second in the 81st minute through Georginio Rutter! In the end, it’s not the result that Ipswich Town were looking for! The Tractor Boys remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th) and their next game is a huge one at home to Manchester City! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they needed this win! The Seagulls rise to 9th in the league and they go to Manchester United next time out!
Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace
Jamie Vardy had a great chance to give Leicester the lead which he smashed straight at Dean Henderson before Jean-Philippe Mateta had a great chance to score which he poorly blasted well over the crossbar! 7 minutes into the Second Half, and Crystal Palace had the lead as Jean-Philippe Mateta finished well after a great ball through from Ismaila Sarr! Boubakary Soumare was then unlucky not to equalise as his effort struck the crossbar before Palace sealed all 3 points in the 78th-minute courtesy of Marc Guehi! In the end, it’s yet another loss for Leicester City! The Foxes remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th) and they host Fulham tomorrow! As for Crystal Palace, their good run of form continues! The Eagles remain 15th in the table and they go to West Ham next time out!
Nottingham Forest 1-1 Liverpool
In a battle between two of the best teams in the league, Nottingham Forest and Liverpool both had to settle for a share of the points! After less than 8 minutes, Nottingham Forest had the lead as Chris Wood finished well! In the 66th minute, it was 1-1 as Diogo Jota headed home from his first touch of the ball after a terrific double substitution from Arne Slot! Matz Sels then pulled off a great save to deny Jota a second goal before Mo Salah had a couple of chances which he just couldn’t quite take! In the end, Nottingham Forest can be proud of their efforts! Forest remain third in the table and they host Southampton next time out! As for Liverpool, this is an alright result for them! The Reds remain top of the league and they head to Brentford tomorrow!
Everton 0-1 Aston Villa
David Moyes’ first game back in charge of Everton didn’t quite go to plan as Aston Villa picked up a really positive 3 points! After a terrible back pass from Ashley Young, Ollie Watkins had a great chance to give Aston Villa the lead which he guided wide of the target before Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a good opportunity which he also dragged wide! Calvert-Lewin then had another good chance to score, but his effort was stopped on the line by Boubacar Kamara before Jacob Ramsey had a great chance which he somehow struck wide! Just 6 minutes into the Second Half, and we finally had the first goal of the game as Ollie Watkins scored to fire Aston Villa in front! Dominic Calvert-Lewin then had another great chance to equalise in additional time, but he poorly made a mess of it! In the end, it’s not the perfect reunion that David Moyes was looking for! The Toffees remain 16th in the table and they host Tottenham next time out! As for Aston Villa, this is a great win for them! Villa rise to 7th in the league and their next game is a big one away at Arsenal!
