Tottenham 3-6 Liverpool
Liverpool picked up a massive 3 points before Christmas with a 6-3 thumping at Tottenham! After 23 minutes, Liverpool had the lead as Luis Diaz headed home nicely before Alexis Mac Allister made it 2-0 with a header of his own! In the 41st minute, Tottenham were on the scoresheet through James Maddison, but just 5 minutes later and it was 3-1 as Dominik Szoboszlai finished coolly! In the 54th minute, it was 4-1 to the visitors as Mohamed Salah found the back of the net before Salah scored again to make it 5-1 after just 61 minutes! In the 72nd minute, Dejan Kulusevski got one back for Spurs before Dominic Solanke made it 5-3 in the 83rd minute! However, just 2 minutes later, and it was officially game over as Luis Diaz netted for the second time! In the end, this was another mess of a game involving Tottenham Hotspur! Spurs drop to 11th in the table and their next game is a tough one away at Nottingham Forest! As for Liverpool, it’s another great win for them! The Reds remain top of the league and they host Leicester next time out!
Crystal Palace 1-5 Arsenal
It was a 5-star display for the visitors as Arsenal smashed Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park! After just 6 minutes, Arsenal had the lead as Gabriel Jesus found the back of the net! Just 5 minutes later, though, and it was 1-all as Ismaila Sarr finished superbly! However, just another 3 minutes later and Arsenal were back in front as Jesus scored again! Jean-Philippe Mateta then had a great opportunity to score which was saved by David Raya before Gabriel should’ve scored after he guided his headed effort onto the crossbar! Arsenal then had their third in the 38th minute through Kai Havertz (after Gabriel Jesus hit the post) before Gabriel Martinelli made it 4-1 (as Jesus missed another chance to seal his hat-trick)! And then, in the 84th minute, Declan Rice finished the game off completely with a great curling effort! In the end, this is a terrible day for Crystal Palace! The Eagles drop to 16th in the table and they go to Bournemouth on Boxing Day! As for Arsenal, this is a great result for them! The Gunners remain third in the league and they host Ipswich next time out!
Ipswich 0-4 Newcastle
After just 26 seconds, Newcastle had the lead through Alexander Isak! Anthony Gordon then had a great chance to make it 2-0 which he failed to hit the target with before Isak had another good chance which he poorly struck into the hands of Arijanet Muric! In the 32nd minute, Newcastle finally had their second through Jacob Murphy before Isak made it 3-0 in additional time at the end of the First Half after Ipswich made an absolute mess of it at the back! In the Second Half, Bruno Guimaraes was unlucky as his headed effort hit the outside of the post before Alexander Isak completed his hat trick with a clever finish! In the end, it’s another bad home day for Ipswich Town! The Tractor Boys remain inside the Relegation Zone (now in 19th) and they head to Arsenal next time out! As for Newcastle United, it’s been a great week for them! The Magpies rise to 8th in the league and their next game is a big one at home to Aston Villa on Boxing Day!
Manchester United 0-3 Bournemouth
Manchester United’s woes continued as AFC Bournemouth continue to march up the table! In the 29th minute, Bournemouth had he lead as Dean Huijsen headed home well! Bruno Fernandes then had a good opportunity which was saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga before Bournemouth were awarded a penalty in the Second Half after Noussair Mazraoui brought down Justin Kluivert, and it was Kluivert who stepped up and scored to make it 2-0 after 61! And then, just 2 minutes later, it was 3-0 as Antoine Semenyo sealed all 3 points for the visitors! In the end, Manchester United continue to be a bit of a mess! United remain 13th in the table and their next game is a must-win away at Wolves! As for AFC Bournemouth, they’re absolutely flying right now! The Cherries rise to 5th in the league and they host Crystal Palace next time out!
Leicester 0-3 Wolves
Vitor Periera got off to a perfect start as Wolverhampton Wanderers Manager with a 3-0 thrashing away at Leicester City! After just 19 minutes, Wolves had the lead as Goncalo Guedes finished well! In the 36th minute, it was 2-0 as Rodrigo Gomes scored after a terrible bit of judgment from James Justin! Jamie Vardy then had a good opportunity to get one back which was blocked well by Toti Gomes before Wolves had their third just before Halftime through Matheus Cunha! Once again, the goalkeeping needs to be questioned! In the Second Half, Wolves had multiple good opportunities to extend their lead, but they failed to take their chances! In the end, this was poor from Leicester City! The Foxes remain 17th in the table and they head to Liverpool on Boxing Day! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, what a start this is for Vitor Periera! Wolves remain inside the Relegation Zone (now in 18th though) and they host Manchester United next time out!
Aston Villa 2-1 Manchester City
After a poor mistake by Josko Gvardiol, Jhon Duran had a good opportunity inside 15 seconds which he took far too early before Stefan Ortega pulled off an unbelievable save to tip Pau Torres’ headed effort onto the crossbar! Just 16 minutes in, though, and Aston Villa did have the lead as Jhon Duran slotted home coolly! Josko Gvardiol then had a great chance to equalise which he poorly headed over before Duran finished nicely again, but this time he was offside! Morgan Rogers then had a great chance to score which he hit the post with before Rogers did find the back of the net in the 65th minute to make it 2-0 to Villa! City were then able to get one back in the 93rd minute through Phil Foden, but it was all too late for them! Overall, this is a really positive win for Aston Villa! Villa rise to 6th in the league and their next game is a big one away at Newcastle! As for Manchester City, nothing is getting better for them at the moment! City drop to 7th in the table and they host Everton next time out!
Brentford 0-2 Nottingham Forest
Brentford’s unbeaten home run came to an end as Nottingham Forest continue to soar! Matz Sels made a decent save to keep Mikkel Damsgaard’s effort out before Yoane Wissa lobbed his effort just over the bar! Chris Wood then had a good opportunity to score which was saved by Mark Flekken before Nottingham Forest had the lead in the 38th minute through Ola Aina! This was a nice finish! And then, in the 51st minute, Anthony Elanga finished brilliantly to double Forest’s advantage! In the end, Brentford’s amazing home run has finally come to an end! The Bees drop to 12th in the table and they go to Brighton next time out! As for Nottingham Forest, it’s another terrific win for them! Forest remain 4th in the league and they host Tottenham on Boxing Day!
West Ham 1-1 Brighton
After literally nothing happened in the First Half, Brighton had the lead in the 51st minute through Mats Wieffer! Lukasz Fabianski really should’ve done better here! Just 7 minutes later, though, and it was 1-1 as Mohammed Kudus headed home on the rebound! Brighton then had a great chance to retake the lead which somehow fumbled its way back off the post before Pervis Estupinan really should’ve been sent off! In the end, West Ham United will be the happier of the two sides here! The Hammers remain 14th in the table and they head to Southampton on Boxing Day! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, things are just not going clicking for them at the moment! The Seagulls drop to 10th in the league and they host Brentford next time out!
Everton 0-0 Chelsea
Chelsea dropped two points as Everton picked up another 0-0 draw! Nicolas Jackson had a really good opportunity to make it 1-0 which he struck straight at Jordan Pickford before Jackson had another great opportunity which he somehow hit the post from! In the Second Half, Jack Harrison had a really good chance to give Everton the lead which was saved well by Robert Sanchez before Tosin Adarabioyo pulled out a terrific block to deny Iliman Ndiaye! In the end, it’s a decent point for Everton, but they definitely had chances to win it! The Toffees rise to 15th in the table and they head to Manchester City next time out! As for Chelsea, this is definitely 2 points dropped! The Blues remain second in the league and their next game is a big one at home to Fulham!
Fulham 0-0 Southampton
Aaron Ramsdale did well to tip Alex Iwobi’s effort around the post before Adam Armstrong had a decent opportunity which he tamely struck at Bernd Leno! Aaron Ramsdale then made another great save, this time to deny Harry Wilson before Adama Traore came within a whisker of giving Fulham the lead! In the end, this is a disappointing result for Fulham! The Cottagers drop to 9th in the table and they go to Chelsea on Boxing Day! As for Southampton, they’ll take this! The Saints remain bottom of the league and they host West Ham next time out!
