A five-star performance from Tottenham Hotspur resulted in Russell Martin being sacked by Southampton! After just 37 seconds, Tottenham had the lead as James Maddison slotted home well! In the 12th minute, it was 2-0 as Heung-Min Son slotted home well before Dejan Kulusevski made it 3-0 to Tottenham just 2 minutes later! In the 25th minute, it was 4-0 as Pape Sarr found the back of the net before Adam Armstrong had a good opportunity which he put wide! In the 4th minute of additional time at the end of the First Half, Spurs had 5 as James Maddison smashed home superbly! Brennan Johnson did then have a great chance to make it 6-0 at the end of the game, but he poorly guided his shot off target! In the end, it’s another absolute shocker from Southampton and it’s no surprise that Russell Martin is out the door! The Saints remain bottom of the league and they host Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday before they head to Fulham on Sunday! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they’ll be hoping that this boosts their confidence a little! Spurs rise to 10th in the table and they have a big week with home matches against Manchester United (Carabao Cup) and then Liverpool!

Newcastle 4-0 Leicester

Dan Burn had a good opportunity to score which he headed over before Jacob Murphy had a good opportunity which he poorly placed wide! However, in the 30th minute, Murphy finished well to give Newcastle the lead! Alexander Isak then had a great chance to score which he rather tamely struck straight at Mads Hermansen before Bruno Guimaraes probably should’ve been sent off for a nasty-looking challenge! Anyway, just 2 minutes into the Second Half and it was 2-0 to Newcastle as Guimaraes found the back of the net before Alexander Isak made it 3-0 just 3 minutes later! And then, in the 60th minute, Jacob Murphy scored again to wrap up a great victory for the hosts! Overall, this is much more like it from Newcastle United! The Magpies remain 12th in the league and they host Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday before they go to Ipswich on the weekend! As for Leicester City, they were completely outplayed here! The Foxes drop to 17th in the table and they host Wolves (in a big game) next time out!

Brighton 1-3 Crystal Palace

Credit: BBC

Crystal Palace kept their positive run of form going with a great win away at Rivals Brighton and Hove Albion! In the 27th minute, Crystal Palace found themselves in front as Trevoh Chalobah scored after some woeful defending by Brighton! Just 6 minutes later, and it was 2-0 to Palace as Ismaila Sarr headed home after some more questionable defending! In the Second Half, Lewis Dunk had a great opportunity to get one back which was saved well by Dean Henderson before Henderson pulled out another really good save, this time to deny Julio Enciso! In the 82nd minute, Palace had their third as Ismaila Sarr scored again after you guessed it, some more terrible defending! Brighton were at least able to get one back through a Marc Guehi own goal, but it didn’t affect the outcome at all! In the end, this was a poor performance from Brighton and Hove Albion! The Seagulls drop to 9th in the league and they go to West Ham next time out! As for Crystal Palace, this is a terrific win for them! The Eagles rise to 15th in the table and they face Arsenal twice in the next 7 days (away in the Cup, at home in the League)!

Liverpool 2-2 Fulham

Credit: Sky Sports

Despite being down to 10 men for most of the game, Liverpool managed to come away with a point against a disappointed Fulham side! After just 11 minutes, Fulham found themselves in front through a great volley by Andreas Pereira! Things then got worse for Liverpool just 6 minutes later as Andy Robertson was shown a straight Red Card for being the last defender! Just 2 minutes into the Second Half, though, and Liverpool were level as Cody Gakpo headed home after a terrific ball in from Mohamed Salah! In the 76th minute, Fulham were back in front as Rodrigo Muniz finished with a well-timed flick! Harvey Elliott then came within a whisker of making it 2-2 with a curling effort before, in the 86th minute, Liverpool were back on level terms through a lovely goal by Diogo Jota! In the end, this is actually a decent point for Liverpool all things considered! The Reds remain top of the league and they face away trips to Southampton (in the Cup) and Tottenham (in the League) in the next week! As for Fulham, they’ll be kicking themselves here! The Cottagers rise to 8th in the table, however, and they host Southampton next time out!

Manchester City 1-2 Manchester United

A dramatic late comeback from Manchester United handed Manchester City yet another defeat! After 36 minutes, Manchester City had the lead as Josko Gvardiol headed home after a fortunate deflection on the cross! Kyle Walker then fell on the floor like an absolute baby (again, how is he Man City’s Captain) before Ederson made a good save to keep Amad’s header out! Bruno Fernandes then had a golden chance to equalise which he dinked wide of the target before a terrible back pass from Matheus Nunes was made even worse when he decided to wipe out Amad! Bruno Fernandes then stepped up and converted from 12 yards to make it 1-1 with just 2 minutes left on the clock! And then, in the 90th minute, Amad finished superbly to gift a shock Derby Day victory for United! In the end, Manchester City are just a complete and utter shambles right now! City drop to 5th in the league and they go to Aston Villa next time out! As for Manchester United, this could be big for them! United remain 13th in the table and they take on Tottenham and Bournemouth in the next 7 days!

Nottingham Forest 2-1 Aston Villa

Credit: beIN SPORTS

Another late, late show saw Nottingham Forest pick up a massive 3 points over Aston Villa! Aston Villa really should’ve had a penalty after Elliot Anderson pulled back Morgan Rogers, but nothing was given before Nicolas Dominguez was denied by a sensational save by Emiliano Martinez! In the 63rd minute, Aston Villa found themselves in front as Jhon Duran headed home terrifically! Nottingham Forest then thought they’d got one back through Chris Wood only for the goal to be ruled out for offside, but in the 87th minute, Forest were level through Nikola Milenkovic! Emi Martinez really should’ve saved this! And then, in the 93rd minute, Anthony Elanga scored to nick a dramatic 3 points for the hosts! However, in my opinion, there was a clear foul on Matty Cash! Overall, what a win for Nottingham Forest this is! Forest rise to 4th in the league and they go to Brentford next time out! As for Aston Villa, they definitely have valid reasons to feel hard done by here! Villa drop to 7th in the table and their next game is a big one at home to Manchester City!

Wolves 1-2 Ipswich

Credit: The Independent

Another super late goal earnt Ipswich Town a massive 3 points against an all-out of sorts Wolverhampton Wanderers! Whilst Matt Doherty initial pulled out a terrific goal-line block, an unfortunate deflection off of the Wolves player resulted in an own goal to put Ipswich in front inside 15 minutes! Jean-Ricner Bellegarde then had a great opportunity to score which he poorly blazed off target before Sam Johnstone made a good save to deny Wes Burns! Liam Delap then had a golden opportunity to double Ipswich’s lead which he poorly kneed wide before Wolves were finally level in the 72nd minute through Matheus Cunha! Jorgen Strand Larsen then had a decent opportunity to score which he put just wide before, in the 94th minute, Jack Taylor headed home to seal a dramatic late winner for the visitors! In the end, it’s an absolute disaster from a Wolverhampton Wanderers point of view, and it’s ultimately resulted in Gary O’Neil being sacked! Wolves remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th) and their next match is a huge one away at Leicester! As for Ipswich Town, this is massive for them! The Tractor Boys remain in 18th spot and they host Newcastle next time out!

Chelsea 2-1 Brentford

Credit: Chelsea Football Club

With just a couple of minutes left in the First Half, Chelsea had the lead courtesy of Marc Cucurella! The ball in from Noni Madueke is great, and Cucurella’s headed finish is top-tier! In the Second Half, Nicolas Jackson somehow managed to miss an absolute sitter from close range before Robert Sanchez made a great save to deny Christian Norgaard! Fabio Carvalho then came within a whisker of finding Brentford an equaliser as his effort came crashing off the crossbar before Chelsea had their second through a nice finish from Nicolas Jackson! However, the game wasn’t done there as Bryan Mbeumo got one back for Brentford in the 90th minute before Marc Cucurella was sent off after the game was over! Overall, it’s another positive 3 points for Chelsea! The Blues remain second in the league and they take on Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Europa Conference League Thursday Night before they head to Everton! As for Brentford, they just didn’t quite take their chances! The Bees drop to 11th in the table and they face a big week away at Newcastle (in the Cup) and at home against Nottingham Forest (in the league)!

Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham

Credit: beIN SPORTS

Antonie Semenyo was unlucky to not give Bournemouth the lead as his effort clipped the post and went wide before Jarrod Bowen smashed the crossbar! Dango Ouattara then had a golden chance to score which was somehow saved by Lukasz Fabianski before Fabianski made another great save, this time to deny Ryan Christie! West Ham were then awarded a penalty late on after a Tyler Adams handball, and it was Lucas Paqueta who stepped up and scored to make it 1-0 with just 3 minutes left in the game! However, in the 90th minute, Enes Unal converted a sensational free-kick attempt to rescue a dramatic late point for Bournemouth! In the end, it’s not the result that AFC Bournemouth were hoping for, but it’s better than a loss! The Cherries rise to 6th in the league and their next game is a big one away at Manchester United! As for West Ham United, they’ll be gutted to come away from this game without all 3 points! The Hammers remain 14th in the table and they host Brighton next time out!

Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Credit: Evening Standard

Gabriel pulled out a great block to stop Abdoulaye Doucoure from potentially scoring before Martin Odegaard had a good opportunity which he dragged wide! Odegaard then had another good opportunity which was saved by Jordan Pickford before Pickford pulled out an even better save, this time to deny Bukayo Saka! In the end, it’s another 2 points dropped for Arsenal! The Gunners remain third in the league and they take on Crystal Palace twice in the next week (at home in the Cup, away in the League)! As for Everton, this is a pretty good point for them! The Toffees remain 16th in the table and they host Chelsea next time out!
