2023 NFL Week 8 Preview and Predictions: Part 1

(3-3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills (4-3)

This week’s Thursday Night Football should be a decent one as the Buffalo Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buffalo Bills suffered a disappointing loss at Division Rivals New England last week and they currently sit second in the AFC East with a record of 4-3. As for Tampa Bay, they also suffered a disappointing loss at home to the Atlanta Falcons and they are currently second in the NFC South with a decent 3-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m picking The Bills to bounce back with a big win. Realistically, Buffalo should be more than good enough to defeat The Bucs.

(3-4) Los Angeles Rams @ Dallas Cowboys (4-2)

Off the back of a Bye Week, the Dallas Cowboys retain to action sitting second in the NFC East with a decent 4-2 record. As for LA, they suffered a 24-17 loss at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers and they are currently third in the NFC West with a record of 3-4. In terms of my Prediction, I fully expect Dallas to win this game. It might be a close one, but I would be very surprised if The Rams were able to pick up the W.

(3-4) Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers (2-4)

The Green Bay Packers suffered their third successive loss last week (at the hands of the Denver Broncos) and they are currently third in the NFC North with a not great 2-4 record. As for Minnesota, they picked up a brilliant victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football and they currently sit second in the NFC North with a 3-4 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to back The Vikings to win at Lambeau. Minnesota are the better team for me and they are certainly playing like the better team right now.

(4-3) Atlanta Falcons @ Tennessee Titans (2-4)

After two losses and a Bye, the Tennessee Titans enter Week 8 bottom of the AFC South with a disappointing 2-4 record. As for Atlanta, they picked up a good win in Tampa Bay last time out and they currently lead the NFC South with a positive 4-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to go with The Falcons. Either side could win this game and it’s one they both kind of need to win for different reasons. I’m going with Atlanta to beat Tennessee because I think they’ll have just enough quality to get the job done.

(3-4) New Orleans Saints @ Indianapolis Colts (3-4)

The Indianapolis Colts lost 39-38 against the Cleveland Browns last week and they currently sit third in the AFC South with a 3-4 record. As for New Orleans, they lost at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars in last week's Thursday Night Football and they are currently third in the NFC South with a disappointing 3-4 record. In terms of my Prediction, I am going to go with The Saints. Indy could easily win this game and they probably will, but I’m going to back The Saints because I feel like it.

(2-5) New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins (5-2)

The Miami Dolphins lost in Philadelphia in last week’s Sunday Night Football, but they are still leading the AFC East with a good 5-2 record. As for New England, they picked up a great win over the Buffalo Bills last time out, but they are still bottom of the AFC East with a pretty disappointing 2-5 record. In terms of my Prediction, I expect Miami to win this game. This is a simple one for me as I can’t see The Dolphins losing at home.

(3-3) New York Jets @ New York Giants (2-5)

It’s New York VS New York as The Giants host The Jets at MetLife Stadium. The New York Giants picked up a victory over the Washington Commanders last week, but they are still bottom of the NFC East with a disappointing 2-5 record. As for The Jets, they won back-to-back games before their Bye Week and they currently sit third in the AFC East with a 3-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to pick The Jets to win this game. Out of the two New York teams, I would say that The Jets have more upside than The Giants.

(5-2) Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)

In what is perhaps the game of the Week, the Pittsburgh Steelers welcome the Jacksonville Jaguars to Acrisure Stadium. The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a road victory in LA (against The Rams) last time out and they are currently second in the AFC North with a good 4-2 record. As for Jacksonville, they picked up a good win in New Orleans in last week’s Thursday Night Football and they currently lead the AFC South with a really good record of 5-2. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to back The Jags to beat The Steelers. The Jaguars are 3-0 on the road this season and I believe that that will continue going forward.
