2023 NFL Week 7 Preview and Predictions: Part 1

Teams on a Bye Week:

Dallas Cowboys (4-2)

Cincinnati Bengals (3-3)

New York Jets (3-3)

Houston Texans (3-3)

Tennessee Titans (2-4)

Carolina Panthers (0-6)

(4-2) Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints (3-3)

Week 7’s Thursday Night Football matchup sees the 3-3 New Orleans Saints host the 4-2 Jacksonville Jaguars. The New Orleans Saints lost against the Houston Texans last week and they are currently third in the NFC South at .500. As for Jacksonville, they beat the Indianapolis Colts 37-20 to extend their winning run to 3 games and they are currently leading the AFC South as the only team with a positive record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to pick The Jaguars to get their 4th straight victory. The Jags are playing good stuff right now and they look a lot more confident in themselves than The Saints.

(3-3) Las Vegas Raiders @ Chicago Bears (1-5)

The Chicago Bears suffered a 19-13 home defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6 and they are currently bottom of the NFC North with a very poor 1-5 record. As for Las Vegas, they managed to beat the New England Patriots last week and they are now second in the AFC West with a 3-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I fully expect Las Vegas to win this game. Even if Jimmy Garoppolo is out for this game, I still believe The Raiders should be/are good enough to get the job done against a poor Chicago side.

(3-2) Cleveland Browns @ Indianapolis Colts (3-3)

The Indianapolis Colts lost at Division Rivals Jacksonville last week and they are currently second in the AFC South with a respectable 3-3 record. As for Cleveland, they managed to stun the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6 and they currently sit third in the AFC North with a pretty decent record of 3-2. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to say that The Browns will beat The Colts. This game could go either way, but I kind of have to go with Cleveland after last week’s massive result.

(4-2) Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots (1-5)

The New England Patriots suffered another loss last week (courtesy of the Las Vegas Raiders) and they are currently bottom of the AFC East as the only team with a negative record. As for Buffalo, they only just beat the New York Giants (14-9) in Week 6 and they currently sit second in the AFC East with a decent record of 4-2. In terms of my Prediction, I fully expect The Bills to win this game. I’m slightly concerned for The Patriots in this one given they have the second-worst Net Points in the league (-80) whilst Buffalo have the second-best in the league (84).

(3-3) Washington Commanders @ New York Giants (1-5)

The New York Giants suffered a tough 14-9 loss away to Buffalo last week and they are currently bottom of the NFC East as the only team with a negative record (1-5). As for Washington, they came out victorious in Atlanta in Week 6 and they currently sit third in the NFC East with a decent 3-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m saying that Washington will win this game. They certainly should considering The Giants are on a 4-game losing streak and they look short of any ideas or quality.

(3-3) Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 20-6 at home to the Detroit Lions last week, but they are still leading the NFC South with a positive 3-2 record. As for Atlanta, they suffered a disappointing loss at home to the Washington Commanders and they currently sit second in the NFC South with a 3-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m picking The Bucs to get the job done. This could prove to be quite an important game for both sides come the end of the Regular Season and as of right now, I feel like Tampa Bay look and feel like the better team.

(5-1) Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens (4-2)

In a really exciting Week 7 matchup, the Baltimore Ravens host the Detroit Lions at M&T Bank Stadium. The Baltimore Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week and they are currently leading the AFC North with a good 4-2 record. As for Detroit, they won in Tampa Bay to make it four wins on the bounce and they are currently leading the NFC North with a terrific 5-1 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m actually going to pick Detroit to get the victory. Both teams are having a good season and I probably should pick Baltimore because they’re at home. However, I’m going to keep my faith in The Lions because Jared Goff is having a really great season so far.
