2023 NFL Week 6 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(3-2) New Orleans Saints @ Houston Texans (2-3)

The Houston Texans were just edged out by the Atlanta Falcons (19-21) in Week 5 and they currently sit third in the AFC South with a 2-3 record. As for New Orleans, they thumped the New England Patriots 34-0 last time out and they are currently third in the NFC South with a 3-2 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to pick The Saints to get the W. New Orleans have looked pretty decent on the road this year and I think that will continue (even though I do think they’ll have to fight for it).

(1-4) New England Patriots @ Las Vegas Raiders (2-3)

The Las Vegas Raiders picked up an important 17-13 win over the Green Bay Packers in last week’s Monday Night Football and they are currently third in the AFC West with a 2-3 record. As for New England, they got embarrassed by the New Orleans Saints last week (they lost 34-0) and they are currently bottom of the AFC East with a poor 1-4 record. In terms of my Prediction, I expect Las Vegas to beat New England. Whilst The Raiders aren’t a particularly “pretty team”, they will go far if they’re able to eke out results and I’d expect them to do this in a game against a Patriots side that is really struggling.

(4-1) Detroit Lions @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)

Who would’ve thought heading into Week 6 that the best game of the weekend in terms of the records coming into a game would be The Buccaneers hosting The Lions (because I certainly didn’t)? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be refreshed after a Bye Week and they return at the top of the NFC South with a 3-1 record. As for Detroit, they comfortably beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 5 (42-24) and they currently lead the NFC North as the only team with a positive record (4-1). In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to say that Detroit will win this game. Whilst The Bucs have started well, I definitely rate The Lions higher, and funnily enough, both sides are undefeated on the road which could prove pivotal.

(1-4) Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams (2-3)

The Los Angeles Rams suffered a 23-14 home loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 and they currently sit third in the NFC West with a 2-3 record. As for Arizona, they also lost at home (34-20 against The Bengals) and they are currently bottom of the NFC West with a record of 1-4. In terms of my Prediction, I would expect The Rams to win this game. Whilst I feel like Arizona have performed better than expected, I also feel the same way about LA which is why I’m picking them to get their first home win of the season.

(5-0) Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Jets (2-3)

The New York Jets picked up a decent victory in Denver last time out and they are now third in the AFC East with a 2-3 record. As for Philadelphia, they won 23-14 in Los Angeles against The Rams in Week 5 and they are currently leading the NFC East as one of only two teams left in the entire league with a perfect 5-0 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m definitely going with Philly. Realistically, The Eagles should stuff The Jets, but I feel like it might be slightly closer than that.

(1-4) New York Giants @ Buffalo Bills (3-2)

This week’s Sunday Night Football sees The Bills host The Giants in Buffalo. The Buffalo Bills lost in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week and they are now second in the AFC East with a 3-2 record (as a result). As for New York, they lost in Miami last time out and they currently sit bottom of the NFC East with a disappointing record of 1-4. In terms of my Prediction, I’m picking Buffalo (to win). I fully expect The Bills to stuff The Giants out the park if I’m being totally honest.

(3-2) Dallas Cowboys @ Los Angeles Chargers (2-2)

SoFi Stadium plays host to an intriguing Monday Night Football matchup as the Los Angeles Chargers host the Dallas Cowboys. The Los Angeles Chargers enter this game after back-to-back victories and (then) a Week 5 Bye and they are currently second in the AFC West with a 2-2 record. As for Dallas, they were found out in Week 5 in a 42-10 thrashing at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers and they currently sit second in the NFC East with a record of 3-2. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to pick The Chargers to get the W. Dallas could easily win this game because they are pretty inconsistent, but that reason is exactly why I think they’ll lose against a Chargers team that looks to be finding their way.
