2023 NFL Week 6 Preview and Predictions: Part 1

Teams on a Bye Week:

Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2)

Green Bay Packers (2-3)

(1-4) Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs (4-1)

This week’s Thursday Night Football sees AFC West Rivals collide as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos. The Kansas City Chiefs won 27-20 in Minnesota last week and they currently lead the AFC West as the only team with a positive record (4-1). As for Denver, they disappointingly lost at home to the New York Jets in Week 5 and they currently sit bottom of the AFC West with a poor 1-4 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m saying that The Chiefs will win this game by a big margin. Kansas are currently on one of their unbeaten runs and I don’t see it ending any time soon, especially against a struggling Broncos side.

(3-2) Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans (2-3)

In the final (NFL) London game of 2023, the Tennessee Titans take on the Baltimore Ravens in a big game for both sides. The Tennessee Titans suffered a road loss in Indianapolis last week and they currently find themselves bottom of the AFC South with a 2-3 record. As for Baltimore, they also suffered a disappointing loss away to Division Rivals last week (in the form of Pittsburgh) and they are currently second in the AFC North with a record of 3-2. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to say that Baltimore will win this game. This game could be close, but I do expect The Ravens to edge it.

(2-3) Washington Commanders @ Atlanta Falcons (3-2)

The Atlanta Falcons just about edged out the Houston Texans in Week 5 and they currently sit second in the NFC South with a 3-2 record (as a result). As for Washington, they were thrashed by the Chicago Bears at home in last week’s Thursday Night Football, and they are currently third in the NFC East with a 2-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m picking Atlanta to hand Washington their fourth straight defeat. The Commanders are struggling right now and I’d be surprised if they picked up a victory against a decent Falcons side.

(1-4) Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears (1-4)

The Chicago Bears finally got a win on the board thanks to a 40-20 win in Washington last week and they are now third in the NFC North with a 1-4 record. As for Minnesota, they lost 27-20 at home to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5 and they now find themselves bottom of the NFC North, also with a 1-4 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to say that Minnesota will win this game. Neither team has been particularly good this season, but I feel like The Vikings will surely win this game.

(3-1) Seattle Seahawks @ Cincinnati Bengals (2-3)

The Cincinnati Bengals picked up an important win in Arizona last week, but they still find themselves bottom of the AFC North with a 2-3 record. As for Seattle, they’re coming into this game off a Bye Week and their 3-game winning streak sees them sit second in the NFC West with a 3-1 record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m just about going to say Cincinnati. Both of these sides could easily win this game and the only reason I’m picking The Bengals is because I feel like they are surely going to put in quality performance at some point. Right?

(5-0) San Francisco 49ers @ Cleveland Browns (2-2)

The Cleveland Browns are all that stand in the way of the San Francisco 49ers creating a new Franchise record for consecutive Regular Season victories as the two teams collide in Ohio. The Cleveland Browns are coming into this game off the back of a Bye Week and they are currently third in the AFC North with a 2-2 record. As for San Francisco, they smashed the Dallas Cowboys 42-10 in last week’s Sunday Night Football and they currently lead the NFC West as one of only two teams left in the entire league to still have a perfect record. In terms of my Prediction, I’m picking The 49ers to beat The Browns. Cleveland could prove a threat to The Niners if they get everything right, but I’d be very surprised if that happens against a team that has a net points difference of +99.

(0-5) Carolina Panthers @ Miami Dolphins (4-1)

The Miami Dolphins beat the New York Giants 31-16 last week to retake the lead of the AFC East with a 4-1 record. As for Carolina, they lost again (this time thanks to the Detroit Lions) and they are currently bottom of the NFC South as the only team left in the entire league to get a win on the board. In terms of my Prediction, of course The Dolphins are going to win this game! If they don’t, I give up with predicting this league!

(3-2) Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2)

Week 6 sees two AFC South Rivals collide in a big game in Jacksonville as The Jaguars host The Colts. Jacksonville made it two wins out of two in London last week with a great win over the Buffalo Bills and they are currently leading the AFC South with a 3-2 record. As for Indianapolis, they beat Division Rivals Tennessee last week and they are currently second in the AFC South, also with a record of 3-2. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to pick The Jags to beat The Colts. I’ve been impressed with The Colts so far this season, but they’re going to really struggle to pick up wins without Anthony Richardson whilst The Jaguars look to be starting to find some momentum.
