2023 NFL Week 4 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(2-1) Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

The Philadelphia Eagles were victorious over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football last week and they currently lead the NFC East as the only team with a perfect 3-0 record. As for Washington, they were blasted 37-3 by the Buffalo Bills last week and they are now third in the NFC East with a record of 2-1 as a result. In the end, I’m picking The Eagles to go 4-0. Philly are still in another league (or two) compared to The Commanders in my opinion and I think that will show this weekend.

(0-3) Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers (0-3)

The Carolina Panthers sunk to 0-3 last week thanks to the Seattle Seahawks and they currently sit bottom of the NFC South as the only team yet to get a win on the board. As for Minnesota, they too dropped to 0-3 last week (thanks to the LA Chargers) and they are currently third in the NFC North needing to pick up a victory. In the end, I’m going to say that Minnesota will win this game. Both teams have to win this game and The Vikings should be a better team than Carolina on Sunday.

(2-1) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans (1-2)

The Houston Texans stuffed the Jacksonville Jaguars last week to get their first victory on the board and they are currently second in the AFC South (with a 1-2 record) as a result. As for Pittsburgh, they beat the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Night Football and they currently occupy the top spot in the AFC North with a record of 2-1. In the end, I’m picking Pittsburgh to win this game. The Steelers are a better team than The Texans, but that doesn’t mean that Houston can’t give them a good fight.

(1-2) Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers (1-2)

AFC West Rivals collided in Los Angeles as The Chargers welcome The Raiders to SoFi Stadium. The Chargers picked up a crucial first win of the season last week in Minnesota and they are currently third in the AFC West with a 1-2 record. As for Las Vegas, they lost at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday Night and they are currently second in the AFC West, also with a record of 1-2. In the end, I’m picking LA to beat LV. It’s fair to say that neither team has started the new season particularly well, but this game is a chance for one of those teams to slightly right that wrong and that’s exactly what I expect Justin Herbert to do.

(1-2) New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys (2-1)

The Dallas Cowboys were shockingly stunned by the Arizona Cardinals last week and they currently sit second in the NFC East with a 2-1 record. As for New England, they once again beat the New York Jets and they are now third in the AFC East with a 1-2 record (as a result). In the end, I fully expect Dallas will bounce back in style this week. I would like to think (for The Cowboys’ sake) that last week was just a silly blip and they should be able to beat a Patriots team that wasn’t at all convincing against a very weakened New York Jets side.

(1-2) Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers (3-0)

The San Francisco 49ers continued their perfect start to the season last week with a win over the New York Giants and they currently lead the NFC West as the only team with a 3-0 record. As for Arizona, they pulled out a brilliant result at home to The Cowboys last week, but they are still bottom of the NFC West with a 1-2 record. In the end, San Francisco should win this game. The Niners have started the season superbly well and they should have more than enough to win this game, even if The Cardinals have played well above people’s expectations.

(2-1) Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets (1-2)

The New York Jets welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to MetLife Stadium for Sunday Night Football. The New York Jets were poor again last week as they lost at home against the New England Patriots. The Jets are currently bottom of the AFC East with a record of 1-2. As for Kansas City, they thrashed the Chicago Bears last week and they currently lead the AFC West as the only team with a positive record (2-1). In the end, I think Kansas could smash New York this weekend. It’s very rare that I vote against The Chiefs and I’m certainly not voting against them when they’re playing a New York Jets team with potentially the worst Quarterback in the league (in Zac Wilson).

(2-1) Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants (1-2)

The New York Giants lost on Thursday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers last week and they are currently bottom of the NFC East as the only team without a positive record (1-2). As for Seattle, they once again put 37 points on the board as they beat the Carolina Panthers to move to second in the NFC West with a 2-1 record. In the end, I’m picking The Seahawks to win this game. It’s close and I’m definitely not ruling out the possibility of a Giants win, but The Seahawks seem to be doing enough at the moment to get over the line with the W.
