2023 NFL Week 3 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(0-2) Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost at home to the Kansas City Chiefs last week, but they still lead the AFC South with a 1-1 record. As for Houston, they were a bit disappointing in a 31-20 loss against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, and they are currently bottom of the AFC South as the only team yet to get a win on the board. In the end, I expect Jacksonville to win this game comfortably. The Jags are simply just a much better Football team than the Texans.

(1-1) Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens (2-0)

The Baltimore Ravens pulled out a good win on the road in Cincinnati last week and they currently lead the AFC North as the only team with a perfect record. As for Indianapolis, they picked up their first victory of the season by beating the Houston Texans in Week 2, and they currently find themselves in second place in the AFC South with a record of 1-1. In the end, I fully expect The Ravens to go 3-0 after this game’s over. Baltimore are a pretty strong team and whilst Indi did well last week, they’re still nowhere near The Ravens’ level.

(0-2) Carolina Panthers @ Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

The Seattle Seahawks pulled out a really good 37-31 Overtime victory in Detroit last week and they currently sit third in the NFC West with a 1-1 record. As for Carolina, they lost by 3 points against Division Rivals New Orleans on Monday, and they currently sit bottom of the NFC South as the only team yet to get a win on the board. In the end, I’m going with Seattle to beat Carolina. The Seahawks are a decent team and they should be able to defeat a Carolina Panthers team that doesn’t even have Bryce Young available.

(0-2) Chicago Bears @ Kansas City Chiefs (1-1)

The Kansas City Chiefs pulled out a good 17-9 victory in Jacksonville last weekend, and they currently sit second in the AFC West with a 1-1 record. As for Chicago, they lost against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 and they are currently bottom of the NFC North with a disappointing 0-2 start. In the end, I expect Kansas to stuff Chicago. I regard The Chiefs and The Bears in complete opposite manners and there could be a lot of points scored in this one.

(2-0) Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals (0-2)

The Arizona Cardinals bottled a victory over the New York Giants in Week 2 and they are currently bottom of the NFC West as the only team yet to pick up a victory. As for Dallas, they breezed past the New York Jets last time out and they currently lead the NFC East with a perfect record. In the end, I’d be gobsmacked if Dallas didn’t come away with the victory here. The Cowboys are one of the best teams in the entire league whilst the Arizona Cardinals are trying their very best to be the worst team in the league.

(1-1) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Las Vegas Raiders (1-1)

This week’s Sunday Night Football sees The Steelers take on The Raiders in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Las Vegas Raiders were smashed 38-10 by the Buffalo Bills in Week 2, but they still find themselves in the lead of the AFC West with a 1-1 record. As for Pittsburgh, they pulled out a good win at home to The Browns on last week’s Monday Night Football, and they currently sit second in the AFC North with a record of 1-1. In the end, I’m going with Las Vegas to win this game. There’s a fair argument for why both of these teams can either win or lose this game so I’m simply going with The Raiders because they’re at home.

(2-0) Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Philadelphia Eagles in the first of two Monday Night Football matchups. Tampa Bay managed to beat Chicago 27-17 last week and they currently sit third in the NFC South despite being off to a perfect 2-0 start. As for Philadelphia, they managed to beat the Minnesota Vikings 34-28 on last week’s Thursday Night Football and they currently find themselves in second place in the NFC East having also gotten off to a perfect 2-0 start. In the end, I’m picking The Eagles to win this game. This isn’t as easy of a decision as I would’ve expected it to have been before the start of the season, but I still think Philly will have enough to get the W.

(1-1) Los Angeles Rams @ Cincinnati Bengals (0-2)

The Los Angeles Rams face the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch from Super Bowl LVI. The Cincinnati Bengals suffered their second consecutive defeat against AFC North Rivals in Week 2, this time by the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals are currently bottom of the AFC North as the only team yet to get a win on the board (they really need one). As for LA, The Rams lost at home to The 49ers last week and they currently sit second in the NFC West with a record of 1-1. In the end, I’m going to say that Cincinnati will pick up their first victory of the season. This is another close one, but The Bengals need to win this game which is why I believe they will win this game.
