(9-5) Cleveland Browns @ Houston Texans (8-6)
The Houston Texans host the Cleveland Browns in a game with big AFC Playoff implications in play. The Houston Texans beat the Tennessee Titans in overtime last week and they currently sit third in the AFC South with a good 8-6 record. However, if the season ended today, The Texans would just miss out on a Playoff spot. As for Cleveland, they beat the Chicago Bears last time out and they currently find themselves second in the AFC North with a good 9-5 record. As it stands, The Browns occupy the Number 5 seed in the AFC. In terms of my Prediction, I am going to back The Browns to win this one. Whilst The Browns haven’t been that great on the road this year, I still think they’ll have just enough to edge out The Texans in Houston.
(8-6) Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers picked up their third-straight victory last time out (in Green Bay) and they currently lead the NFC South at .500. As it stands, The Bucs own the Number 4 seed in the NFC. As for Jacksonville, they lost for the third-straight game last weekend (against The Ravens), but if the season ended today, they would still win the AFC South with an 8-6 record which would also see them take the Number 4 seed in the Playoffs (on the AFC side of things). In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to go with The Bucs to beat The Jags in this one. It’s a close one, but Tampa Bay are simply playing better Football right now.
(3-11) Arizona Cardinals @ Chicago Bears (5-9)
The Chicago Bears lost in Cleveland last time out and they currently sit bottom of the NFC North with a 5-9 record. As it stands, The Bears are basically out of Playoff contention. As for Arizona, they lost 45-29 against Division Rivals San Francisco in Week 15 and they are currently bottom of the NFC West with a poor 3-11 record. If the season ended today, Arizona would end up as the second-worst team in the NFC. In terms of my Prediction, I will back The Bears in this one. Both teams can easily win and/or lose this game, but I’m going to go with Chicago because they’re at home.
(10-4) Dallas Cowboys @ Miami Dolphins (10-4)
The Miami Dolphins welcome the Dallas Cowboys to Hard Rock Stadium for what should be a hell of a contest. The Miami Dolphins bounced back with a 30-0 win over the New York Jets last weekend and they currently lead the AFC East with a pretty good 10-4 record. As it stands, The Dolphins occupy the Second seed in the AFC. As for Dallas, they were comfortably beaten in Buffalo last time out, but they are still leading the NFC East with a record of 10-4. If the season ended today, The Cowboys would take the Number 2 seed in the Playoffs (on the NFC side of things). In terms of my Prediction, I think The Cowboys will win this game. There’s a big argument for either of these teams winning this game, but I’m going to back Dallas simply because Miami haven’t faired very well against the big teams in 2023.
(3-11) New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos (7-7)
The Denver Broncos got thrashed by the Detroit Lions last Saturday Night and they currently sit second in the AFC West at .500. If the season ended today, The Broncos would not make the Playoffs. As for New England, they were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs last time out, and if the season ended today, not only would The Patriots finish bottom of the AFC East with a pretty poor 3-11 record, but they’d also end up as the worst team in the entire AFC. In terms of my Prediction, I fully expect Denver to pick up the W here. This should be pretty straightforward for The Broncos given how poor The Patriots are.
(6-8) Las Vegas Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs (9-5)
The first of three NFL games on Christmas Day sees the Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders in a clash between two AFC West Rivals. The Kansas City Chiefs got back to winning ways last week (in New England) and they currently lead the AFC West with a 9-5 record. If the season ended today, The Chiefs would be the Number 3 seed in the AFC Playoffs. As for Las Vegas, they put 63 points on the board as they thrashed the Los Angeles Chargers last Thursday Night and they currently sit third in the AFC West with a slightly disappointing 6-8 record. As it stands, The Raiders aren’t really in Playoff contention. In terms of my Prediction, I fully expect The Chiefs to win this one. I really can’t see a world where The Raiders come out on top in this game.
(5-9) New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles (10-4)
The Philadelphia Eagles lost for the third-straight week last time out (thanks to the Seattle Seahawks) and they are currently second in the NFC East with a record of 10-4. If the season ended today, The Eagles would be the Number 5 seed in the NFC. As for New York, they lost in New Orleans last weekend and they currently sit third in the NFC East with a disappointing 5-9 record. As it stands, The Giants are pretty much out of Playoff contention. In terms of my Prediction, I do expect Philadelphia to bounce back in a big way on Christmas Day. The Eagles have been poor the last few weeks, but they are still a much better side than The Giants.
(11-3) Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers (11-3)
In one of the games of the season (so far), the 11-3 San Francisco 49ers host the 11-3 Baltimore Ravens in what is a proper Christmas treat! The San Francisco 49ers made it 6 wins on the bounce last weekend with a victory in Arizona and they currently lead the NFC West with a great 11-3 record. As it stands, The 49ers occupy the Number 1 seed in the NFC. As for Baltimore, they won for the 4th-straight game last time out (in Jacksonville), and if the season ended today, not only would The Ravens win the AFC North with a great 11-3 record, but they’d also take the Number 1 seed in the AFC. In terms of my Prediction, I am going to back The 49ers to beat The Ravens in this one. This should be a hell of a game and it is worth mentioning that two of San Francisco’s three defeats this season have come against teams from the AFC North. However, I think The 49ers are just on a different level right now compared to Baltimore (who are still playing really good stuff).
