2023 NFL Week 13 Preview and Predictions: Part 2

(6-5) Denver Broncos @ Houston Texans (6-5)

The Houston Texans host the Denver Broncos in an important AFC matchup. The Houston Texans suffered a frustrating loss at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend, and if the Season ended today, they’d finish third in the AFC South and just miss out on the Playoffs. As for Denver, they made it 5 wins on the spin by beating the Cleveland Browns and they currently sit second in the AFC West with a decent record of 6-5. As it stands, The Broncos are just outside the Playoff places. In terms of my Prediction, I think The Broncos will win this game. This is a massive game for both teams and I’m simply backing Denver because of the run they’re on.

(1-10) Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost in Indianapolis last time out and they currently sit third in the NFC South with a sub-par 4-7 record (which wouldn’t be good enough to make the Playoffs). As for Carolina, they suffered their 4th successive defeat last weekend (thanks to the Tennessee Titans, and if the Season ended today, not only would The Panthers finish bottom of the NFC South, but they’d end up as the worst team in the league with an abysmal 1-10 record. In terms of my Prediction, I fully expect Tampa Bay to win this game. The crazy thing is, a win here and The Bucs are right back into Playoff contention.

(7-4) Cleveland Browns @ Los Angeles Rams (5-6)

The Los Angeles Rams made it back-to-back wins with a victory in Arizona last week and they currently sit third in the NFC West with a mediocre 5-6 record. As it stands, The Rams aren’t in a Playoff spot. As for Cleveland, they were breezed past by the Denver Broncos last time out and they are currently third in the AFC North with a good 7-4 record. If the Season ended today, The Browns would take the Number 6 seed into the Playoffs (on the AFC side of things). In terms of my Prediction, I do expect Cleveland to get right back to winning ways. The Rams are 1-5 against teams outside their Division and I think that says it all really.

(8-3) San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles (10-1)

In a rematch from last year’s NFC Championship game, the San Francisco 49ers take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The Philadelphia Eagles picked up their 5th-straight victory last time out against the Buffalo Bills and they currently lead the NFC East with a superb 10-1 record which would be enough for them to take the Number 1 seed if the Season ended today. As for San Francisco, they won in style in Seattle last Thursday Night, and they currently lead the NFC West with a good 8-3 record. As it stands, The 49ers are ranked 2nd in the NFC. In terms of my Prediction, I’m just about going to say that The Eagles will beat The 49ers. The main reason for that is simply because it would feel a little bit wrong to vote against Philly, even if they’re facing a terrific Niners side.

(8-3) Kansas City Chiefs @ Green Bay Packers (5-6)

The Green Bay Packers picked up a really good win in Detroit last Thursday and they are currently third in the NFC North with a sub-par 5-6 record. As it stands, The Packers are just outside of the Playoff positions. As for Kansas City, they won in Las Vegas last time out and they currently lead the AFC West with a good 8-3 record. If the Season ended today, The Chiefs would take the Number 2 seed in the AFC. In terms of my Prediction, I’m going to back Kansas City. However, there is a tiny part of me that could see Green Bay winning this game.

(5-6) Cincinnati Bengals @ Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3)

The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Cincinnati Bengals Live on Monday Night Football! The Jacksonville Jaguars picked up a really good win in Houston last weekend and they currently lead the AFC South with a good record of 8-3 which would be enough for them to take the Number 3 seed in the AFC if the Season ended today. As for Cincinnati, they lost at home to Division Rivals Pittsburgh last time out and they are currently bottom of the AFC North with a disappointing 5-6 record. As it stands, The Bengals aren’t quite in a Playoff spot. In terms of my Prediction, I think The Jaguars should and will win this game. The Jags are a good team whilst I can’t see Cincinnati doing any good without Joe Burrow at Quarterback.
