Teams on Their Bye (Week):
Baltimore Ravens (9-3)
Minnesota Vikings (6-6)
Buffalo Bills (6-6)
Las Vegas Raiders (5-7)
Chicago Bears (4-8)
New York Giants (4-8)
(6-5) Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys (8-3)
The Dallas Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks in this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup. The Dallas Cowboys made it 3 wins on the spin last time out when they thrashed the Washington Commanders 45-10 and they currently sit second in the NFC East with a good 8-3 record. If the Season ended today, The Cowboys would take the 5th seed heading into the Playoffs. As for Seattle, they lost at home to the San Francisco 49ers last week and they are currently second in the NFC West with an okay record of 6-5. As it stands, Seattle currently have the 6th seed in the NFC. In terms of my Prediction, I expect Dallas to win this game. The Cowboys are playing good football at the moment whilst The Seahawks are starting to struggle a little bit.
(6-5) Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans (4-7)
The Tennessee Titans beat the Carolina Panthers at home last weekend and as it stands, being bottom of the AFC South with a record of 4-7 would not be enough for The Titans to make the Playoffs if the season ended today. As for Indianapolis, they made it 3 wins on the bounce in Week 12 (at the expense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and they currently sit second in the AFC South with a decent 6-5 record. If the Season ended today, The Colts would actually sneak into the Playoffs as the final seed in the AFC. In terms of my Prediction, I expect The Colts to win this game. Indy are playing well right now and it would be very disappointing for them if they failed to win this game.
(4-7) Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots (2-9)
The New England Patriots lost for the 4th-straight game last time out (7-10 against the New York Giants) and not only are they bottom of the AFC East with a shockingly bad 2-9 record, but if the Season ended today, The Patriots would end up as the worst side in the AFC. As for LA, they were beaten at home by the Baltimore Ravens in last week’s Sunday Night Football and they currently sit bottom of the AFC West with a disappointing 4-7 record. As it stands, The Chargers aren’t even close to making it into the Playoffs. In terms of my Prediction, I do believe that The LA Chargers will win this game. Both teams have been pretty poor this year, but I do feel that The Chargers are still a better Football team than New England.
(8-3) Detroit Lions @ New Orleans Saints (5-6)
The New Orleans Saints suffered a frustrating loss in Atlanta last weekend and they are currently second in the NFC South with a disappointing record of 5-6 (a record that wouldn’t be good enough for them to make the Playoffs). As for Detroit, they suffered a shock home defeat against the Green Bay Packers last time out and as it stands, The Lions are the third seed in the NFC thanks to leading the NFC North with a good 8-3 record. In terms of my Prediction, I expect The Lions to bounce back with a victory in this one. I’d like to think (for Detroit’s sake) that last week’s loss over The Packers was just a blip and The Lions should be able to get back to winning ways against a mediocre Saints side.
(5-6) Atlanta Falcons @ New York Jets (4-7)
The New York Jets once again lost last week (this time against the Miami Dolphins) and they are currently third in the AFC East with a disappointing record of 4-7. As it stands, The Jets are the second-worst team in the AFC. As for Atlanta, they picked up a big win over Division Rivals New Orleans last time out and they currently lead the NFC South with a not-great 5-6 record. If the Season ended today, The Falcons would take the Number 4 seed heading into the Playoffs (on the NFC side of things). In terms of my Prediction, I am going to back The Falcons to beat The Jets. Neither team’s been particularly great this year, but the difference is Atlanta are playing for a spot in the Playoffs so that’s enough for me to pick them to win this game.
(2-10) Arizona Cardinals @ Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4)
The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a really good win in Cincinnati last time out, and they are currently second in the AFC North with a good 7-4 record, a record that would be enough for them to take the Number 5 seed in the AFC (if the Season ended today). As for Arizona, they were thrashed at home by the LA Rams in Week 12 and they currently sit bottom of the NFC West with a lacklustre record of 2-10. If the Season ended today, The Cardinals would end up with the second-worst record in the entire league. In terms of my Prediction, this should be a pretty straightforward victory for The Steelers. Pittsburgh are playing pretty good stuff at the moment whilst The Cardinals certainly aren’t!
(8-3) Miami Dolphins @ Washington Commanders (4-8)
The Washington Commanders got completely smashed by the Dallas Cowboys last Thursday and they are currently bottom of the NFC East with a not great 4-8 record. As it stands, The Commanders are the third-worst team in the NFC. As for Miami, they comfortably breezed past the New York Jets last time out and they currently lead the AFC East with a good 8-3 record. If the Season ended today, The Dolphins would have the 4th seed in the Playoffs (on the AFC side of things). In terms of my Prediction, The Dolphins will thrash The Commanders in this one. There really isn’t much more to add other than Miami don’t lose against weaker opponents.
