2023/24 UEFA Champions League Preview: Quarter-Final, Leg 1

Arsenal VS Bayern Munich

Arsenal host Bayern Munich in a massive Champions League tie! Arsenal are coming into this game off the back of a 3-0 win at Brighton and they are currently top of the Premier League. When it comes to Bayern Munich, they enter this game off the back of a poor 3-2 loss at FC Heidenheim and they currently sit second in the Bundesliga. In their previous 8 meetings, Arsenal have won twice whilst Bayern have won 5 times. Overall, it’s on Arsenal to pick up the strong result here.

My Prediction: 2-1

Real Madrid VS Manchester City

The most successful team in the history of the UEFA Champions League collide with the reigning Champion as Real Madrid host Manchester City at the Bernabeu. Real Madrid are coming into this game off the back of a 2-0 win over Athletic Club and they are currently top of LaLiga. When it comes to Manchester City, they enter this game off the back of a 4-2 win at Crystal Palace and they currently sit third in the Premier League. In their previous 10 meetings, Madrid have won 3 games compared to 4 wins for City. Overall, both Real Madrid and Manchester City rarely lose so this should be a really exciting game!

My Prediction: 2-2

Atletico Madrid VS Borussia Dortmund

Atletico Madrid host Borussia Dortmund in the first of what should be two really even and close-to-call legs. Atletico Madrid are coming into this game off the back of a 2-1 win at Villarreal and they are currently 4th in LaLiga. When it comes to Borussia Dortmund, they enter this game off the back of a 1-0 loss at home to VfB Stuttgart and they currently sit 5th in the Bundesliga. In their previous 2 meetings, both sides picked up one win each, and more interestingly, the home team didn’t concede. Overall, this is a really close one to call so I’m looking forward to it!

My Prediction: 1-0

PSG VS Barcelona

Two heavyweights of the Footballing world collide as PSG host Barcelona at the Parc des Princes. PSG are coming into this game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Clermont Foot and they are currently top of Ligue 1. When it comes to Barcelona, they enter this game off the back of a 1-0 win over Las Palmas and they currently sit second in LaLiga. In their previous 10 meetings, Paris Saint Germain have won 3 games compared to FC Barcelona’s 4. Overall, PSG should definitely be the favourites in this one.

My Prediction: 2-0
