2023/24 Premier League Roundup: Season Awards

It’s that time again where I hand out my awards after another competitive Premier League Season. Like last year, there will be 11 different categories with 6 nominations each, and Breakout Player will be awarded based on who’s grown as a footballer the last 12 months whilst “Most Underappreciated” player will be given to someone that didn’t make the major awards, but they definitely deserved a mention! Also, there will be polls so you can vote for your winner in each category, and without further ado, let’s begin with Goalkeeper of the Season!

Goalkeeper of the Season Nominees:

Ederson

We start with the man who won yet another Premier League Title, Ederson. Ederson kept 10 Clean Sheets in 33 matches and he also conceded on average the second least amount of any starting Goalie (0.9 GCPG). As for Ederson’s other stats, he is ranked 8th in Save Percentage (67.9%) and 7th in the Goals Prevented chart (+0.7). So yeah, a decent season for the City Keeper, but probably not enough to win this award!

David Raya

It’s now time to talk about the winner of this year’s Golden Glove, David Raya. David Raya kept 16 Clean Sheets in 32 matches and he also conceded on average the least amount of goals of any starting Keeper (0.8). As for Raya’s other stats, he is ranked only 13th in Save Percentage (65.7%) and 12th in the Goals Prevented chart with a worrying -3.1! So whilst David Raya has had an impressive season which has won him awards, it also could’ve been a lot better!

Alisson

There’s an argument to be made that Alisson has had a slightly under the radar year. Alisson kept 8 Clean Sheets in 28 matches and he also conceded on average the third lowest amount of goals of any starting Goalkeeper (1.1). As for Alisson’s other stats, he has the best Save Percentage of anyone (73.5%), but he is only ranked 10th in the Goals Prevented chart with a negative result (-1.0). To be fair, it’s been a good year for Liverpool’s Number 1!

Andre Onana

Despite his earlier struggles, Andre Onana has gone on to have a pretty decent first year at Manchester United. Andre Onana has kept 9 Clean Sheets in 38 matches and he also conceded on average the 8th-least amount of goals of any starting Goalie (1.5). As for Onana’s other stats, he is Ranked third in both Save Percentage (72.0%) and in the Goals Prevented chart with a really positive 2.8! Based on these stats, Onana’s had a great year!

Bernd Leno

For the second straight year, Bernd Leno makes it into my Goalkeeper of the Season Nominees! Bernd Leno has kept 10 Clean Sheets in 38 matches and he also conceded on average 1.6 GPG which is about midtable in terms of the starting Goalies. As for Leno’s other stats, he is ranked 7th in Save Percentage (68.7%), but his 13th place in the Goals Prevented Chart is worrying at a poor -4.6! So overall, it’s been another solid year for Bernd Leno, but that last stat really hurts him.

Jordan Pickford

And finally, let’s end with Everton’s Jordan Pickford. Jordan Pickford has kept 13 Clean Sheets in 38 matches and he also conceded on average the 5th-least amount of any starting Keeper which is pretty good (1.3)! As for Pickford’s other stats, he is ranked 4th in both Save Percentage (70.3%) and in the Goals Prevented Chart (2.5). So yeah, I can’t lie, I’m pretty impressed with Jordan Pickford’s stats here!

Defender of the Season Nominees:

Josko Gvardiol

I think it’s fair to say that Josko Gvardiol had a pretty decent debut season for Manchester City, but maybe not in the role that you would’ve expected! Josko Gvardiol featured in 28 Premier League games this season (started 26) and the interesting thing to note about Gvardiol is he scored 4 goals! This is because Man City used him as more of an attacking full-back and it really served them well towards the end of the year. Whilst I always think it’s harder to talk about stats when it comes to defenders, you only have to look at City’s defensive record to see that they have to have someone on here and Josko Gvardiol was definitely the best!

William Saliba

After another strong year, William Saliba is back in contention for my Defender of the Season Award! William Saliba played and started every game this season and he was once again integral to helping Arsenal have the best defense of the season and more importantly, to being genuine Title Contenders! Once again, Saliba is probably the best defender in the league right now!

Gabriel

You can’t praise Arsenal and William Saliba without talking about his Centre-Back partner Gabriel. Gabriel featured in 36 Premier League games this season (started 34) and his partnership at the back with teammate Saliba was a big reason why Arsenal conceded the least amount of goals in the league. I also think that this was kind of a breakout year for Gabriel so fingers crossed for him he can keep it up!

Ben White

Why talk about two Arsenal defenders when you can talk about three?! Ben White featured in 37 Premier League games this season (started 35) and he had a really strong year which saw him score and assist 4 times (8 in total). Of course, as a defender, White also helped Arsenal’s strong defence so yeah, it’s been a good year for the Englishman.

Virgil van Dijk

Whilst maybe not at his best, Virgil van Dijk still had a very strong season. Virgil van Dijk featured in 36 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and his strong leadership not only helped Liverpool to a good third-place finish, but he also helped his side to the third-best defensive record in the year. So yeah, a good year for van Dijk!

Pedro Porro

And finally for defenders, let’s talk about Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro. Pedro Porro featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started all of then) and he managed to score 3 goals and pick up 7 assists. That’s actually pretty good, and he also showed his defensive ability at times too. Whilst Porro maybe isn’t good enough to win this award compared to the others on this list, I definetly felt like he deserved a mention!

Midfielder of the Season Nominees:

Phil Foden

Let’s start the Midfielder Nominees off with Manchester City’s star man, Phil Foden! Phil Foden featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started 33) and he managed to score an amazing 19 goals and also grab 8 assists! Foden ended up as the joint 4th-top Goalscorer in the league and he was ranked 6th for Goals and Assists combined! A very impressive year for Phil Foden!

Kevin De Bruyne

Even with less than half a season played, Kevin De Bruyne still managed to have a pretty impressive season! Kevin De Bruyne only featured in 18 Premier League games this season (started 15) yet he still managed to score 4 goals and pick up 10 assists! More impressively than all of that, De Bruyne managed to have the joint third-most amount of assists of anyone in the league which is quite frankly ridiculous! So yeah, fair play to KDB because he is still clearly the Best Midfielder in the World.

Rodri

When you’re the Champions for 4-straight years, you’re going to have a very strong midfield, and Rodri is a massive part of it! Rodri featured in 34 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he had a strong year defensively. However, it’s also worth mentioning that he also scored 8 goals and picked up 9 assists which is actually pretty impressive. But maybe most impressive of all, Rodri managed to go all season (in the league) unbeaten which is a testament to how critical he is to Manchester City!

Declan Rice

I think it’s fair to say that Arsenal made the right decision signing Declan Rice! Declan Rice featured in all 38 Premier League games this season (started 37) and he picked up 7 goals and 8 assists which is actually pretty impressive and more than I expected! I think a massive thing to note about with Rice is he just makes Arsenal look much more solid which is impressive given how well they did before he got there. So yeah, Declan Rice deserves his flowers for a very strong season!

Martin Odegaard

In terms of Club Captains, there aren’t many better-performing ones than Martin Odegaard. Martin Odegaard featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he managed to score 8 goals and pick up 10 assists which is a really good amount! Odegaard was ranked joint third for most assists this season and his overall level of play has rightfully earned him another spot in this list.

Pascal Gross

After winning my “Most Underappreciated Player” Award last season, Pascal Gross rightfully has a place in my Nominees for “Midfielder of the Season” this year. Pascal Gross featured in 36 Premier League games this season and he managed to score 4 goals and pick up 10 assists. Whilst that might not sound like anything crazy (the goal total certainly), you have to acknowledge the fact that Gross had the joint-third most amount of assists and he was also second for the most chances created with 102! Gross was also critical to anything good that Brighton achieved/did, so I think he fully merits a place on this list.

Attacker of the Season Nominees:

Erling Haaland

Despite what lots of people said, Erling Haaland still had a pretty decent second season in England! Erling Haaland featured in 31 Premier League games this season (started 29) and he managed to score a massive 27 goals whilst also picking up 5 assists! Haaland obviously won the Golden Boot for the second-straight year, but he was also ranked joint-second for Goals and Assists combined (just 1 off first) and second in Goals per 90 (0.95). Now of course, Erling Haaland does miss some big opportunities, but still, I’d be scared if this is seen as a bad year!

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka once again finds himself on this list after another strong season! Bukayo Saka featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he managed to score a strong 16 goals whilst also picking up 9 assists! That’s some pretty impressive numbers, and it took Saka to 7th for Goals and Assists combined! It’s also worth mentioning that he was top in most of the categories when it comes to Arsenal players, so yeah, another strong year for Bukayo Saka!

Mohamed Salah

Say what you want, but Mohamed Salah’s season has gone pretty under the radar! Mohamed Salah featured in 32 Premier League games this season (started 28) and he managed to score 18 goals and pick up 10 assists which is very impressive indeed! However, I think the most impressive stat of all for Salah is the fact that he was ranked inside the Top 7 in the league for Goals, Assists, and Goals and Assists combined which only two other people can say. For a guy that isn’t supposedly as good as he once was, Mo Salah is still going pretty strong!

Ollie Watkins

The 2023/24 Season feels like a proper breakthrough year for Ollie Watkins! Ollie Watkins featured in 37 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he managed to score 19 goals and pick up 13 assists which is pretty amazing! Watkins also finished joint 4th for Most Goals, won the Top Assister award, and finished joint second for Goals and Assists combined. This is all very impressive, and that’s before I tell you that none of Ollie Watkins’ goals were penalties!

Alexander Isak

It’s now time to talk about Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak! Alexander Isak featured in 30 Premier League games this season (started 27) and he managed to score a very impressive 21 goals whilst also picking up 2 assists. Isak finished third in the race for the Golden Boot, and he was ranked 8th in Goals and Assists combined! Isak’s 0.83 Goals per 90 ratio was also good enough for third on the list! So yeah, a really positive year for the Swedish Striker!

Cole Palmer

And finally, we have to talk about Cole Palmer’s breakout season! Cole Palmer featured in 34 Premier League games this season (started 29) and he managed to score 22 goals and pick up 11 assists which is quite frankly ridiculous! Palmer finished second in the race for the Golden Boot, second in the Top Assisters chart, and first in Goals and Assists combined which is just incredible! In fact, he smashed every other Chelsea player out of the park this season, and the only gripe you could have against Cole Palmer is 9 of his goals were penalties (but he still scored them).

Biggest Overachiever Nominees:

Aston Villa: 4th, 68pts

Whilst expectations were somewhat high for Aston Villa heading into the season, no one could’ve predicted just how good they’d be! A 6th place finish would’ve been seen as a successful result at the start of the year, but Villa smashed this out the park to finish 4th and book their return to the UEFA Champions League! The only negative you could have against Villa’s year is they dropped off quite a lot towards the end, but still, it was a mega year for Unai Emery’s men!

Tottenham: 5th, 66pts

Whilst 5th might not sound like a lot for a club like Tottenham Hotspur, it was certainly a much better result than most people were thinking! There were plenty of people that expected Tottenham to struggle to make Europe again and for Ange Postecoglou to lose his job after less than a year in charge. However, that didn’t happen as Ange made Spurs a much more exciting team to watch and they ended up as the best team with a new manager which is really impressive, especially when you consider that they lost Harry Kane!

Crystal Palace: 10th, 49pts

Crystal Palace have always been seen as a solid Premier League side, a club that isn’t in threat of getting Relegated, but also isn’t really good enough to fight for Europe. However, it feels like Palace really stepped up under new manager Oliver Glasner as they went on a terrific run of form at the end of the season to secure a Top Half finish for the first time since 2015! To be honest, if Crystal Palace can keep their main players, they can be really strong next season!

Bournemouth: 12th, 48pts

AFC Bournemouth took a massive risk getting rid of Gary O’Neil and bringing in Andoni Iraola for the new season. To be honest, it didn’t look like a particularly great choice to start with as The Cherries were struggling to win Football matches, but when they found their form, they were a really dangerous side. Given this was Iraola’s first year in England, I think he did a great job and Bournemouth can definitely finish in the Top 10 next season!

Wolves: 14th, 46pts

No matter what happened towards the end of the year, Wolverhampton Wanderers had a much better season than anyone anticipated. After losing their manager Julen Lopetegui in the week before the season begun, Wolves brought in Gary O’Neil and they pulled out a very impressive performance against Manchester United (they were very unlucky to lose 1-0). Wolves then became a very dangerous side that was capable of beating anyone, and whilst they did drop off a lot after losing to Coventry in the FA Cup, you have to remember that they suffered a ridiculous amount of injuries and had so many awful decisions go against them. For me, Wolves did a great job this year!

Everton: 15th, 40pts

It’s weird to put Everton into this category, but I think they deserve it. After two seasons of being pretty and quite fortunate to stay up, Everton were hit with an 8-point deduction which already made it even harder for them to stay up. However, The Toffees actually became a bit of a beast at home towards the end of the year, keeping countless clean sheets in a row, and they ended up finishing 14 points above the drop which is deserving of some praise. Also, without the points deduction, Everton would’ve finished 12th so they deserve to be here!

Biggest Underachiever Nominees:

Chelsea: 6th, 63pts

Whilst Chelsea deserve praise for their really strong end to the season, that doesn’t mean people should forget how poor they were for the large majority of games. The Blues lost far too many games early on in the year, were sitting outside the Top Half of the Table for the most part, and people were already asking for Mauricio Pochettino to get sacked. However, at least Chelsea were able to save themselves a little with a strong end to the year that got them a spot in Europe for next year.

Manchester United: 8th, 60pts

If it wasn’t for the FA Cup Final, this would’ve rightfully been labelled as one of Manchester United’s worst-ever seasons! For the most part, Man United looked absolutely useless and there was no belief in them whatsoever. Not only did they manage to lose a ridiculous 14 games, but they also managed to finish 31 points off the Title when most people expected them to qualify for the Champions League (again)! So yeah, United have to do better next year!

Brighton: 11th, 48pts

After their greatest-ever season the year before, Brighton and Hove Albion failed to live up to expectations this year. I mean, it’s not like The Seagulls were bad at all, but the amount of injuries combined with being in Europe for the first time seemed to catch up with them and they limped home to a finish outside of the Top 10. It’s going to be interesting to see how Brighton get on next year, especially as Roberto De Zerbi has now left.

Brentford: 16th, 39pts

After a couple of great years in the Premier League, it felt like Brentford came back down to earth this year. The Bees just weren’t as dangerous as before and it felt like teams had worked them out a little. It also didn’t help that Ivan Toney was banned for the first half of the year and when he came, Bryan Mbeumo got injured so you do have to cut them a little bit of slack, but still, I would’ve expected better from Thomas Frank’s side.

Burnley: 19th, 24pts

What do I even say about Burnley?! After an incredible Championship-winning season, there were a lot of expectations of Burnley doing something similar to the likes of Wolves or Brentford. However, The Clarets never got going, and were just simply not good enough. It’s definitely fair to mention that Burnley had some terrible decisions go against them, but even still, they weren’t good enough and they were just massively underwhelming.

20th: Sheffield United, 16pts

I’ll be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever have to write about as poor a team as Sheffield United this year. The Blades were awful, they got thrashed nearly every week, conceded a record-breaking 104 goals, and they only won 3 games! I’m sorry, but that’s simply appalling!

Breakout Player of the Year Nominees:

Jhon Duran

Jhon Duran proved this season why he can be a useful player in the Premier League. Jhon Duran featured in 23 games this season (started just 3) and he managed to score 5 goals. However, a massive thing to point out is Duran was first in the Goals per 90 category (0.97) which is actually quite impressive and is definitely a good look! Also, given Duran is only 20 years old, he’s only going to get better!

Cole Palmer

As hinted at earlier, Cole Palmer went from being a substitute at the Champions to being the main man at Chelsea!

Mohammed Kudus

Mohammed Kudus has had a very strong first year at West Ham United! Mohammed Kudus featured in 33 Premier League games this season (started 27) and he managed to score 8 goals and pick up 6 assists which is pretty good going! For me, Kudus keeps this up and the big clubs will start coming for him!

Jean-Philippe Mateta

After years of being seen as a below-average striker, Jean-Philippe Mateta really showcased his ability with a great year for Crystal Palace. Jean-Philippe Mateta featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started 25) and he managed to score a massive 16 goals whilst also picking up 5 assists! Those 16 goals were actually enough for Mateta to make the Top 10 in the Goal-Scoring charts, and yeah, a great year for Palace’s Number 14!

Hwang Hee-Chan

After struggling at Wolverhampton Wanderers for a couple of years, Hwang Hee-Chan proved to be a crucial player for them with a fine goal-scoring season! Hwang Hee-Chan featured in 29 Premier League games this season (started 25) and he managed to score a nice total of 12 goals whilst also adding 3 assists too! I think the biggest praise I can have for Hwang is he was crucial to Wolves’ success, and they dropped off following his injury.

Elijah Adebayo

Despite all of Luton Town’s’ struggles, Elijah Adebayo star definitely shone! Elijah Adebayo featured in 27 Premier League games this season (started 16) and he managed to pick up 10 goals which is a good amount! I definitely feel like Adebayo should be picked up by a Premier League club next year.

Most Underappreciated Player Nominees:

Julian Alvarez

For me, Julian Alvarez has harshly been ignored when it comes to receiving top praise this season. Julian Alvarez featured in 36 Premier League games this season (started 31) and he managed to score 11 goals and pick up 9 assists which is very impressive! Alvarez was also Manchester City’s third-highest scorer this year as well as their joint-second top assister which tells me that the World Cup winner deserves a lot more praise than what he’s received!

Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen had a pretty great season this year, and it’s still not being talked about enough! Jarrod Bowen featured in 34 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he managed to score an amazing 16 goals whilst also picking up 6 assists! Not only was Bowen West Ham’s top scorer (by double), but he also ranked inside the Top 10 in both Goals and Goals and Assists combined which really says a lot about just how great his campaign was!

Mohammed Kudus

Whilst Mohammed Kudus definitely broke out this year, I still think his year’s gone under the radar! Mohammed Kudus featured in 33 Premier League games this season (started 27) and he managed to score 8 goals and pick up 6 assists which is pretty good going! So yeah, just a great year for the young 23-year-old.

Jean-Philippe Mateta

Jean-Philippe Mateta is another player who broke out this year whilst also going under the radar! Jean-Philippe Mateta featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started 25) and he managed to score a massive 16 goals whilst also picking up 5 assists! Those 16 goals were actually enough for Mateta to make the Top 10 in the Goal-Scoring charts, and yeah, I think he’s done a great job!

Dominic Solanke

I can’t lie, I went back-and-forth over sticking Dominic Solanke in my “Attacker of the Season Nominees” as his year was that good! Dominic Solanke featured in every Premier League game this season (started all but 1) and he managed to score an amazing 19 goals whilst also picking up 3 assists! This was enough for Solanke to rank 6th in the Top Scorer’s charts and only 2 of those goals were penalties which is the real standout stat for me. So yeah, a great year from Dominic Solanke, and I’ll be interested to see if he decides to stay at Bournemouth for another year.

Matheus Cunha

I have to say, I was impressed by Matheus Cunha this season. Matheus Cunha featured in 32 Premier League games this season (started 29) and he managed to score 12 goals whilst also picking up 7 assists which is a very strong total! Cunha was also right up there as the best Wolves player this season in multiple categories, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the big clubs came asking for him!

Young Player of the Season Nominees:

Phil Foden

It’s only right that we start this list off with Phil Foden! Phil Foden featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started 33) and he managed to score an amazing 19 goals and also grab 8 assists! Foden ended up as the joint 4th-top Goalscorer in the league and he was ranked 6th for Goals and Assists combined! A very impressive year that deserves all the praise in the world!

Erling Haaland

I can promise you that Erling Haaland will not be eligible for this award next season! Now of course, Erling Haaland does miss some big opportunities, but once again, if this is a bad season, we need help!

Bukayo Saka

It’s two years out of two for Bukayo Saka when it comes to making this list! Bukayo Saka featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he managed to score a strong 16 goals whilst also picking up 9 assists! That’s some pretty impressive numbers, and it took Saka to 7th for Goals and Assists combined! It’s also worth mentioning that he was top in most of the categories when it comes to Arsenal players, so yeah, another strong year for Bukayo Saka, and I only expect him to get better!

William Saliba

Just like his fellow Arsenal teammate, William Saliba is once again in contention to win my Young Player of the Year Award! William Saliba played and started every game this season and he was once again integral to helping Arsenal have the best defense of the season and more importantly, to being genuine Title Contenders! Once again, Saliba is the best defender in the league right now!

Cole Palmer

At this rate, I can’t praise this guy enough! In fact, he smashed every other Chelsea player out of the park this season, and the only gripe you could have against Cole Palmer is 9 of his goals were penalties, but again, he scored them so it doesn’t really matter!

Mohammed Kudus

I told you I rated this guy! Mohammed Kudus featured in 33 Premier League games this season (started 27) and he managed to score 8 goals and pick up 6 assists which is pretty good going! So yeah, once again, congrats on a great season.

Manager of the Season Nominees:

Pep Guardiola

It was another terrific year for Pep Guardiola who managed to achieve a record-breaking 4th-successive Premier League Title with Manchester City! Not only did Pep guide Man City to another League Title, but City also scored the most goals and conceded the second least, and you always have to praise Guardiola for changing things up and playing people in different roles! Oh, and City won the last 9 games of the season which proves how much of a machine Pep Guardiola has built!

Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta once again guided Arsenal to a strong season that saw them come close to winning the league! Mikel Arteta does a great job of getting the best out of young players, and the way he plays is also clearly successful as The Gunners scored the second most amount of goals whilst they also had the best defense! Can next year be the year that Arteta finally wins the Prem with Arsenal, only time will tell!

Unai Emery

Unai Emery has always been seen as a strong coach, but what he managed to achieve with Aston Villa this year was extra special! Emery made Villa a threat to pretty much everyone, made them super strong at home, and took them back to the UEFA Champions League which is something not many people anticipated at the start of the year! Yes, you can argue that Villa dropped off towards the end of the year, but still, it was a great year for him and his players!

Oliver Glasner

When Crystal Palace picked up Oliver Glasner as their new manager, it seemed like a pretty good coup for them, especially as they were languishing down in 14th place and were closer to the Relegation Zone than the teams ahead. Well, when Glasner started to get things going, Palace really did get going as they managed to pick up 19 points in the final 7 games, thrashing multiple teams that ultimately finished above them, and all of that took them to a Top Half finish which is very impressive indeed!

Andoni Iraola

I thought Andoni Iraola did a great job in his first year in England. Given Bournemouth’s start to the year and the fans' love of Gary O’Neil, Iraola did a great job to get things rolling and get them to play some great Football that was a threat to lots of the big teams! The Cherries also managed a record-breaking points tally in the Top Flight this year which is a credit to Iraola who has a very promising future ahead!

Gary O'Neil

In the Summer of 2023, Gary O’Neil was sacked by AFC Bournemouth. In the week before the new season started, O’Neil was hired by Wolverhampton Wanderers. O’Neil then went on and transformed the way that Wolves play, and he really turned them into a threat like they were a few years ago. Of course, things dropped off towards the end of the year, but it would be crazy not to give Gary O’Neil a spot on this list after all of the adversity he and his team had to face!

Player of the Season Nominees:

Phil Foden

When you’ve been as good as Phil Foden’s been this year, you deserve another heap of praise! Phil Foden featured in 35 Premier League games this season (started 33) and he managed to score an amazing 19 goals and also grab 8 assists! Foden ended up as the joint 4th-top Goalscorer in the league and he was ranked 6th for Goals and Assists combined! This was definitely Phil Foden’s best year yet!

Erling Haaland

After winning this award last year, Erling Haaland is back for more! So whilst Erling Haaland probably won’t win this award this year, I think we’re going to see him on here a lot more going forward!

William Saliba

William Saliba fully merits a place in the Player of the Season Nominees! William Saliba played and started every game this season and he was once again integral to helping Arsenal have the best defense of the season and more importantly, to being genuine Title Contenders! So yeah, a brilliant year for Saliba!

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins is a genuine contender to win this award! Watkins featured in 37 Premier League games this season (started all of them) and he managed to score 19 goals and pick up 13 assists which is pretty amazing! Watkins also finished joint 4th for Most Goals, won the Top Assister award, and finished joint second for Goals and Assists combined. This is all very impressive, and as we know, he didn’t even take a penalty!

Cole Palmer

I think I’ve had enough of talking about Cole Palmer, which is a credit to him! We can talk about his penalties all we went, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t change the fact that Cole Palmer was brilliant this season!

Alexander Isak

I think Alexander Isak has more than earned his way onto this list! Alexander Isak featured in 30 Premier League games this season (started 27) and he managed to score a very impressive 21 goals whilst also picking up 2 assists. Isak finished third in the race for the Golden Boot, and he was ranked 8th in Goals and Assists combined! Isak’s 0.83 Goals per ratio 90 was also good enough for third on the list! In the end, it’s been a super strong year for Alexander Isak!
