Manchester City 5-1 Wolves
An Erling Haaland masterclass paved the way for another Manchester City victory on their path to 4-straight Titles! Manchester City were given a penalty after a coming together between Josko Gvardiol and Rayan Ait Nouri, and I think this was the right decision. Erling Haaland stepped up and converted coolly to give Man City the lead after just 12 minutes. Jose Sa then did a good job to keep Erling Haaland’s headed effort out, but in the 36th minute, Sa couldn’t do it again as Haaland headed home brilliantly to make it 2-0 to the hosts. City were then awarded another penalty after Nelson Semedo brought down Haaland, and I’m a little bit confused as to how this wasn’t a Red card. Anyway, Erling Haaland stepped up and scored again to compete a First-Half hat-trick. Early in the Second Half, Wolves had one back as Hwang Hee-Chan scored after some poor goalkeeping by Ederson, but City’s 3-goal lead was restored just a minute later as Haaland scored yet again! This might have been his best one of the lot! And in the 85th minute, the Champions had their 5th as Julian Alvarez got on the act! Overall, this is exactly what Manchester City need to be doing right now! City remain second in the league (with a game in hand) and their next game is away at Fulham on Saturday. As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they’ll want to move on from this quickly. Wolves drop to 12th in the table and they host Crystal Palace next time out.
Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth
Arsenal picked up another good victory to remain Top of the League. William Saliba saw his effort saved well by Mark Travers before Declan Rice had a great chance which he dragged wide. Arsenal were then awarded a penalty after Kai Havertz was brought down by Travers, and it was Bukayo Saka who stepped up and scored to send Arsenal into the break ahead! In the 70th minute, Arsenal’s lead doubled as Leandro Trossard found the back of the net before Antoine Semenyo had a goal ruled out for a foul on David Raya. I’m so sick of these referees protecting Goalkeepers, it’s just awful! Gabriel then had a great strike ruled out for offside before Declan Rice sealed the 3 points for the hosts in the 97th minute. Overall, Arsenal are doing everything right right now! The Gunners remain top of the league and their next game is a huge one at Manchester United! As for AFC Bournemouth, they’ll be disappointed, but they’ll move on I’m sure. The Cherries remain 10th in the table and they host Brentford next time out.
Liverpool 4-2 Tottenham
Cristian Romero pulled out a great block to keep Harvey Elliott’s effort out before Liverpool had the lead after 16 minutes through Mohamed Salah. For me, Guglielmo Vicario should’ve done better here! Just before Halftime and Liverpool had a second as Andy Robertson tapped home from close range (on the rebound). 5 minutes into the Second Half and Cody Gakpo made it 3-0 to the hosts before Harvey Elliott made it 4 with a fantastic strike! Tottenham were able to get one back in the 72nd minute through Richarlison before Heung-Min Son made it 4-2 just 5 minutes later. Overall, it’s still a great win for Liverpool. The Reds remain third in the league and their next game is away at Aston Villa next Monday. As for Tottenham Hotspur, it’s another defeat for them! Spurs remain 5th in the table and they host Burnley next time out.
Sheffield United 1-3 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest picked up a massive 3 points away at Sheffield United to boost their Survival hopes! Sheffield United were awarded a penalty after Gonzalo Montiel stupidly fouled Ben Brereton Diaz, and it was Brereton Diaz who stepped up and scored to give Sheffield United the lead after 17 minutes! 10 minutes later though and Nottingham Forest were level as Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a really nice goal! Matz Sels then made a good save to keep Gustavo Hamer’s strike out before Chris Wood had a great chance which he hit the crossbar with! 6 minutes into the Second Half and Forest had the lead as Ryan Yates blasted the ball home from close range. Hamer then came within a whisker of making it 2-2 before Hudson-Odoi hit the outside of the post! However, in the 65th minute, Callum Hudson-Odoi did find the back of the net again to give Forest a 2-goal cushion! Things then got worse for Sheffield U as Anel Ahmedhodzic was shown a second Yellow card in additional time. In the end, it’s another defeat for Sheffield United. The Blades remain bottom of the league and they go to Everton next time out. As for Nottingham Forest, this is a massive win for them! Forest stay 17th in the table and their next game is a big one at home to Chelsea.
Burnley 1-4 Newcastle
Burnley’s Survival chances took a massive hit as they got stuffed by Newcastle United. After 19 minutes, Newcastle had the lead as Callum Wilson tapped home on the rebound after Arijanet Muric’s initial save. In the 35th minute, it was 2-0 to Newcastle as Sean Longstaff scored with a nice finish! It then got even better for the visitors as Bruno Guimaraes scored to make it 3-0 just 5 minutes later! In the Second Half, Newcastle had a penalty which Alexander Isak saw saved by Muric, but just three minutes later, it was 4-0 and Isak was able to find the back of the net! And in the 86th minute, Burnley were able to at least get one back as Dara O’Shea scored with a good header. In the end, it’s not the day that Burnley were looking for. The Clarets stay 19th in the table, and they go to Tottenham on Saturday knowing they have to win if they want any chance of staying in the Premier League. As for Newcastle United, this is a good win for them! The Magpies rise to 6th in the league and they host Brighton next time out.
Luton 1-1 Everton
A point against Everton might not be enough for Luton Town and their Premier League Survival hopes! Everton were asking for a penalty after Dwight McNeil went down, and to be honest, they probably should’ve had it. Not much later though and Everton were awarded a penalty for an incident between Jarrad Branthwaite and Teden Mengi. Dominic Calvert-Lewin then stepped up and scored to put the visitors in front after 24! Just 7 minutes later though and Luton were back on level terms as Elijah Adebayo did superbly well to score! In the Second Half, Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a great chance to score again, but this time he was denied by Thomas Kaminski. In the end, it’s a decent point for Luton Town, but they realistically needed 2 more. The Hatters remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th) and their next game sees them head to West Ham! As for Everton, it’s an alright point for them all things considered. The Toffees stay 15th in the table and they host Sheffield United next time out.
Brighton 1-0 Aston Villa
Early on, Aston Villa wanted a penalty after Morgan Rogers was brought down by Facundo Buonanotte. For me, this is a penalty! Robin Olsen then pulled out a great save to prevent Pascal Gross from scoring before Olsen made another good save to deny Joao Pedro in the Second Half. Pascal Gross then thought he’d given Brighton the lead, but it was ruled out for a tight offside before the hosts were awarded a penalty after Ezri Konsa fouled Simon Adingra. It was then Joao Pedro who stepped up, and despite Robin Olsen originally saving the spot kick, Pedro headed home on the rebound to pick up a good victory for Brighton! Overall, Brighton and Hove Albion will be happy with this result. The Seagulls are now 11th in the table and they go to Newcastle next time out. As for Aston Villa, their bad week continues. Villa stay 4th in the league and they go to Olympiacos for a massive game on Thursday followed by a home match with Liverpool next Monday.
Chelsea 5-0 West Ham
Chelsea smashed West Ham United to keep their European dreams alive! After just 15 minutes, Chelsea had the lead as Cole Palmer coolly slotted the ball home once again! Jarrod Bowen then hit the crossbar for West Ham before Chelsea’s lead doubled in the 30th minute through Conor Gallagher. Just 6 minutes later and it was 3-0 to the hosts as Noni Madueke headed home from close range before Conor Gallagher managed to hit the crossbar from about 3 yards out! Bowen then hit the bar again for West Ham before Nicolas Jackson made it 4-0 just 3 minutes into the Second Half! Unbelievably, Jarrod Bowen then managed to hit the crossbar yet again before Nicolas Jackson got Chelsea’s 5th in the 80th! Overall, it’s another strong win for Chelsea! The Blues are now 7th in the league and they go to Nottingham Forest next time out. As for West Ham United, their season is really unraveling now! The Hammers stay 9th in the table and their next game sees them host Luton.
Crystal Palace 4-0 Manchester United
Crystal Palace kept up their impressive run of form by thrashing Manchester United at Selhurst Park. After just 12 minutes, Crystal Palace had the lead thanks to a goal from Michael Olise. Whilst Olise did do well here, the defending by Manchester United is absolutely shocking! Manchester United then had a goal ruled out for a foul on Goalkeeper Dean Henderson before Palace’s lead doubled in the 40th minute through Jean-Philippe Mateta. Once again, Jonny Evans was absolutely woeful here! In the 58th minute, Tyrick Mitchell scored to make it 3-0 before Michael Olise scored again 8 minutes later after some terrible play by Casemiro to make it Crystal Palace 4, Manchester United 0! Casemiro also then made another stupid error, but Odsonne Edouard could only hit the post! Overall, what a great day for Crystal Palace! The Eagles remain 14th in the table and they go to Wolves next time out. As for Manchester United, they’re absolutely appalling! United drop to 8th in the league and their next game is a massive one at home to Arsenal.
Brentford 0-0 Fulham
Bryan Mbeumo hit the crossbar for Brentford before Raul Jimenez had a golden opportunity which he poorly blasted over the bar! I’m not kidding when I say this could well be the worst highlight package for a game I’ve ever seen, like nothing happened! In the end, it’s just another point for Brentford. The Bees stay 16th in the table and they go to Bournemouth next time out. As for Fulham, they’re just waiting for the season to end now. The Cottagers remain 13th in the league and their next game is an important one at home to Manchester City.
