2023/24 Premier League Preview: Gameweek 37

Fulham VS Manchester City

Manchester City’s next step on their Title defense sees them go to Fulham for Saturday’s Lunchtime Kickoff. Fulham drew nil-nil at Brentford last time out and they currently sit 13th in the table. When it comes to Manchester City, they thrashed Wolves 5-1 last weekend and they are currently second in the league, but with a game in hand. In their previous 18 meetings, Fulham haven’t won once whilst Man City have won 16 times. Fulham’s last win over City came all the way back in 2009 (1-3). For Fulham, they'll be doing their best here to halt their opponents’ Title charge. The Cottagers are ranked 13th in GPG (1.4) and they currently have the 10th-best home record in the league. As for Manchester City, they just have to keep winning. City are ranked 1st in GPG (2.5) and they’re currently on a 32-game unbeaten run in all competitions (26W,6D).

My Prediction: 2-3

Bournemouth VS Brentford

Bournemouth got thrashed 3-0 at Arsenal last weekend and they currently find themselves 10th in the league. When it comes to Brentford, they drew 0-0 with Fulham last time out and they currently sit 16th in the table. In their previous 16 meetings, Bournemouth have won 4 times whilst Brentford have won 6 times. These two teams actually clashed in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy back in 2011 which is quite cool (Brentford won 6-0)! For AFC Bournemouth, they will really want to end the season in the top half of the table. The Cherries are ranked 11th in GPG (1.4) and they also currently have the 11th-best home record in the league. As for Brentford, they just want to end the season on a high. The Bees are also ranked 11th in GPG (1.4) and they currently have the 5th-worst away record in the league.

My Prediction: 3-1

Everton VS Sheffield United

Everton picked up a point away at Luton last Friday Night and they currently sit 15th in the table. When it comes to Sheffield United, they lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest last time out and they are already guaranteed to finish bottom of the league! In their previous 6 meetings, Everton have won 3 times compared to Sheffield United’s 2. For Everton, a win here would get them to 40 points which isn’t a bad effort all things considered. The Toffees are ranked 19th in GPG (1.1) and they currently have the 15th-best home record in the league. As for Sheffield United, it’s all about trying to end the season with some sort of positive result for them. The Blades are ranked 20th in GPG (1.0) and they currently have the worst away record in the league.

My Prediction: 3-0

Spurs are ranked 7th in GPG (2.0) and they’re currently on a 4-game losing run! As for Burnley, it’s literally “Win or Go Home” for them now! The Clarets are ranked 18th in GPG (1.1) and they currently have the 4th-worst away record in the league.

When it comes to Luton, they drew 1-1 with Everton last time out and they are currently 18th in the league, 3 points off Safety. West Ham won the earlier season meeting 2-1 (to go top of course). For West Ham United, David Moyes will really want to get a win here! The Hammers are ranked 8th in GPG (1.6), but they’re currently on a 6-game winless run in all competitions (2D,4L). As for Luton Town, they need a result here! The Hatters are ranked 14th in GPG (1.4) and they currently have the second-worst away record in the league.

When it comes to Crystal Palace, they managed to stuff Manchester United 4-0 last time out and they currently sit 14th in the table. Wolves are ranked 14th in GPG (1.4) and they currently have the 12th-best home record in the league. As for Crystal Palace, a win here would move them above their opponents. The Eagles are also ranked 14th in GPG (1.4) and they’ve managed to pick up 13 points from their last 5 games!

My Prediction: 0-2

Nottingham Forest VS Chelsea

Nottingham Forest host Chelsea in a key Saturday Night Football for both sides. Nottingham Forest picked up a massive 3-1 victory at Sheffield United last weekend and they currently sit 17th in the table, 3 points above the Relegation Zone. When it comes to Chelsea, they smashed West Ham 5-0 last time out and they are currently 7th in the league. In their previous 6 meetings, Forest have won once whilst Chelsea have won 3 times.
