2023/24 Premier League Preview: Gameweek 25

Brentford VS Liverpool

Brentford host Liverpool in the first game of Gameweek 25. Brentford picked up a good 2-0 win at Wolves last weekend and they currently sit 14th in the table. When it comes to Liverpool, they beat Burnley 3-1 last time out and they are currently top of the league. In their previous 5 meetings, Brentford have won once whilst Liverpool have won three times. For Brentford, they’ll be up for this game. The Bees are ranked 11th in GPG (1.5) and they currently have the 13th-best home record in the league. As for Liverpool, they can’t really afford to slip up here. The Reds are ranked 2nd in GPG (2.3) and they currently have the third-best away record in the league.

Burnley VS Arsenal

When it comes to Arsenal, they smashed West Ham 6-0 last time out and they are currently third in the league. In their previous 16 meetings, Burnley have only won once whilst Arsenal have won 12 games. For Burnley, they’ll do well to get a result from this game. The Clarets are ranked 19th in GPG (1.0) and they currently have the worst home record in the league. As for Arsenal, they should win this game comfortably. The Gunners are ranked 3rd in GPG (2.2) and they currently have the second-best away record in the league.

Fulham VS Aston Villa

When it comes to Aston Villa, they lost 2-1 at home to Manchester United last time out and they are currently 5th in the league. In their previous 19 meetings, Fulham have won 8 times compared to 7 wins for Villa. For Fulham, they’ll fancy themselves in this one. The Cottagers are ranked 12th in GPG (1.4) and they currently have the 8th-best home record in the league. As for Aston Villa, they need to start winning more games. Newcastle VS Bournemouth

Nottingham Forest VS West Ham

In their previous 16 meetings, Spurs have won 7 games compared to 5 wins for Wolves. For Tottenham Hotspur, they’ll be expected to win this game. Spurs are ranked 4th in GPG (2.1) and they currently have the 5th-best home record in the league. As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they can definitely get something from this game if they play at their best. Manchester City VS Chelsea

Manchester City host Chelsea in this weekend’s Saturday Night Football! Manchester City have beaten both Everton and FC Copenhagen in the past week and they are currently second in the league. When it comes to Chelsea, they won 3-1 at Crystal Palace last Monday and they currently sit 10th in the table. In their previous 37 meetings, Man City have won 20 games whilst Chelsea have won 12. For Manchester City, they need to make sure that they don’t slip up here. City are ranked 1st in GPG (2.4) and they’re currently on an 11-game winning run (in all competitions). As for Chelsea, they’ll need to be at their best here. The Blues are ranked 8th in GPG (1.7) and no team has been awarded more penalties than them in the league this season (8).

Sheffield United VS Brighton

Sheffield United picked up a huge 3-1 win at Luton last weekend, but they are still currently bottom of the league. When it comes to Brighton, they lost late at Tottenham last time out and they currently sit 9th in the table. In their previous 6 meetings, Sheffield U have won twice whilst Brighton have won once. For Sheffield United, they need to build on last week’s result. The Blades are ranked 20th in GPG (0.9) and they currently have the second-worst home record in the league. As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they need to win this game. The Seagulls are ranked 7th in GPG (1.8) and they currently have the 12th-best away record in the league.

Luton VS Manchester United

When it comes to Manchester United, they picked up a great 2-1 win at Aston Villa last time out and they are currently 6th in the league. In their previous 2 meetings, Man United have won both times without conceding a goal. For Luton Town, they will relish this challenge. Everton VS Crystal Palace

When it comes to Crystal Palace, they lost 3-1 at home to Chelsea last time out and they currently sit 15th in the table. In their previous 24 meetings, Everton have won 10 games compared to Palace’s 4. This will be the third time these two teams have played one another in 2024! For Everton, it’s important for them to take advantage of being at home. The Toffees are ranked 18th in GPG (1.1) and they currently have the 15th-best home record in the league. As for Crystal Palace, this is a really big game for them. The Eagles are ranked 17th in GPG (1.1) and they currently have the 13th-best away record in the league.
