2023/24 Premier League Preview: Gameweek 13

Manchester City VS Liverpool


The Premier League returns in style as Manchester City take on Liverpool at the Etihad in a First VS Second clash. Manchester City drew 4-4 at Chelsea in a crazy game before the International Break and they currently find themselves top of the league by just a point. Liverpool comfortably beat Brentford 3-0 last time out and they currently sit second in the table. In their previous 37 meetings, Man City have won 10 times whilst Liverpool have won 15 times. For Manchester City, it’s important for them to win this game. City are ranked 1st in GPG (2.7) and they currently have the 4th-best home record in the league (5 wins out of 5). As for Liverpool, this is a big game for them. The Reds are ranked 3rd in GPG (2.3) and they currently have the 7th-best away record in the league.

Burnley VS West Ham


Burnley lost 3-1 at Arsenal last time out and they currently sit bottom of the table. West Ham beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 in their last game and they are currently 9th in the league. In their previous 18 meetings, Burnley have won 5 times whilst West Ham have won 9 games. For Burnley, they need to start winning Football matches. Newcastle VS Chelsea


Newcastle host Chelsea in an exciting 3 O’clock kickoff. Newcastle suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss at Bournemouth last time out and they currently sit 7th in the table. Chelsea drew 4-4 in a crazy game with Manchester City before the International Break and they are currently 10th in the league. In their previous 26 meetings, Newcastle have won 8 times whilst Chelsea have won 14 times. For Newcastle United, they need to win this game. The Magpies are ranked 3rd in GPG (2.3) and they currently have the 5th-best home record in the league. As for Chelsea, this is a big test for them. Nottingham Forest VS Brighton

Bournemouth picked up a great 2-0 win at home to Newcastle last time out and they are currently 16th in the league. In their previous 8 meetings, Sheffield U have won 5 times whilst Bournemouth have only won once. For Sheffield United, this is a game they really need to win. The Blades are ranked 17th in GPG (0.8) and they currently have the third-worst home record in the league. As for AFC Bournemouth, this game will tell us a lot about this side. The Cherries are ranked 16th in GPG (0.9) and they currently have the worst away record in the league.

Brentford VS Arsenal


Brentford lost 3-0 at Liverpool in their last game and they currently sit 11th in the table. Arsenal beat Burnley 3-1 last time out and they are currently third in the league, just a point off the top of the table. In their previous 6 meetings, Brentford have won once whilst Arsenal have won 4 times. For Brentford, they’ll be looking to get straight back to winning ways. Tottenham VS Aston Villa


Tottenham host Aston Villa in what should be a really exciting game. Tottenham lost late at Wolves before the International Break and they currently find themselves in 4th. Aston Villa beat Fulham 3-1 last time out and they currently sit 5th in the table, just a point behind their opponents. In their previous 22 meetings, Spurs have won 17 times compared to 4 wins for Villa. For Tottenham Hotspur, they really need to win this game. Spurs are ranked 7th in GPG (2.0) and they currently have the 7th-best home record in the league. As for Aston Villa, this is a big test for them. Villa are ranked 2nd in GPG (2.4) and they currently only have the 13th-best away record in the league.

Everton VS Manchester United


Everton won at Crystal Palace in their last game, but they’ve since been deducted 10 points meaning they currently find themselves back inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th). Manchester United beat Luton 1-0 at home last time out and they currently sit 6th in the table. In their previous 29 meetings, Everton have won 6 times whilst Man U have won 15 games. For Everton, they’ll be angry coming into this game (which could work in their favour). The Toffees are ranked 12th in GPG (1.2) and they currently have the 4th-worst home record in the league. As for Manchester United, this feels like a big game for them. United are ranked 14th in GPG (1.1) and they currently have the 8th-best away record in the league.

Fulham VS Wolves


Fulham lost 3-1 at Aston Villa last time out and they currently sit 15th in the table. Wolves beat Tottenham 2-1 in their last game and they are currently 12th in the league.
